First time Playing here. Conditions- 8/10 Tee boxes were the only thing holding back a 10/10. Some of the tee boxes patchy. Greens were just punched but I know if they were not punched these definitely would be hard, fast green! Fairway was very well kept and so were the bunkers. Views- 8/10 Just your typical golf views. Lots of water, you can see birds and turtles a lot, no gators!! You can also see Epic universe from the course which I thought was really cool! Also you can see the big hotel a lot as well. Difficulty- 7/10 I played the blue tees being a 19 handicap. I sometimes had to think on what club to use off the tee box. Lots of water so that will always play a factor. A good amount of bunkers, thankfully I did not go in any but there's always next time. But I say for a Jack Nicklaus company design course it was awesome. Hospitality- 10/10 The bag drop guys were really nice. Got there at 7am so sometimes the guys can still be grumpy but these guys were on it. The Starter was nice as well, letting me know the in and outs of the course for being my first time. After the round the guy offered taking my clubs to my car and offered water as well because it was super humid out. Keep up the good work! Value- 10/10 paid less than $70 to play. I don't know if it was because the greens were just punched but id pay $70 to play again easily. They offer towels, tees, and water in the carts. They have touchscreen gps in the carts. They have bathrooms on the course. Water refill stations on a couple holes. So they definitely make sure the guests are taken care of. Hopefully the summer rates aren't to bad because I will be back! Practice facility- 10/10 Range balls are included in your fees. They have mats and regular grass to hit from. Putting green and chipping area as well. Location- 10/10 Right off of I-4. Also right next to Epic Universe to if you wanna hit up the theme park after your round. Close to downtown Orlando so you can grab a bite after. I like the spot the course was at. Atmosphere- 9/10 The 2 other singles I played with were nice and respectful to the course. Its right next to a hotel so you see some of the workers near the course and they wave and say hi. They had a tournament held there as well that day so if they want to have tournaments theres its a good sign. Good vibes. Food- 9/10 They had a sit down place inside the club house. Did not look at the menu but seemed like its bar food. Cart girls were always coming around with your typical items. But yeah they are options for you while on the course!! read more

I love this place! We've stayed here several times for conferences and it's quite lovely. The atmosphere and amenities are great. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. Access to the restaurants and pools are excellent. Their breakfast brunch is over the top with just about everything you want and more. Staff is pleasant and very accommodating. I must say as a conference center you will definitely get your exercise in.. lol! I consider it a challenge to get my daily steps in order, moving from one area to another! We look forward to staying here whenever we are in the Orlando area. Also very close to shops and restaurants along with walkable sites to see. I highly recommend it. read more

Absolutely gorgeous golf course that is in pristine condition. This Arnold Palmer redesigned course is 18 holes of fun, but challenging golf with a LOT of water hazards to avoid. Great spot for golf. Always show up at least 20 minutes ahead so you can get some practice at the driving range. The course is challenging but fun. There's just the right amount of difficulty with the course (trees, water, length) to make this a great experience. I'm no starch golfer but I played a great game here and definitely recommend it. My only negative comment is regarding the airatted greens. Really a problem while trying to put as the bouncing would greatly impact the ball. There was service on the course and I did purchase water and beer which were priced as expected. The staff all had gloves and masks and most importantly were friendly and helpful. Take a minute or a few hours and tee up. Completely worth your time. read more

Had lunch & golfed at Shingle Creek and loved it. I had the grouper sandwich and it was delicious. One of the best I've had in Orlando. My partner got the prime rib and he really enjoyed that as well. The golf course was challenging but fun and extremely well kept. I am particular about my hotels. Before COVID-19 and especially after, here are my pros and cons! Pros: The ADA-sized room was the best I've stayed in so far as I room to use my chair around the room and in the restroom. I liked and studied in the foyer/entrance, which was good for me as I sat there to hear and see people since the beginning of COVID-19. I enjoyed the hospitable cleaning service staff as they came by every morning to refreshen our bed sheets and bathroom towels and clean the shower. ‼Major cons: (1) ADA parking is far from the hotel entrance, placing you as a second-class citizen if you are disabled. For that reason, three stars. (2) The last night in the shower, I noticed straight hair in the tub--my hair is curly. I was a bit disgusted. read more

I've played here a handful of times the past couple years and the conditions were always good. Range balls are also included with your tee time. Only complaint is that the course doesn't drain too well if it rains too much. The last two times I played were cart path only. The staff from start to finish were all friendly and helpful. read more

