I think this place saved my life. Seriously, I was driving around in my 2007 Audi A4 for over a…read moreyear being exposed to exhaust /carbon monoxide. I mentioned that I smelled exhaust to my Audi dealer and they checked it and told me everything was fine. Cut to about 8 months later, when I was really dragging-so tired I couldn't do much exercise and my brain just wasn't working right. Around that time my car started sounding like a lawnmower was running inside the car. I took it to the dealer and they told me to take it to a muffler repair shop. I knew just who to see- the people at USM Discount Muffler, located near where I used to work, across from the bus terminal in Danbury. The owner (Hos) is always on the premises, supervising work and making sure customers are taken care of with a smile, 7 days a week. I called him on late Friday afternoon and he said I could bring it in the next morning, leave it overnight (I had to go out of town for the day) and pick it up on Sunday morning, no problem. Dropping the car off was easy, although the parking is a bit tight, they put my care into one of the bays and kept it there overnight for me, safe and sound. While waiting for my wife to pick me up, I watched the mechanic do work on cars, trucks, and vans. He was quite talented with his welding work, working quickly and accurately. He was a real pro. When I picked up the car the next day, the owner hoisted my car up and showed me exactly where they had cut and welded- turns out my exhaust system was much worse than I thought, but didn't need complete replacement; mainly both flex pipes coming from the engine needed replacement. The difference was immediately noticeable. No more noise from the engine, and my head felt clearer. Gradually over the next few days my energy level increased and I feel back to my old self. The shop was clean, organized. Waiting room was nothing special but clean and perfectly fine for waiting if you need to do that. Price was awesome, really good deal at only 395$ (parts and labor). Service was friendly, courteous, prompt. Quality of the work was excellent. I would definitely recommend using USM Discount Muffler for any exhaust system work. If you are driving around in a vehicle more than 5 years old, you should definitely get the people at USM Discount Muffler to check your exhaust system- it could save your life!

And let me mention she also stayed very late after store closed to help me as I arrived close to closing due to my work schedule, as well as the time she spent when I picked up the car to teach me how to use all the cool gadgets in my new car!!! She took care of me from start to finish!! She deserves the best sales person of the year award!!! Due to all of the reasons I listed above, I decided that night to buy a Subaru, not just from any office, but from that office in Brewster, put the deposit down, and drove off with my new car the next day. My new purchase happened and was based on the outstanding teamwork of these 3 individuals and the experience and service they provided to me. Thank you for all you have done for me, I am so happy I walked in your dealership that night..was the best 'let.me check this place out' I have ever tried... walked out happier then when I walked in. I know their service dept must be as good.. I love my new dark gray hybrid Crosstrek.. it is gorgeous and has the best technology features!! Not to mention the safety ratings are top of the top and is known for being the best in the snow too, need here in CT. All my neighbors and coworkers are making comments that they think it is beautiful and hot.. very sporty!! Every day I can't wait to drive to and from work for my 1 hour commute.... I just love driving in my new Subaru... I am sold.. I love Subaru now!!!... Btw.. I also love the app that I can turn on my car ahead of time from anywhere, to get cool with ac or warm the heated seats while I wrap up at work, etc .. or check to make sure I locked my doors and lock them.. and can turn on horn and lights to scare off potential losers trying to get in the car... while I lay in bed or anywhere!
