She was always polite and professional, and she helped us with our coupon situation. The ambiance of the store is great, I love how comfortable and inviting everything is laid out. On top of all that, the workers are great! Easy to find. Plenty of parking. When you walk in it looks like a small store but its huge, they offer a variety of different clothing. Friendly, & welcoming staff. Lydia was super helpful & knowledgable in explaining to my MIL & I how the sizing worked because we went in w/o my FIL. Showed Lydia & a different staff member a picture we had of him in his suit & I was impressed at how they both had the same estimate, with out even talking to each because we were talking to Lydia the whole time. DXL is a godsend for the extra rounded, like me. Let me preface this by stating that I am a woman who wears and feels only comfortable in men's clothing. The first time I walked into this store I was greeted by a nice yound man who asked me how he could help me. I said, " I am a lady who wears men's clothes". He was cool and said, "Okay, let me know if you need help with anything". The store smells heavily of their signature cologne and like something damp so if you are sensitive to scents I suggest you prepare for that. This didn't affect my time there. I found the clearance section in the very back of the store. If you're like me and are on a budget this section comes is clutch because let's be honest this store if expensive AF! It is soooo worth it as a person of size to go into a store and know they will have your size, know that they have experience assisting large human's and know that it won't be an embarrassing experience. In a nutshell, I've been to this store many times. My favorite part is the tailor. She gets me and accepts how I want my style to be. We bought him Jordan's for Christmas that the girl's in my office giggled about after putting their tiny sized 6 feet into the big shoes! Thankfully these sandals were less than 1/10 of the price of the Jordans. We paid $35 for an awesome pair and his older brother picked out a pair of $20 sunglasses, so both kids went home happy! The store in Oakland closed. The one in San Leandro is tiny and they didn't have much inventory. Rochester's in SF closed. We were meeting friends for a birthday dinner in Concord that was five minutes from this store so I went in. I'm down to one pair of long pants that I like. Shirts I can easily get online but pants are much more challenging to purchase. I tried on about 12 pairs and two fit well. Sadly they are both khaki but delighted to have pants. Talk about customer service. My size has me at the upper end of department stores where it's been frustrating to find clothes that fit and I look good in. I'm tired of the same ol 'fat man's polos and chinos'. I was greeted as soon as I walked in, even though they were in a staff meeting. They quickly determined I am an independent shopper, and opened a changing room for me, and for the most part allowed me to look. Their check-ins were appropriate for my taste, and I could tell if I wanted to be pampered they would give that service. Just not my style. Another pair of men came in and they knew them by name, style, and even guessed another man's size just by eyeballing. I was really impressed with this store I thought it was going to be a big and tall store I never been to one before so I had pretty low expectations. But what I found was a store full of any kind of clothing you'd like I was looking for church clothes so I needed a nice sweater and a dress shirt I found Brands like Polo and Levi's and other name brand clothing that I usually can't wear because they're too small at stores like Macy's. I ended up leaving with a lot more clothes then I had intended on but I found almost felt like had to take advantage while I was there they have a lot of regular size clothes but if you need to wear size 3x or above they've got a lot of stuff like that too. read more

I bought a pair of work boots here a while ago and had to take them back because the seams on the boots were falling apart after only 5 days of wearing them. I was very disappointed, but it was not the stores fault obviously. It was craftsman for poor quality. I give 3 stars because when I went to return the boots, it was a pleasant experience. The kind lady at the counter refunded my money back with no issues. I'm not sure about any other product from this store, but I would not buy the craftsman work boots. read more

Not only did I get great customer service and lots of help from a very capable staff but I was supposed to pick up my Dress pants today for a Funeral tomorrow, But with everything that was going on I totally spaced and forgot all about it. I called the Store 20 minutes after it closed and asked if there was any way someone could wait for me to get there in order for me to pick up the pants which I had them hem for me. To my amazement the Manager stayed and waited in the parking lot for me to drive from Antioch to concord where this particular DXL is located.