This is a beautiful course with a spectacular layout that plays to all skill levels. The conditions of the course the day we played was amazing it is really well maintained definitely play in the morning if you can the pace of play and spacing between groups made for a very enjoyable round our foursome played in under four hours. The Pro Shop is well stocked and there are some deals if you look but be prepared to spend some considerable dough if you go high end the nice logo shirts were about $85 but are of very good quality. The club house was very nice and provide excellent service and a very good selection of food and drinks. I definitely would return here for a few more rounds. read more

Omg omg omggg!!! One of the greatest hotels I've ever visited. The two pools outside with the palm trees and hot tub on another side man freakin awesome. They have a arcade room and they have a store inside of the hotel. They have a bar on the outside and inside. The lil piano room is great as well. There are a lot of things you can do and visit there. A basketball court a volleyball area and a tennis court it's like everything you ever need in a hotel freaking amazing. Greatest stay ever. Even the employees are great that's including the housekeepers.My brother even dared me one time to go to the store in my underwear lol they told me I couldn't come in unless I had my shirt and shorts on lol it was a fun time. Played here on a Wednesday. The course was in excellent shape and the staff was friendly even though they seemed a bit overwhelmed. The starter was not very attentive and seemed like he didn't even want to be there. Even worse is we had to start from number 10 which maybe tells me they were jamming the course full. It took us 5 hours to play 18 while waiting on every shot. When we made the turn there was a long back up which made it worse. Overall a very nicely laid out course with challenging greens. Unfortunately play was extremely slow and less enjoyable than it should have been. I would play here again if the pace of play is fixed. Unfortunately you never know until you show up and start playing. read more

Great course, lot of variation between holes, great shape and lots of tees to fit your game... parking was strange because the convention center was starting to charge, but we didn't have to pay and was a little hassle to get that resolved, but the course and staff were so great it was worth a little inconvenience. read more

Terrible customer service!! I'm actually a Lyft driver and picked up there a few times and any workers outside just stood around and talked! I even asked one of them to help the elderly lady with her luggage into my car and he laughed! A few people have said everyone speaks Spanish there and they don't help if you don't Spanish! read more

Great Track and loved the Taylor Rentals. First cut was a little tough finding the ball sometimes but if it was fluffed up , I had no problem hitting 3W. Make sure you tee off before 8:00 - it gets hot. Will play again next year. read more

Hello Yelpers. This is a beautiful place. Where do I start. This was my weekend getaway for some girl time with my best friend. All I can say is that I was treated like royalty and I will absolutely be coming back. Just lovely!!!!!!! So, when you first walk in the lobby is just gorgeous. It takes your breath away. the checkout process was very easy and Smooth. because it was just a weekend getaway I only had one piece of luggage but they would not even allow for me to take my one piece of luggage to my room they carried it for me. After I got into my room I was brought up complimentary champagne and fruit. We then went to the golf course to play a little golf. Now, I don't know much about golf at all but it was a fun experience. overall this was a wonderful weekend and a great choice for a place to stay. I will absolutely be back!! read more

Best course we played in Orlando 2 years ago, and today it continued to live up the same performance expectations. Course was in great shape, terrific day. The staff was friendly and super supportive throughout the entire day. The grill in between rounds had great food and quickly got us our meals in time to get back out fro our next round. The cart girl came by a number of times and was very friendly and fast. The greens were in great shape and very difficult in a good, challenging way. This was a nice track in Florida. I was there for a conference in January and decided to try it out. The staff was great, very friendly and funny. Not a lot of these guys are - these were enjoying their jobs. The technology in the carts was useful, not having to use my own range finder. The course was in pretty good shape as well. I ate lunch on the course and it was very good, expensive yes, but that is most golf courses. After we finished up, we decided to stay and eat at one of the restaurants and I am glad we did. We ate at the the steakhouse, A Land Remembered. We all has steak with sides. I had the New York Strip with a peppercorn rub, it was perfect, the sides of asparagus and mushrooms were excellent partners with the steak. Ending the day there was great. read more

