I can't compliment the Puttshack Boston team ( ESPECIALLY Casey our server, and Derek, one of the management team members) enough. We had a private group event of about 20 people on New Year's Eve, and from the moment we got there Casey was ready to celebrate with us, warmly welcomed us and provided top-tier service, far beyond what I would expect. She helped organize us to our tee times and did a great job making sure we knew what to expect with the flow of the night. Shortly after starting our round a family member had an unexpected medical need that was handled professionally, safely, and as discretely as possible. When we were ready to return to play, we were incorporated back on course seamlessly. Casey was compassionate and helpful throughout, and we had a blast through the ball drop. I would have no hesitation to return to Puttshack either for fun or another group event. Our event was ages 27- 70 and enjoyed by all. They also have a great mocktail menu for those who want a creative drink without alcohol, and the food was excellent. read more

A little on the pricey side for mini golf, but there is a discount for two courses before 4pm I think (it was $54 for 18 holes for 2 people). The courses were fun and it was a good way to get out the rain and kill an hour or two. read more

Kind of fun, but lots of technical errors during our time here with machines and scoring. We ended up holding the line up on 1 hole for 15 minutes. Steve is ok had to search for a guy to help solve our issue no one was at the start of the course like they are when you first get there. read more

Go for the golf, skip the food. Don't overthink it and take it for what it is - indoor mini golf. There are 4 courses in total, each with 9 holes. Each round of 9 goes pretty fast, so consider signing up for 2 rounds. You do not get to choose which course you play, but they are all pretty comparable. Every time I have gone here it has been insanely crowded, so expect that going into it. The courses are compact and jammed into small spaces. There is not a lot of standing room between holes and expect to wait for the group(s) in front of you. Make sure to order a drink before you even start playing. Drink service along the course was spotty. Great the first time we went but non-existent the second time. In general the place is chaos with no one really guiding you along, so you need to pay attention and figure things out for yourself in terms of check-in and play. There is no where along the courses to store coats/bags, so make sure to utilize coat check before you go to your course. I think because it is so compact, it would be a much better experience if children were not permitted. Too crazy and it seems like they are catering to adults here with multiple bars, so there really should be an age limit. Ample public parking available in the same building or 2 garages right across on Autumn. Overall a fun activity for a small group, which you could follow up with dinner at one of the many great restaurants in the Seaport. read more

It's pretty fun for college students who just want to go do something different and get drunk, but I can totally see why anyone above the age of 22 wouldn't like it here. It was VERY crowded with super long lines, so we had to wait maybe 45 mins before beginning the course, then about 10mins between holes too. Felt like we had to rush when we did finally get to putt because of all the people waiting. Very cramped and small, but it beats waiting outside for some boring club and I like mini golf. The staff are super friendly and good at moving people along, but the logistics of this place are not flowing well yet. Loved the Smoking Painkiller drink. That chest and smoke are unnecessary though-- those poor busy bartenders. Figure out logistics and it'll be a great place!! read more

The staff is absolutely amazing but the place is absolutely atrocious. Ive gone to this place twice and both times it has failed me. It doesnt take the score of multiple people in the party and ruins the entire vibe. We wish so badly that it would just take down all of put scores but no matter how many times we would put our balls down it couldnt register the player. We are truly upset with this outcome. It was my best friends birthday and the score was not computing causing for an incomplete score and a ruined birthday party. We are truly upset. We went on Valentine's Day and played 2 rounds of golf and it was a blast! Such a unique course and a great way to spend the evening. Drinks were great but we were underwhelmed by the food. Thai chicken was delicious but the meatball pizza and empanada we couldn't even finish it was flavorless. One of the bartenders here treated me horribly. Not sure of his name but he had a beard and hand tattoos. When I gave him my ID, he turned it over a bunch and bent it. He quizzed me on my birthday. He then told me my ID was illegal. My ID is not illegal. I have a Michigan ID because I just moved here from Michigan. I am 24 years old and have bought drinks all over the country without an issue like this. Sorry you have never been outside the city of Boston and don't know how other IDs from other states look. He stared me down and was really rude to me. He didn't even remember my order and acted like I was bothering him after grilling me and bending my ID. I just wanted one drink to enjoy the night and he really put me in a sour mood to start mini golfing. $18 for 9 holes, not worth the 15 minutes of play time. Super confusing for new customers who don't know where any of the courses are (there are 4 and on two different levels). The staff explaining how everything works and how to play talked so fast and didn't like being interrupted when we were asking questions. And when he did answer our questions, it wasn't helpful. I usually don't leave reviews but i had an interesting experience. My Friends and I came here to have fun after hearing a lot of things about here. The bar service was expected as we waited so long for a drink i lost count of how long we waited , We also waited longer to play than it took us to actually play it was very annoying but for a new place that is the talk of the town it was expected This review would've been 2/2.5 stars but I give the extra stars because of our server;I believe his name was PJ. When we sat at are table , He greeted us with a big smile as if he was happy we were there, made sure to listen to details and answered any questions we had about the menu. We were checked on the perfect amount of times. He even had conversations with us and made us laugh a lot. It honestly was the perfect way to end the night as my friends and I are planning to come back, hopefully we get him as our server again. read more

