Meh. Not a great…read moretime was had at Fantasia Gardens, but it's only mostly their fault. One, Orlando is mercilessly hot in August, so trying to mini golf in this weather is just putting things off on the wrong foot immediately. Fortunately there are actually a few spots of respite from the heat here, including one hole that is like inside of a cave, so you get to get all the way out of the sun, which is very much welcome. The course is showing some wear, especially on the "tee boxes." The starting point for every hole is a golf ball sized indent where you place the ball, effectively sinking your ball below the surface for your first stroke. So, when you put your initial shot, it has to "hop out" of the hole, causing all manner of whacky movements. I guess people kept putting their ball down and then stomping it into place to stop it from rolling around. On the 4th or 5th hole, there is a little animated mushroom that you are supposed to putt into. I putt into the mushroom hole annnnnnnd.....no ball came out. I walk all the way back to the front, in satan level heat, and tell them about this, to which they say, "it happens sometimes...." Well then....fix it! Anywho, I get back, and the Misses says that HER ball went in the mushroom hole too, never to return, so I had to walk BACK back to the front to get a ball for HER. We wound up just skipping the hole. This dance is actually a common threat here. The prospect of losing a ball is ever present. There are a few holes where you actually NEED to put a little ass on your shot. Not enough, and it rolls back. Too much and it jumps the course, which is surrounded by water and unretrievable terrain. We got lucky on a few other holes that I didn't have to walk back, back BACK to the front to get a new ball. They have a second half of the course where it's basically a tiny golf course that you putt on, replete with sand traps and hazards, and that looked cool, but it was just WAY too hot to bother with that noise. It was a free excursion for us, so I don't know about pricing, but if you have a heat tolerant group of adults, you might have an alright time. The Misses said SHE really enjoyed it. Our 7 year old was checked out by the 3rd hole. *shoulder shrug emoji*

Fantasia Gardens is a fun way to spend an afternoon near Disney, but it is unfortunately showings…read moreits age. I spent some time working at Disney, and I know for Disney it's all about "the show". This is the concept that we're creating a world for the guests that should be flawless and enjoyable. And for what it costs to come here, they truly deserve it. So, I was disappointed when multiple elements of the Fantasia Gardens course were not functioning or worn down. I expect better from Disney. On one hole, an entire statue was missing. On another, the poem that says trumpets will sound if you get a hole-in-one (someone in our group did), was met with silence. Frustrating and, more common perils of mini-golf also persist here, like tee-off pads being so worn down the ball doesn't stay put, or needs to be moved to a less-than-ideal lie just to tee off. Disney, you know better and should do better. The experience was still fun, but one could spend half the price for a better experience off Disney property. That should never be the case.

Disney's Winter Summerland - Oh and it snows every 6 minutes I believe

4 stars for a well-themed putt putt course on Disney property and a great way to have fun for less…read more$$. We recently visited this course while on Winter break with our kids who are ages 3 and 6 (and obsessed with putt putt) and we had a great time! There are two courses to choose from that both share a Christmas theme but one is Summer and one is Winter. We chose Summer because it was the least amount of wait. The wait is why it gets 4 stars... because it can get pretty busy here. While you wait for your turn there are some tables to sit at and they serve a limited amount of snack and drinks. The snacks are chips and ice cream and heavily over-priced so BRING YOUR OWN SNACKS. You will probably have a wait so this is a great time to feed your kids. One thing that's fun to do while you wait is play in the fake snow fall that comes down every 6 minutes (and also a fun photo op). Once you have a turn you are about 1-2 holes behind the family in front of you but it easily gets backed up depending on their group size so bring your patience :) The holes are super themed and have some fun obstacles. I won't give anything way so the surprises aren't ruined. All in all we do want to come back and try the Winter side!

One is themed to summer and the other to winter, but they both have a Christmas theme! I have played them both - I think I would recommend the winter on first - they have great obstacles, such as water, interactive elements and characters. It is about $10 a game - you sometimes get freebies for playing as well, such as golf balls, pens and sweets! The courses are usually really quiet - it is lovely to take a break from the busy crowds of the park.

We called to let them know, and they were incredibly accommodating, allowing us to have our full reserved bowling time instead of cutting it short. That level of customer service really made a difference. The staff was friendly, the atmosphere was fun, and it ended up being the perfect way to end our night. We had an absolute blast and really appreciated how understanding and flexible everyone was. We'll definitely be back!

Initially on arrival I thought that the place was super small as you can only see one set of lanes, but shortly we realized there are way more lanes available on the second floor. There was a bit of a wait so we just wandered around the springs and other stores to pass the time. The staff that was on hand was good, but I should note there was a guy on the second floor about to clean a pair of shoes because he couldn't get help. The bowling was fun. The lane was cool. The space seemed a bit closer than I remember at other locations, but I could be wrong. The one thing that really did it for me was the greasy balls. Not just one or two, but you could feel it on all of them. You could tell that folks were eating and playing, but not cleaning their hands. There should be someone on staff just for that role because the grease on the balls took away from the feel of playing.
