Was drivable, but were were nervous with a four hour leg ahead of us. They searched for new and used options, and didn't have a perfect fit. They sensed my family was nervous and found a mismatch tire that would get us home safer than what we rolled in on. 25 minutes and four ice cold waters later we were on our way for a modest sum. Joe was off to ravioli dinner with his mom and Vic to his adult kids. They took care of us like they knew us for years... even after they learned we were from Boston! The mechanic explained that they couldn't do that because of state law and that is fine. Then the owner accused me of putting the inspection on different cars!?! What is wrong with this guy? Save yourself the aggravation and go somewhere else. BTW - his workers are very respectful and hard working. His attitude cost them well deserved tips.

Chris at Ridge Street was AWESOME -- over the phone with a description of the symptoms, he was able to confidently tell me exactly what he would do to to confirm his hypothesis. We brought the car in and it worked out really well -- he did the diagnostic and confirmed his suspicion. There was no pressure to get the car fixed with him, and he told us that we could still drive the car and got us on on merry way. After getting our day done, we simply dropped the car off at the gas station later that night. They fixed the car in 2 days time and let us pick it up on off hours, again using the gas station. It was great -- hope not to be in need again, but will definitely go back if I have to.

The most egregious was their claim that our front brake rotors and pads were worn and dangerous. Ironically we had put in new front rotors and pads at our local Lexus dealership two months earlier. The owner said that our air suspension was iffy and that they also needed attention. Because of his claim that we needed front rotors, we knew that this place was a ripoff clown show. We were nervous about the air suspension so we stopped by the dealership. The Service Manager checked and said the air suspension was perfect. I would be extremely wary to bring my vehicle into these grifters. Not only what they told us was abhorrent, but the fact that they put the fear of God into us over their claim of a worn out, pricy air suspension. If they'd do this to us, why wouldn't they do it to you? STAY AWAY!

Horrible horrible horrible long wait this morning with my Autistic child. I got there at 8am per my…read morephone call with the person that answered phone the day prior. Was told they could put my license plate on the front. I waited 2 and a half hours (one of those hours I took my son yo the park). Called for a status update while at park & was told my car was still not worked on. I spent another 30 minutes at the park before heading back to mechanic. I saw my car still sitting outside with no work bring done on it. I go in with my child & wait more. An hour & 10 minutes passed & still no work on my car. It's literally parked in the same spot from when I got there at 8am. I inquire about the time frame & was told I have to wait for the only mechanic they have to try to put my front plate bc no one else can do it. The only mechanic they have for this hard task finally shows up. He tells me he can only put my plate with zip ties bc they don't have the parts. They have to order the parts from dealer. The guy from the previous day's call tells me he didn't know I wanted my plate up with brackets & they can put my plate with zip ties. The rage that exploded within me. I will never give those people my business after this ordeal & while having my special needs child with me. Completely unprofessional to make a person wait that long for a mechanic to zip tie a license plate. So you gonna tell me no one could zip tie my plate in the morning, when I first got there, if you didn't have the parts for my car? It had to be that one mechanic? Horrible injustice. I will make sure my whole family & friends stop going there. Incompetence at it's finest.

I guess because I was paying cash up front he decided to say yes. Within a day of getting my car back, the stabilitrak light was back at it as I was on the highway and when they picked up the car a few hours later he gave me some story about the cars engine having been power washed and the spark plug cover was washed off. Within that same week of getting my car back, I was nearly smashed by an Amazon truck right by estoy 18 on I95Non my way, coincidentally, to the shop to thank them for their work. The stabilitrak light kept flashing, the car started to choke then it stopped moving although it was on. I left the car with them and a few days later he assured me everything was 10000% A-ok. About 2-3 weeks later, the stabilitrak light starts beeping and flickering again. When I reached out yet again, he assured me it was simply a misfire and all was ok. Upon meeting Chris, I explained to him this is what would happen prior to me taking the car to him and the car had left me stranded with my toddler and I needed to be sure the car wouldn't do that again otherwise I'd take the loss rather then invest the near $11GRAND I paid him- not to mention I also paid for new brakes and it has come to light that he didn't even change my brakes at that, which leaves me to wonder what else he did not fix all though I made sure to have my payment in full to him because of his reassurances. I even sent business his way because of how kind he was. I have called and texted several times over the last few weeks and apparently he has blocked me because it goes straight to voicemail and the bubbles went from blue to green. The stabilitrak light continues to light up, and the car begins to "jerk" among a slew of other things. I share all of this to say, it's a hot Sunday, we were trying to celebrate my daughter's birthday and the stabilitrak light pops up, it says to turn off the AC- which isn't even on, and now I'm on the side of the road in a situation I specifically ask he not place me in by being honest and saying he didn't know if he could fix the car- with my child!!!! Poor service/workmanship and port etiquette in customer service don't even cover what this is. Shame on you Chris for speaking so poorly of other mechanics and shop owners about letting their egos get in the way of quality customer service and honesty when you are EXACTLY like them! Pumped gas here before- but didn't think once about getting my oil changed. With no appointment, went on a whim and wished to be seen before doors closed at 5pm. Pulled up and told to inquire in the "office". Asked Christine- who mans the office and suggested I return the following day, but that didn't cut it for me- and I was in- after some hesitation. As I'm getting a price quote, a man (whoever he is) had the audacity of smoking right in the office. Told Christine I'd wait outside and not be bothered by all his cigarette smoke and went back in a bit after. The "office" is dreary and seriously cluttered. Cushions on chairs are torn and decided it was best to stand. But I kinda looked past that, and chitchatted with Christine while my car was getting serviced. We took care of logistics and finalized my payment. Affordable? I'm not sure- as I can't compare it to anything else except Valvoline's super cheap $19.95 sale. And while there are a million and one Valvoline's, their new model wasn't working for me. The approach here was friendly, professional and there was no lollygagging. I honestly felt confident with the guys here. They were reliable and Christine made waiting- effortless.

I own a GV70 Genesis, my tire light went on I brought it to Genesis service department, they saw a…read morenail in tire, they recommended i bring it to JK's Auto Service on Fulton Ave. I explained my situation to the owner, he got my issue resolved within 15 mins, had his mechanic come out and put a plug in my tire and he then checked tire pressure in all my tires. I would highly recommend this auto service/repair place. Owner was extremely nice and resolved my issue quickly.
