The warmth of the soft seating, the greenery, the artwork, the furniture pieces as well as the abundant smiles and expertise of Ms. Moll and Ms. Kathryn Castleberry have added the sorely needed welcoming elements to the Wagner House, which, in recent history, have been missing. There is a palpable difference to the venue that is hard not to notice! It feels "alive"! I am quite sure that Corydon and Eulalie Wagner's souls, as well as Judy and Corydon Jr.'s, are also thrilled that Corydon Jr.'s childhood home and Eulalie's gorgeous gardens, have newfound personality and appreciation from all the many guests that grace the venues halls and enjoy the spectacular grounds. In our contract/set up plan, they had written 250 chairs and stated they would be able to fit 10 guest per table, and that I could bring the banquet permit the day of the reception. 2 days before the wedding, they call me stating that they cannot fit 10 guests per table and that they could not have 250 guests in the venue. They also needed the banquet permit at least a week in advance. They were extremely rude over the phone and in person. Only provided 230 chairs, not the 250 they promised us. And continued to state that "i don't know who is telling you this information about the guest count and what not but that's not how we do it" . They never apologized for the inconvenience or anything. I explained we would have never booked with them if they could not do 250 guests. But they kept raising their voice repeating the same thing "I don't know what to tell you. That's not how we run things" . I would NEVER recommend this place. Ever. To anyone. As a daughter of a retired vet, it disappoints me that they would treat customers the way they treated me and my family the day of my wedding date. But since I have to have 1 star, I give it to the worker, Joe. He was the ONLY person who would help us get things done. Management was awful. But joe was awesome. Thank you Joe.

I worked with Arts…read moreAlive to host an art reception, and was so pleased by the moment I stepped into this quaint, community gallery. Staff is absolutely kind, friendly and caring. They went above and beyond my expectations, to ensure that the event went smoothly! They are happy to help all customers and always greet you as soon as you walk into the door. Arts Alive is funded through 4Culture, which provides local access to the arts for smaller communities in King County. With that said, volunteers are greatly needed and it's very touching to see the rotation of different volunteers who work a certain amount of shifts, as if they were employees at the gallery. They help display the art, complete transactions, teach classes and discuss artwork and even get the opportunity to showcase their own! The gallery is split in two parts, with the front room being primarily the show room where art can be purchased. The back room, which is also has a back entrance is where art classes are taught, and has a small kitchen for such. I encourage anyone visiting Enumclaw or if already in the area to take a gander at Arts Alive, as you may find a piece of artwork to bring home (all mediums represented here) or even sign up for a class. This is an awesome and much-needed arts gallery in Enumclaw!
