I would have liked to check it out, but my teenage sons were ready to leave after visiting the gift shop. The gift shop was clearly marked with an arrow to go up the stairs. There were so many cool things, we circled the shop several times and kept finding new items we didn't see previously. Wind chimes, incense, mugs, toys, clothes, kitchen gadgets, paintings, candles, etc. It really had something for everyone. The cashier was very nice and offered assistance while also allowing us privacy to shop without feeling like we were being watched. My only suggestion would be for more souvenir items specific to VT. There were a few but not many. I was able to find some silly things - a VT tic tac toe board and a small map of VT puzzle. There were bottle openers as well, but that wouldn't have been suitable for the friends we were getting gifts for. My son bought himself a multi-tool pen and little notepad. The best part has been the friendly and helpful dark-haired young woman at the register - I am quite sure it was the same one both visits. I needed a gas receipt the first time because for some reason the pump refused to make one, and she cheerfully provided it without even having to quiz me about which pump I'd used. The second time she responded most helpfully to my request for said non-alcoholic apple cider and took it to the counter for me while I used the rest room for which I'd waited as there were others ahead of me. Compared to some others throughout the state this store is smaller in size, but is well organized and stocked and always has what I'm looking for. They are very knowledgeable and amiable. This shop is worth a visit just to meet them. The wine shop is small, but they have a fantastic selection of organic, sustainable and biodynamic wines in all price points. The selection is so well curated. This isn't the shop to get the usual overpriced wines and not the place to get the cheap generic wines. This is the place to learn and try delicious and affordable wines you feel good about buying. Christian greeted us nicely and recommended certain ways of doing tastings and specs of each. He chatted while making bar menu cocktails for other guests. We each selected a regular flight and a reserve flight to try all their spirit options that we thought interesting. I can't say enough about how very impressed I am with the quality of the bourbons produced here. The double barrel bourbon, a maple bourbon and & a maple rye were all excellent choices on the regular flight menu. I also appreciated Perk coffee liqueur & the flavors and complexity of the Snowdrop gin. ($5 flight) On the reserve flight, friends chose the 15 year angel bourbon, 12 year rye reserve, aged snowdrop gin, and the vineyard rye full strength. ($12 flight) Really can't say enough about the quality that is offered here! Plus the facilities are inviting and I'd enjoy a day on the patio or to hear some music some afternoon, it's a great spot.
