Wanted to support local business. Went day before ordered tires and made appointment. Guy at desk was great. Next day went for appointment sat there about an hour. Guy at desk comes in says they sent him wrong sizes. Ok not his fault. They already took tires off car and took 2 off rim . They put back on car. As I pulled out I heard a pop . My tire came off they didn't tighten lugs nuts . They ran out to street with jack and put tire on then hit every lug with a battery impact over torquing every lug nut. Went back day after got correct tire installed . Again no torque wrench or torque sticks they blasted lugs on with battery impact. I will not go back . read more

The worst and most dangerous shop around. The staff are grossly inexperienced and they give off a "thug" attitude if you express a complaint. They failed miserably at simple repairs and maintenance such as balancing, oil change, wheel alignments. We took in three cars and they didnt do anything right and gave excuses and quotes for additional unnecessary work. I went to another local shop and corrected their failures immediately. Speaking to others in this small community I wasnt surprised shen they also shared nightmarish stories about how awful Wheel & Tire Depot is. They dressed up the building, but thats about it. My wife went yesterday to this place to get her inspection done. Usually a very simple procedure since her car is only 4 years old. The salesman there, she said he was a Spanish guy but he never gave her his name. I know why. He TRIED to rip her off. I'm going to drop by this place during next week to give him a piece of my mind but for now I will give them an honest review of the "service" my wife got at this location. So she asked him for an inspection, he looked the car over and informed her that the vehicle couldn't possibly pass inspection with the condition of the car's tires. She told him she didn't know that the tires were bad. The car only has 40,000 miles on it since she doesn't drive it much. So he got out his tire pressure gauge and told my wife, he'll show her why. My wife was immediately suspicious after that because the air in the tire has nothing to do with tire treads or the condition of the tire. However she wasn't really sure of her suspicions, so she let him go through his spiel about why she needed all four tires replaced. He told her that this had to happen immediately as her inspection was up on Monday. He told her the vehicle was not safe to drive in this condition. Thankfully my wife was smart enough to tell him that she had to speak to her husband first to get his opinion before spending over 1,000 dollars just to get a $37 dollar inspection. My wife is a smart woman but he could only see her as a woman and someone to prey on. Someone he could manipulate into spending money on the lies he was telling. He told her the vehicle was dangerous to drive and under those conditions he would not give her the inspection. He tried to scare her into buying his BS but she didn't allow him to take advantage of her. It's not the 1940's anymore. You can't get away with this kind of behavior. I checked the tires when I got home. The tires were meaty when I felt the treads, I also used the penny trick to check the depth of the treads. The treads were past Lincoln's nose, perfectly fine and SAFE tires. We live in Mahopac so this is a local place. But the man who was working there yesterday is a piece of garbage. This review is a warning to future customers, be careful if you are a female looking for service, they will prey on you and try to rob you at Wheels & Tire Depot in Mahopac. She went down the block to Carlito's Mechanic Garage on Crompond and Pine Grove and they gave her an inspection without a word about the tires! read more

They are reasonable but after a tire rotation my brakes began making noise. I could not get the tires off with a pneumatic or a battery impact gun. I had to use a crow bar and extension. Not to mention they are expensive rims. A tire shop should know better. read more

4 minutes ago NEW I took my wife's car in to replace the turbo on her BMW X3. They replaced the turbo with a brand new one that I paid over $2,000 for it. They left my anti freeze cap off of the coolant reservoir tank. Gave me back the car with the the check engine light on. Told me to drive it for a few days and come back. I went back a couple of days later when the low coolant light came on. When I opened the hood I saw the cap next to my windshield wipers. He filled the coolant and played with one of the connectors on the turbo and said I was all good. A few days later our car broke down. Had it towed back to the shop. They checked over the car and Carlos told me I need coils and spark plugs. I left work early to go get the parts spent another $300 and 6 hours of my day driving to Ct. to pick up the parts and drop them off at the shop. When I got to the shop they told me my motor was blown. They never changed oil after they replaced the turbo and gave us back the car. To cover their butts they offered to replace the engine for no charge. I just have to buy a new engine that costs $4,500. Joe won't claim responsibility, my car has been there for weeks. The mileage on my receipts on two different cars I brought to the shop is so incorrect. One vehicle has 139,932. They 1st visit they wrote down 125,000, same vehicle when the turbo was done they wrote down 239,932. My car fax will definitely be saying that mileage tampering is happening to my car. My car is worthless now. I'm done with these aholes. Having it towed back home tomorrow and now I have to take them to court. My advice is stay as far away from this shop as possible.