This was the nicest course I have had the privilege to play in Florida, staff was ultra friendly and informative really helped you out if it's your first time with getting a cart and where you need to go for the range and starter; be careful on your approach shots the grass tends to give you flyer lies and you'll sail the green on what otherwise would have been a solid shot; truly the best place in Orlando imo to test your golf game while having top notch amenities without breaking the bank like Waldorf or Ritz Carlton nearby while providing a better product overall; I'm really hoping I can get a job here because it's everything I expected and then some, I stayed at the connecting resort many times for travel lacrosse and always just was staring at the course even before I started to love golf, it's just stunning especially during a twilight round, the beautiful sun sets just casting orange rays upon perfect fairways and greens, it felt too nice for me to play (I'm a 16 handicap played the blues like the starter suggested and shot a 92, I was expecting a 115 with how fast the greens were, absolutely purest rolling grass in the world, tap it and watching it fly read more

We had an exceptional time at Shingle Creek. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. After substantial rain, the course was cart path only but still played fairly quickly. The course was in great condition considering the rain and recent aeration. The greens weren't fast but there was not much of a sign that aeration had taken place. This resort course really is a nice experience, but I find it hard to go the full 5 stars. The course is great, great range, plenty of staff. The greens were exceptional today - rolling at a consistent 11. I shot 79, which - with the help of a caddie, would have easily been a 74. All three playing partners were put in their place. It's the little things that they miss there. I cut my finger on an old rusty bracket on the water station [why is it still there?], the locker room was not fully stocked ... it just seems like the attention to detail is a little off. But a 5 star facility earns that moniker - Shingle can not deliver on that, yet. I will play here year after year - hoping they work out a few kinks- but all in all a must play. read more

Do not waste your time with this golf course. They have the nerve to charge $165 for a course that is in that bad of condition. This is not what you would expect in a resort course. The tee boxes and fairways were patchy. Greens were shaggy. There excuse is that they are nearly remodeled. Maybe they should have kept it closed a little while longer. Surrounding the sprawling Rosen Shingle Creek hotel, this course offers a firm, but fair, challenge to the weekend golfer. In very good shape, the only real downside here is the price - $100 for a desirable morning tee time. You can shave a few ten-spots off that by playing in the afternoon, but I'm guessing that the course plays a lot slower then due to more people playing. It's all a matter of how much you value your time, I suppose. I'd hate to shove off at 3, get stuck behind slow players, and end up not finishing due to darkness. So, I paid the premium for the best, earliest tee time available, and was rewarded with an excellent, supremely enjoyable round of golf. It's an expansive course, with reasonably wide fairways - go ahead and pull out the driver with confidence. Plenty of water hazards are around, but they are more lateral in nature, with very few forced carries over them. It's possible to hit errant shots into the water, but it's somewhat telling that the likes of me did not find a water hazard even once. Either I was smoking the driver really well, or it's a wide course. Probably a little bit of both. There are about 90 sand traps on this course, though again, astonishingly, I found myself in them only a couple of times. The sand in them is in perfect condition....none of the hardpack I get at my usual local course. No water penalties, few sand traps.....so how did I still fail to break 100? The greens. The putting surfaces, while large, were tabletop-fast and gave me fits. I managed a few good putts, but for the most part, the greens were in my head, especially on intermediate 8-20 foot putts. Distance control was a huge problem, as I found myself running putts 6-7 feet past the hole. That's a great way to three- (or even four-) putt and ruin your score.....and I did so on way too many holes. If I lived in Orlando, this course would be a bit too expensive to play regularly, but for a special treat, I'd say it's worth it every once in a while. read more

Awesome golf course. It's always in good condition. The practice facility is awesome too. The golf shop is huge and really nice. They have all the good, brand name equipment and apparel at competitive prices. The course is challenging but fair and it's always fun to play. Everyone from the head pro to the outside service guys are friendly and will take care of your needs. The cart girls are usually pretty cute too. All in all, this place is as good as it gets. Whether you are visiting the parks with the family, in town for a conference, or just a local weekend warrior, you've got to play this track. It will not disappoint. read more

I assume this course was designed as an "enjoyable" course for the weekend golfer looking to sneak in a round of golf. For that purpose, this course is fantastic for the business foursome looking to drink some beers and relax on a well maintained/pretty course. For the golf fanatic/snob, go elsewhere. There's not one distinct feature of the course and there are no real risk/reward scenarios. The designer seemed to design a course for the ultimate playability. I may not be coming back to this course - but for some of you, being 1/2 mile from the convention center - you might not have any alternative. Tip: If you're thinking about squeezing in a twilight round, be sure to ask if it'll be backed up. Otherwise, ask the starter to start you on the back so you can breeze through the front 9 later in the day. read more