It's a fun activity to do with friends, even if your as uncoordinated as I am. Each play lasts about an hour and they have a great space for a bite or cocktail. If they start adding cocktail staff to walk through and take drink orders while playing, it would definitely make the brief periods waiting between holes much more pleasant. read more

Enjoyed my time here although my waiter PJ was very rude and condescending, he does not need to be working with people at all! Keep him in the back stocking or something thank Goodness the bartender Paris was very nice and helpful she made me forget how horrible that waiter PJ was and I enjoyed the rest of my time at Puttshack I'd definitely recommend the establishment just loose that horrible waiter PJ. Was told to go to emerald, they didn't have our name either. It's an hour later with no movement. I don't know if it's their bad tech or poor management of courses. What a disaster... went in the winter and the coat check was closed so we had to carry our coats, bags, and drinks while playing. We had to wait in line to start for about 30-45 minutes. There were so many people in line that even waiting for the holes was at least 10 minutes in between. We felt like we had to rush the holes because there were people waiting in a line behind us. The ball's scoring tracker broke for the guy in front of us-- took them about 20 minutes to fix it so we all had to wait behind that hole. Also there's barely any space between the holes so it was super cramped and hot. The pictures made it seem like a large course with tons of fun light up stuff and unique hole designs. In reality, the course is very small and there's only 3-4 unique hole designs with the fun photo worthy styles. I was super disappointed in this experience for the price and what was promised. We had a party of 6 and ordered a lot of food and drinks but had tons of dirty plates left between courses. No bussers around but I saw lots of "waiters" walking by with seemingly nothing to do yet our waiter was not around enough to fill our drink orders. I literally had to take a cart by the bar (we were seated in the back by the bar) and bus our own table. We had an hour when we finished eating before our tee time but by the time we got our dessert order in and finished, we were being called. Waiter nowhere to be seen and I was going to leave to go putt and leave the waiter to track me down. Oh also when we needed plates to share dessert? Had to pull a random employee aside to get some plates. Worst service ever. You should be embarrassed and ashamed to run this establishment. Now I find out I'm locked into an automatic 18% tip because of our group size. Was going to leave 12% because of the pathetic service. I feel you owe me 6%, where should I send the invoice? this place sucks, we got here for a 1:10 reservation on time, immediately there was no coat check you could only pick up your coat if your were one of the lucky ppl to get there before 1pm apparently. we spent more time waiting and line than actually even playing and the ball dispenser ran out of balls halfway through so we had to wait in line even longer. my friend accidentally hit her ball out of bounds but it rolled back in and then it decided that the ball didn't work anymore so one of the employees had to get a new ball, but they didn't have any extra so they had to go all the way back to a different course and get her a new one. The lines were fucking so long literally don't go here, like today was my birthday and i had the worst experience ever i never leave reviews but i had to tell the people the ass cheeks that this place truly is, on god. if i wanted to experience hell on earth i would come to puttshack. also we were really hungry from waiting so long and then my friend was late for her coworkers baby shower because of putt shack. the music was the only reason i gave it a one star, it was ok sometimes. the ball dispenser system is so flawed it was making me fucking angry, like just have a bucket for ppl to put it in don't make it that much harder on the employees. the balls are supposed to come straight up vertically from the place they collect after you finish your 9th hole, but the track it's supposed to flow down goes uphill???? for some reason??? so they kept getting stuck in the track and the poor employees who were working the ball dispensing station kept having to troubleshoot the problem of them getting stuck, the sapphire hole is barely any different than the ruby one which is such a waste and disappointment, like why bother wasting another whole hour and a half waiting in line to go through the same course with slightly different decorations. boring. the only minor upside was the fact that we waited so long in line for the sapphire course that there wasn't anyone in front of us (also because they literally ran out of balls, but i already said how dumb that was) I wouldn't be surprised if this place raised the cortisol levels of my blood. i'll send them my medical bills i'm over it. xoxo :( read more

The atmosphere is nice, good clear facility. We arrived a few minutes early to grab drinks. The bartender was scattered and couldn't stay focused. Took him ten minutes to get my espresso martini and my boyfriends beer because he was taking other orders at the same time. he also did not follow the recipe that was on the menu ( put in baileys when the menu did not say it has it). the woman next to me must have waited 20+ minutes for her 2 cocktails because of his constant distraction. We were assigned the ruby course which was PACKED with people on top of each other waiting for the group in front of them to finish with the hole. the space between holes is very small, way too much volume for the space. when we approached the part to check in, and get the ball and putter i kindly asked the attendant why this course was packed and the one across the room barely had anyone else in it. he said we could switch courses if we wanted, and i am so happy we did. overall it was a fun experience but definitely not worth $50/ person plus drink costs. read more
