This was a new experience for me. I didn't know what to expect. I walked in and the room felt a little overwhelming. But almost instantly someone asked me if I needed help and started helping. He started bringing me shirts and a pant that he thought would fit. The pant fit perfectly. The short sleeve shirt was perfect and the long sleeve was a little small. They didn't have my size. While I was at the register they hemmed my pants and made the uniform the way it was suppose to be. I was surprised on how quickly I was in and out. Service was super friendly and the two gentlemen that helped me were awesome. I have to go back for the shirt they didn't have on stock but I am happy I came here versus Suisun. This place is horrible, I wish my agency used a different place. This was my first time here I was told by my agency to just show up, since we pay for uniforms out of pocket and the guy specifically said to me he couldn't help me bc I needed a voucher. It seemed as he didn't want to help me as if he thought I didn't work for an agency who orders thru them. One of the ladies in the back came out to help me but this store has nothing everything is on back order. She called me to say one of my shirts was ready, when I showed up I said shldnt this have my name she said yes you get name didn't offer to order me a metal plate with my name. My coworker had to come back bc her name was not embroidered on her uniform. I keep calling to make sure I don't have the issue with my shirt that's back ordered bc I don't have time to keep taking trips here...and no answer. I also need to order a name plate since that was not offered. I need to get a pin and tie they shld know what ppl need for their position and offer it at once or package deal...as expensive as they are they shld give exceptional svc and there shldnt be this many issues. I guess I'll have to to take a trip and deal with the horrible in person svc since they aren't answering. read more

Coming here for years you learn if you treat staff right, you'll get the best service. If you want your uniform to fit correctly then hopefully your agency contracts with them because your missing out. If not figure out a way to be able to purchase and have your uniforms tailored here. One of the worst uniform stores around. Sadly, I have been forced to use Concord Uniforms for the last ten years due to my agency directing me there. I have had nothing but negative experiences with poor customer service. The staff is rude and doesn't even attempt to be polite. In fact, the last time I went in for a uniform I brought my wife and kids with me and warned them ahead of time that these people will be rude and mean to us, but just tolerate them while I pick up my uniform. Who runs a business like this? I received a phone call saying that my uniform was ready to be picked up. When I arrived the store hours had been changed due to Covid, so I sat in the parking lot for 45 minutes waiting for them to open. Okay, I understand we're in a pandemic and the website hasn't been updated. No big deal. When I enter the store the blonde woman behind the counter was rude and ignored me for a minute or so. When I told her why I was there she seemed annoyed and questioned me why I had even come to the store at all. She told me I shouldn't have come at all and that my uniform hadn't even begun to be altered. I played the voicemail to her of the message I had received. She immediately began bad mouthing "the new lady" who called me and "doesn't know what she's doing". No apology. No customer service whatsoever. Just a huff of disgust and "well your just gonna have to come back another time. We'll call you" and turned and walked away. If you can avoid this place by any means please due so. They don't deserve the business of any first responders or public safety agencies. Disgusting. read more

I have to preface that I have to give Rick 5 stars and is the only reason I would consider going back. On the other hand the older blonde lady with glasses that works behind the counter could use a couple weeks..( maybe month due to the other reviews I read) at customer skills training. Walk in and she just stares at you.... no "hi" "welcome" "anything you looking for?" It's a shame she works for a company that provides a service where her clients are first responders, and to have such a negative attitude every time is unacceptable. Maybe find a new career field ?? I have called this store at least 6 times now over the last 2 weeks ,all within normal business hours. No one has ever answered the phone, and there is no voice mailbox. Pretty crappy customer service. I think they get by because there's not many other options in the area. Also the wait times for uniforms is ridiculous. read more

