Next, Whispering Oaks is one of the cleanest, well maintained campgrounds, and very reasonably priced. I've ever stayed at, and I've stayed at many. We stayed in one of their little log cabins, which was an adorable log cabin, rustic style. No bathroom or water in the cabin, but the bath house was very close by. The cabin had power, small fridge, microwave, cable tv, heat, a/c, double bed, and twin bunk beds. Linens, towels furnished, but I always recommend bringing your own pillows. It was clean, quiet and cozy. Perfect for families. I wouldn't recommend staying here if you plan on partying. It was really quiet by 10pm. Highly recommend if your in the Baldwin/M37 area.

To my surprise the owners texted to check on our progress. Not once did they ever have anything but a positive attitudes. We made it in and got settled very late. The time difference had us off slightly. The whole cabin was well furnished and extremely clean. It was very roomy and came with amenities most 5 star hotels don't! I was completely shocked at the experience and have now found a new place for my family to go whenever we feel a need to "get away", which is often! Upon our departure, the owner was even nicer than when we first met! I am so pleased with this place I will recommend you trying it out for yourself. Having rented canoes from several other places across the country, I can't say I've ever been as…read moreimpressed as I was with Baldwin Canoe Rental. They were AWESOME!!! Since we were staying at Bowman Bridge Campground on the Marquette River, my wife and I wanted to avoid driving back and forth between Baldwin at the start and end of our trip, especially after a few delicious river Oberons. I sent them an email and Troy was quick to respond. They were able to pick us up at our campsite the next morning (on time!) and take us straight to the launch. Not needing to stop in the rental office was greatly appreciated as was the fact that they take care of the river permits for you! Even better was that when we got back to the campground, we didn't need to call and wait for a pickup. We simply put the canoe up on a rack and continued on with our day! It looked like they have staff and buses at each of the major stops of the river, ready to help out and transport any groups as they came in and every employee we ran into was super friendly. Seriously, I can't say enough about how great of a livery this place was! It's a seriously well-run operation that made our little weekend getaway so much more enjoyable!

Has lots of things to do for little kid, they have rotating weekly schedule. My toddler loves the playground & big sandbox. We ate some ice cream too as a night treat. I definitely want to be back next year. Just one small thing to keep in mind: as a T mobile user, all of us don't have any cell service. The only place they have wifi is the Cove, so we took turn to spend a short time there to use wifi to keep in touch with family at home. We are okay with no wifi but it is a bit difficult with no cell service.

Property is newer and well maintained. It's not far from downtown, the boardwalk, and stores. Some spots along the river have better visuals as some of the weeds need to be trimmed for optimum viewing. Our spot for an extended weekend had an obstructed view of the river and the boats as a result of the weeds. Each spot has a fire pit and picnic table. The office sells fire wood and ice and other items needed for camping. Property is easy to walk and offers a dog park. Free WiFi that works VERY well. Best I've used in an RV resort. Pool, hot tub, and tennis courts are on the grounds as well. We enjoyed our time here and plan on returning next year, hopefully the weeds are trimmed by then.

This trip we traveled without our kids and enjoyed the amenities. Our niece and nephew visited one night for a campfire and they enjoyed the campground too. This is the perfect location for us to visit our family in Glen Arbor. We spent the week biking the Heritage Trail and visiting Empire Beach. The staff is always friendly and accommodating. The showers are always clean. It was nice to see they added a second laundry facility. We have a travel trailer so we stayed in the general campground. Our site was 413 and the long back in with no problem getting in. Our escort, John, was fabulous. He helped us get set up and was always able to answer any questions. The store is convenient and the popcorn at check in was a welcome touch. Since we didn't travel with kids, we didn't pack smores supplies so the store being open until 8 was appreciated. The pool was a nice afternoon retreat after a morning of biking.

Sleep on a wooden platform that did have a lower grade mattress. Sticky floor. That first night there was a critter under the cabin that kept me awake. Stay night two and then we were out of there. Never going back, EVER!! Don't waste your money. $80/ night for a smelly, nasty cabin. Go anywhere else, but not here'.
