A friend who volunteered at St. Francis House told me about them, and how they help all. And as I understand they don't charge the neediest.

Only thing is they literally wait till 11 am sharp to open doors which could be a tiny problem the fact that services are needed much earlier now nd days . The housing director is such a sweetheart . They are very attentive to the help needed in the community . Just be mindful on your WANTS and NEEDS. We are living in trying times . We are all human at the end of the day . Seems to me respect is shown both ways as of 2025 .

They STILL haven't released my money and didn't care that I was going to be evicted. They do NOT answer their phone, I would call and I left several messages, and didn't get a phone call back. I have since became my own rep. Share and Care is not reliable company. I wouldn't recommend Share and Care to anyone. If I could I would give them a rating of minus 5 stars. One month I had to call Share and Care to see when I was getting my check, it was already the middle of the month. No apology for not cutting me a check. I did finally receive my bi weekly check. Their customer service nonexistent. After leaving I found out they have other services I could have used, but they never told me about them. They are dishonest and continue to give me the run around, they still owe me $1650 and have not released the money to me. They charged me for services they did not provide. Social security is still referring people to Share and Care, where there don't share or care.

I've been to several shelters in the past year to adopt and it's been up and down. I went here on a Saturday after work and brought home my fur ever baby girl. I'm a proud happy fur mom . This is the happiest day of my life . I cried so many tears of joy when I was able to adopt my new female dog. I named her Sasha. Previously known as Oldsmobile. Sasha is the absolute sweetest girl ever. Sasha is what my heart needed. As a puppy she is very smart. Introducing to crate has been fairly well. Eating wow this girl can eat, run, do sprints around the house, yard and is super excited. I am too lol. Potty training is going very well in the morning she wakes me up with kisses to say she has to go and stands by door we go out. We have a routine. Totally recommend Homeward Per adoption to everyone. You will never be disappointed. The accept donations from you if your pet has passed away, been surrendered or you just want to donate, food, toys, supplies for dogs and cats. Well, I could continue to give praises all day. Gotta go mommy duty is calling.

I've had multiple interactions over a couple of years at this food bank where communication with a…read moreparticular staff member made the experience difficult and uncomfortable. Most recently, my wife called to reschedule an appointment. During the call, she was given instructions very quickly in a way that was hard to follow. When she asked clarifying questions, the tone became noticeably impatient and dismissive, including repeated condescending laughter. The interaction left her feeling embarrassed rather than helped. This isn't an isolated experience. On several past visits and calls, we've encountered similar behavior -- condescending tone, impatience when asking questions, and communication that felt more confusing than helpful. I also had one in-person interaction while updating our information that followed the same pattern. Because of these repeated experiences, we've even taken breaks from using the service in the past. The food bank itself provides an important service, but consistency in respectful communication from staff really matters when people are already in a vulnerable situation. My man, if interacting with the general public irritates you THIS MUCH, you are in the wrong line of work.

I had my baby grandson in the seat in the grocery cart. One of the ladies working there said I was taking too long as I was near the end going to pick out my 3 choices for bread. She grabbed my cart at that point said I was done and pulled me holding on to the cart so worried for my grandson's life. He was still in the cart. She rammed the cart against the exit because it is a hard turn to push the cart out the door. Normally I would have let go but I thought she was going to pull the cart over with my one-year-old grandson in it. It has been over 5 months didn't go back even when we were in need Just trying to make the churches, and Good Roots work for us. Just want to make sure my story is heard in case there have been other incidents.