My husband is a regular at Concord Uniforms since working in law enforcement. Kenny, Rick and Julie are super down to earth and awesome service providers. I often drop off items for my husband and thankfully Kenny takes one look at it and knows exactly what needs to be done. They go the extra mile: During my pregnancy with my son I wanted to make my husband a special diaper bag. Rick and Kenny made me custom patches and sewed them to the camo bag I had bought. I had a uniform emergency at work when my zipper came off track. Everyone there was so nice and the shop was able to hem my new pair of pants while I paid for them (on my lunch hour). First and last time visiting this place. I just moved to the area from Massachusetts where my ambulance service and local uniform shop had a great working relationship. I went to Concord Uniform to have my patches replaced with California patches and to get a new job shirt. There was an older man and a younger man working the counter, no other customers in the store. I went to the counter and asked for a California Paramedic patch and was simply told "No" by the older man. I showed him my Massachusetts patch and said it would be an EMT patch with a paramedic rocker was told "No" again. I felt completely dismissed, his attitude made be feel like it was inconvenient for me to be shopping there. I didn't even bother looking for a new shirt and left. I don't know who runs this place but they should really talk to their employees about how to talk to customers. read more

This place is awesome. I've never had a problem with products or services and they have truly helped me out of a few jams. Many complain about the "outrageous prices" of Concord Uniform. These people clearly do not understand something called value. If you buy a pair of pants for $99 and pay nothing for alterations, the pants are $99. Other uniform shops have items for a bit less, but charge $10 per alteration, easily driving the price higher. As for service, there have been many times when I have needed something quick because I was in a pinch. Almost every time, they were able to accommodate and fixed/altered while I waited. Many complain that they are not as cheep as some online retailers. Well, if you live in one of the highest rent markets in the country, there is going to be a bit of an additional cost for the convenience of not having to drive very far for your products. This cost is not placed by them, but part of their overhead to stay in business. Truly a great place for your uniform needs. read more

Super nice folks there! Came in to get a Silver snap on a leather duty gear accessory changed with a brass snap. They did it for no charge! Although most of their uniform clothing items are for Contra Costa County agencies, they have a good selection of leather duty gear items as well as footwear. A nice hidden gem for law enforcement folks in the East Bay looking for accessories and don't want to make the trip to Galls in San Francisco! read more

I have bought uniforms from here for years. My agency recently changed their contract from Concord Uniforms to Briker-Micolla ( Hope I spelled it right) in Oakland. So I called Briker on Monday to see if they were open and they were closed for the next few days for inventory. The uniforms I need are $102 a set at Briker. Since I was in need, I called Concord and they charge $138 a set. Now I planned on buying two sets and boots..I explained that and asked if they would match pricing. Went to look for some tactical work pants , customer service was horrible . I walked in the lady at the counter look up at me and look away , didn't even say hi or anything . I walked around looking for the pants and other gear and she did even offer help or anything . It seemed like she acted like I wasn't even there . I ended up walking out empty handed. I had ordered a pair of Danner boots through them and I was told they'd be in within a week and a half. After waiting for a month I decided to get my money back. At this point I should have ordered direct or through Amazon, I'm sure I would've received them in a few days. The staff is nice and the place has an ok selection. 3 stars is for my extended wait. If I would've received a courtesy call to let me know what was happening rather than me calling and annoying the staff, they would get a higher rating from me. It's not a bad place, but I would recommend ordering any gear they don't carry directly from the company or Amazon. read more

Pretty disappointed. Second time I've gotten uniforms from Concord and both times I asked and paid for the shirts to be altered/tailored. Both times the shirts were untouched and basically just right off the shelf with the patches added. Learned my lesson here. read more

If they don't have what you need in stock it takes them forever to get it. They said 10 days and it took 5 weeks to get 2 uniforms! No customer service skills and are a joke. Will never go there again. read more

My husband goes here for all of his uniform/equipment needs and is impressed with them completely. They are fast, friendly and know what they are talking about. He broke the zipper on his duty bag and needed it fixed ASAP. I called around our area trying to get it mended and no one could do it in less than a week. We called Concord Uniforms and they said they could do it that day. The bag wasn't repairable so we bought a new one. Within a few minutes they had stitched his name on the bag and he was good to go. read more
