California Solar and Electric. CS&E is simply the best. Call Mark Howe. Honest, reliable,…read moreprofessional, skilled and highly competitive. Best warranty and quality materials and labor. 949 637-9108. They are out of Santa Clarita. We are so happy and satisfied with our system and our bills have gone from $300 plus a month to less than $40 a month. Also when the power has gone out in our neighborhood the battery backup has saved the day. Stellar value, workmanship, professionalism and service plus a 25 year warranty. Highly recommended

Within an hour of posting my initial review regarding a delayed referral bonus, the owner…read morepersonally reached out, apologized for the administrative oversight, and sent the $500 immediately. I really appreciate the direct accountability and quick resolution. I'm leaving my original review below for transparency, but their prompt response today restored my confidence in their management. I originally had a positive experience with California Solar Electric during my 10.12 kW solar and Powerwall 3 installation last year. Unfortunately, their post-install customer support and business ethics are nonexistent. I referred a friend who completed their installation months ago. I was explicitly promised a $500 referral bonus for this. After months of waiting, I tried following up multiple times privately to give them a chance to make it right, but I am now being completely ignored. It's a shame because I have several neighbors here in Fountain Valley who are currently shopping around for solar and battery storage. I was planning to refer them here, but I cannot recommend a company that fails to honor its own written agreements and ducks communication. Buyer beware: the installation team does good work, but do not trust a word management says about referral incentives or post-sale promises. Still waiting for my $500.

upd5. Because I feel a big pressure from the church leaders to remove this review, I would like to…read morelaunch a some portion of my report: ** 1.According to the records of the California Secretary of State, the corporation was established in 2014 (registration date 23 June 2014, #C3687965,). Hence, they are new on the market and do not have sufficient experience, which contradicts the oral presentation of Senior Pastor and Redeveloper at the Special Congregational Meeting and some websites (SunPower.com) which mention almost 20 years of the company's experience. Based on the inaccurate information the congregation approved this contractor with a simple majority voting at the meeting. The author of this memo opposed the proposal using his rightful vote in the open voting, but he was not a member of the Council Church at that time. Definitely, the contractor was inaccurately evaluated. 2.A year before the registration of the new company, a company with a similar name existed at the same mailing address Solar Forward Electric, LLC (# 200700610305). The registered CEO of Solar Forward Electric, LLC (inactive, 01/02/2007-07/03/2013) and Solar Forward Electric, Inc (06/23/2014 now) was the same person. One year gap between closing the LLC and opening a new business entity with a similar title suggests financial difficulties under the management of the CEO. There is no public information to verify the assumption. 3.Meanwhile, public records reveal that the CEO of Solar Forward Electric, Inc and Due North Productions Inc. (# C2646169, TV News Production Business) is the same person Mark Hilton Smith. Both companies are registered at the same address (2204 EUCLID ST SANTA MONICA CA 90405) and the websites of the companies give the same phone number of the CEO. Running two different businesses on unrelated market (energy and media) gives grounds to doubt the efficiency of the management. 4.The Contractors State License Board database contains records about Solar Forward Electric, Inc (lic # 994683). Their license was issued a month after the registration in July 15, 2014 and expires on July 31, 2020. However, their warranty given in the proposal exceeds their license period, which creates another risk of cooperating with the company. 5.Solar Forward Inc is not certified by the NABCEP®. EnergySage.com claims Solar Forward, Inc has NABCEP certification, but the company is not included in the NABCEP list of certified Californian companies. This contradiction gives the company low credibility and gives doubts about the quality of its work in comparison with the contractors and companies which passed the NABCEP certification near Hemet. 6.The information on the electric bills kept in the Church office contradicts the report presented in the Company's proposal dated May 15, 2017. The benefits from the solar project and saving plans seem to be disputable and need a comprehensive review. The bills for the recent months show that the solar saving system has not met the projected figures. 7.The company does not have a well-established system to handle appeals, complaints and customer service support. For example, in 4 years of being on the market they only have had one review on Google. A 1-star review on Yelp had an aggressive response and the author was asked to remove the review. The pressure on the reviewers and the CEO's response undermines the integrity of the company and the solar industry. 8.I can conclude that they do not follow the Code of Ethics of CALSSA, of which they members. ** upd4. being a local guide on Google (level 6, 1500 points), I realized Yelp is a more powerful review tool. Bravo, Yelp! Good for yelp.com. After my 1 star review on yelp this company has started to react on the problem. because I was asked to remove 1 star, I am diligently raising only 1 star more until the problem is resolved. upd3. never again. everybody, please, be careful with this company. their proposal worked with fake data to promote their service among the congregation. the current data in the church meters and their proposed data are mismatched. I did aware my congregation about doubts in this project. It looks like the contract with them proceeded with conflict of interests, because it was aggressive marketing to promote this contractor. yelp feud shows how awful their customer service is. keep on mind their promoted solar benefits failed. as a Council member I will continue my investigation of wasting Congregational General Fund money to work with this company. upd2. CEO of this company has called me and threaten that my review on yelp.com is illegal. it is absurd. upd. finally, they contacted me and became more cooperative. they promise to review our bills and discover how it is possible to have increased $ bills with decreased usage kWh. It is so strange and doesn't make sense at all. After their installation our electricity bills have been increased. All attempts to get explanation via phone failed. They don't answer.
