WOW. What can I say? From the moment we stepped in the door until the second we left I had just an absolute awesome time conversating with Gary while my husband tried on clothes. We were there because he needed FR blocking clothing for an upcoming job and this place has all the work wear you would need (even for ladies). Huge inventory and very fair prices. As my husband tried on the clothes I kept bringing, Gary was the sweetest most interesting guy. He likes George Burns & Elvis a lot. Has cool facts, pretty cool. When my husband yelled "boss!" he said "me or her?" and later my husband yelled "hey babe!" and he was like "now thats all you!". Cracked me up and kept me entertained the whole time.. All this from a work wear store! WOW. Worth mentioning..Saving your receipt is important.

I got on this cool machine that evaluated my feet which would help her find the proper fitting shoes based on my feet. Pretty cool! She also was able to email it to me so I have for future reference. She brought out 4 pairs of sneakers for me and inserts that would help my feet feel more supported in them. And they really do make a difference. I opted for the Hokas - I was really trying not to get them but they were the most comfortable ones out of the 4. The inserts are expensive and so are Hokas but I did get them so my feet can get relief. Update: I have worn them several times, it does take a bit of getting used to walking in them but these shoes hug my feet and it takes the pain away. It's definitely a different feeling from the other sneakers I've been wearing (Allbirds) which I loved but found I needed much better support. This place has wonderful shoes, supportive flip flops (Oofos), sandals, inserts and pretty handbags as well. So thank you Melissa for your help that afternoon and being very patient and so knowledgeable.

Stopped into Road Runner Sports in Concord looking for a new shoe for my upcoming Presidio race and ended up having a really great experience. I was greeted immediately and helped by Travis, who walked me through their foot analysis process. They have a scanner that provides a detailed report on your foot size, gait, arch type, and overall movement patterns. It was fascinating to see all the information and learn more about how I walk and train. After trying several options, I went with the Nike Pegasus 42, and they are incredibly comfortable. I also signed up for their VIP Family program, which includes discounts on purchases and a 90-day return policy, making it easy to feel confident about the investment. The store carries a great selection of running, walking, and athletic shoes for both men and women, along with apparel, supplements, socks, and accessories. The experience was so good that I actually went back the next day and picked up the cutest running hat that says "Cheaper Than Therapy Run Club." I fully plan on wearing it to the race. On my second visit, Alberto helped me and provided the same excellent customer service. I also learned about their weekly community run/walk club, which meets Thursdays at 6 PM and utilizes the nearby Iron Horse Regional Trail. It's open to runners, walkers, families, kids, and even dogs, making it a welcoming option for all fitness levels. Overall, a fantastic experience and a great resource whether you're a seasoned runner or someone just beginning their journey.

We came in to…read morefind shoes for my mother-in-law, and the level of care he provided was truly exceptional! Marcos was incredibly patient and genuinely caring throughout the entire process. He noticed my mother-in-law was wearing a 7.5 wide and although it was a good fit, suggested an 8 wide instead to better accommodate her feet. And it was! She felt more balance and less tension and it showed on the treadmill when she was able to increase her MPH. He didn't just stop at the size, though; he performed a full walking analysis and constantly monitored her stride to ensure the fit was perfect. Even though the store was incredibly busy, Marcos never rushed us. He must have gone back and forth to the stockroom at least a dozen times to pull different options, knowing full well we were only there to buy one pair. He personally swapped her insoles into every single shoe she tried on--and we probably went through about 8 different pairs in various sizes. His expertise really shines when he talks about the technical side of things, like toe-gap and overall comfortability. On top of the technical fit, he has a great eye for aesthetics; he picked out colors that perfectly matched my mother-in-law's personal style. It's rare to find this kind of dedicated service. We will definitely be coming back to see Marcos when it's time to get shoes for my wife!

Nazima is by far one of the best, if not the best customer service professional I've ever interacted with. She immediately complemented me on my outfit selections and eventually got me to sign up for the credit card. I am literally paying off my credit cards to be debt free and I'm very anti-credit card at the moment...but the rapport she built in SECONDS+ the obvious value of the discounts when you sign up, but mostly it was the experience with Nazima that had me sign up for the card, when I never in a million years would've thought I would've been signing up for a credit card today. I objected twice (as I was giggling because she was making it such a no-brainer), but with her charm and knowledge of how much money I would save, She pushed through those objections, and I willingly signed up, and was grateful that I did! I will be going to Kohls for all my clothes. Nazima turned a first timer into a regular! Thank you Nazima! She deserves a raise! She said she was number 12 in the company. I believe if she was training everyone Kohl's credit card card sales would skyrocket.

Bargain Hunting Day at Marshalls - Episode 3, the Final Episode!…read more This was our final Marshalls stop of the day--and let me tell you, it couldn't have come soon enough for me. (If you've read my last two Marshalls stores reviews on this day, you'll know my supporting enthusiasm for bargain hunting had reached its limit! :-) That said, even in my bargain-fatigued state, I could see why my significant other was excited about this one. According to her, this Pleasant Hill location had the best selection of the day--and judging by the crowd, plenty of others agreed. It was the busiest of the three stores we visited, and while that meant things were a bit scattered (thanks to customers leaving items everywhere), the merchandise itself was impressive. I spotted a lot of familiar brand names on everything from shoes to clothes to home goods. This store seems like a solid place to find quality items without paying full price. While she was happily exploring, I hung out near the entrance and ended up chatting with a couple of staff members. Even though they were clearly busy, they were still answering questions and helping customers with genuine smiles. It was actually kind of fun to watch. We wrapped up our day with a few more great finds. She was happy--and that's a win in my book.
