The initial estimate sounded reasonable and was presented as a discounted price, but by the time the job was completed, the final bill was nearly three times the original quote. There was little transparency about the additional charges, and I felt completely blindsided. I wish I had paid more attention to the other reviews before hiring this company. This was the worst cleaning I ever got. I asked for deep cleaning and was told 2 hrs. They came late and left a little after an hour. My new marble counter was damaged, window sills left untouched upon promise to clean, piles of dust under chairs. Overall horrible experience. read more

ADAM IS A SCAMMER - BEWARE! I originally hired Adam for a deep clean for $175 for a small empty studio apartment. From the start, he was pushy, even saying he wouldn't take the job if I called around for other prices. Against my better judgment, I went with him as I needed quick service. The cleaners arrived late, chatted most of the time, and barely cleaned until we began supervising them. Afterwards, Adam fraudulently charged additional amounts. I spent months disputing these charges with my credit card company and was only able to get one charge removed. Adam clearly knows how the credit card dispute process works and uses it to his advantage. I later discovered on Reddit and Yelp that he's done the exact same thing to multiple people. Do not give this man your business. He is dishonest, sends unreliable cleaners, and will scam you for more money. Protect yourself and stay away from Purple Cow Cleaners. read more

BEWARE -- the price quoted to you and that you pay for up front is NOT the final price that you will be charged by this company. Purple Cow Cleaners will up-charge you depending on how long the crew takes to clean and depending on how many people decide to come clean your house (two variables that you have no control over). My final bill for cleaning a two story house with no furnishings was over $1200 for four hours, almost triple what I was quoted. The cleaning crew did a decent job, but I highly doubt the cleaners were paid over $80/hour. They also did not follow basic instructions, they removed protective floor coverings (damaging my floors) and did not clean areas that I had requested cleaned. When I followed up with the company with these issues, I have received no response. I will not use this company again. Do yourself a favor and book directly with some cleaners, not a company like this who outsources the work and then charges you triple. read more

DO NOT EVER EVER use this company. Please do not let the ease of booking and the glowing reviews leave you feeling confident. Whilst this company allows you to book online, they are not honest. For every home cleaning you should do a walk-through this company does not. They will just state an initial clean is a certain price- it varies per apartment and per house. Then the day before they will give you all this communication. However, day of, you are left in the dark. YOU as the PAYING costumer have to contact the office and ask where are the cleaners. Then they show up and because they did not do an initial walk through they will ask to over charge but you will be subject to a refusal to say how much day of. Then when you are obviously angry at this and write a negative review, the owner calls you and will attempt to rectify and says do NOT post bad review, I will fix it. Then they still charge you over and did not rectify. Then when you are over their company and want to remove your account and services you have to call them. God Forbid you do not return Adams calls. He will call you at least 5-6 times and then text you 8 texts. Then if you block him because that is harassment at that point you better turn your phone off because he will have other people call you to reach you. Unfortunately, there is no where to report this harassment. Between the fiasco of over charging, Adams MAJOR meltdown, and the harassment from this company I highly advise stay far away. My experience with Purple Cow Cleaners was HORRIBLE. Hired to do a "DEEP CLEAN" but they barely cleaned anything. They did not touch the dishwasher, kitchen cabinets or fridge. Did NOT CLEAN washer & dryer exteriors, doors & door frames, light switches, under beds, inside furniture, set stage items, blinds, bathroom cabinets & drawers, surround tub, grout, window sills, interior windows, Their tactic is to move every single item you have around so it looks like they cleaned, but when you check you WILL find dust everywhere. They leave everything you have askew, including furniture so you have to reset EVERYTHING YOU HAVE! They do that so it LOOKS like they cleaned but they did NOT!! THEY CLOSED AND LOCKED BEDROOM DOORS WHEN CLEANING AND I HAD TO BANG ON THE DOOR TO BE LET IN??? WHAT were they doing in there--something untrustworthy????? They OPENED DRAWERS!! They use a DRY washcloth to clean?? I asked where the liquid cleaners were- Mara, the lead, said "in the car"- I asked her to get them and she told me to "call the office". Mara was angry all of the time- she had a chip on her shoulder as it was clear to me she did not like her job- she was always aggravated and IF she answered me she gave curt, rude answers. They made me uncomfortable in my own house. They had no regard for my things. They did not even move hall or kitchen runners to clean floors, they went around them and left dust underneath. They moved some of my JEWELRY from my dresser to the closet?? WHY??? I wonder if anything is missing- I am diligently checking.... My house seems dirtier since they came as they MOVED the dust around, THEY DID NOT CLEAN ACCORDING TO DEEP CLEAN CHECKLIST. I texted them during the job telling management what was going on, they said the cleaners would be "happy to redo"- but they did NOT---I called the owner Allan to complain, he said he'd call me back but never did. The cleaners should be ashamed of themselves for pretending to clean and for their horrible attitudes-- and there's no excuse for the owner not calling me back.and/or charging for the abomination that occurred and the attitudes I had to contend with in my home. My daughter paid for this service for me as a gift since I was recently in the hospital- ADAM- you need to refund her money as she paid for nothing but aggravation.
