There only open on Tuesdays and Thursdays 9 to 11 and 1 to 3. For children ages 2 to 12 years old. When entering you have to check in at the kiosk or the front desk. The place that looks like a large treehouse with two different floors, three slides, and plenty of things to do within the treehouse. The top level with the two big slides are for kids 5 and up Because you have to climb a ladder to get to the second level. There is an area for the kids under two to play with all kinds of toys. Lots of things for kids to play on and play with such as a kitchen with all the fixing grocery carts that seem to be the most popular area. Also, there was a book rack that you could sit down and read a book and comfortable chairs and couches with large Ottomans. Blocks and small basket ball hoop. There is also a kitchen so parents you can get you a cuppa coffee or water or hot chocolate and watch your kids play. They also have snacks for the little ones, there is a refrigerator. The bathroom is in the same area so no leaving the room.

It could use some landscaping, emptying of trash cans and renovation of the fields and tennis courts. They have a community center, a ball field, tennis courts in the back and an aquatic center. They also have a playground and two covered pavilions that you can rent for events. The pavilions do come with some strict rules though. The pavilions and their picnic tables are in dire need of a thorough pressure washing. You can however, fish in the lake. I saw someone doing it while I was there, but I am not sure how well stocked it is though. On a positive note, the recreation staff is very friendly and there is ample parking. The lake has blue benches all around that you can stop, rest and take it all in. There are ducks all over the place....I really mean all over the place. Almost too many of them.

From the maps view basically the huge lazy river side. As a non-resident the pricing i feel was a good value for goofing off in the water for roughly 3 hours. Tons of life guards doing an awesome job from what i could tell while watching the people watching the rest of us so i felt super safe and confortable they were keeping an eye on all the kids. They are very lax with enforcing the mask requirement, which was disturbing. Adult and children patrons, as well as staff, not wearing masks or improperly wearing masks risks everyone's safety. The Snack stand makes snacks to order, so I had to wait 15 minutes for an undercooked, doughy pretzel and a semi-decent slice of pepperoni pizza which costed me nearly $7. The upside is that there weren't a lot of people present and they didn't charge a "spectator" fee, which is something new that Skateland implemented for non-skating patrons.

It is run by donation so the prices vary depending on what you request but we found it to be an amazing deal for the quiet, delicious meals and space to wander in nature and reflect. The main house has several bedrooms with shared baths as well as one or two with a private bath. The main dining space is on the main floor which is where those staying eat dinner together provided by the staff. Other meals are on your own and there are portions of casseroles etc in a freezer for you to choose from and warm up whenever you might want a meal. They have coffee and tea and do ask for a small donation toward the costs of those but it means you can make things when you want and not have to rush for a morning breakfast time! The overall ambience is one of quiet as it is located in a wooded area with some trails around the house. You can stay inside in several rooms or sunroom, or find seating outside on a porch or along the lake or near the fire pit. It would be an amazing spot to host a weekend retreat or go with friends for a day, or bring a small group for a time together. The couple who run the spot are amazing and down to earth, and always willing to stop and have a conversation. They use volunteers to run the retreat center as well so it is a great way to give back to the community by giving of your time to help with meal prep, landscaping and other needed activities. We throughly loved our time there and the food was simply amazing! We are already looking at our calendars to pick a date for next time.

The retreat is a peaceful country setting and the interior and exterior provide plenty of peaceful areas for rest and reflection. I have not stayed overnight, but had the pleasure of Volunteering in the kitchen. It was a great experience to volunteer with a friend and work along side one of the owners in preparing meals for the guests. Everything has been thoughtfully planned out by the Husband and wife duo who own the retreat center. It was an absolute pleasure to be part of the experience. We took a break for lunch and ate in the back of the home where there was a huge deck with several porch swings and tables tucked away overlooking a pond. The fire pit looks absolutely perfect for a crisp evening. If you are looking for a Christian retreat or even a volunteer experience I would highly recommend!
