Titleist and TaylorMade were running a promotion of buy 3 and the fourth would be free. I asked the clerk if it was still active. He said yes, but only if I order online. They then would have to pull it from stock and stack it on will call rack. Asked, since I am here now, can I pull it and he ring it. Said was against store policy. Asked if he could check with manager, he did and manager refused to change policy. He was apologetic, but didn't want to lose his job. This was not an outlandish ask, the store wasn't busy and required no effort from the staff. They watched $400 walk out the door. Their management is dumb as rocks. Went to Golf Galaxy and they had no problem with the 3 for 1 at the counter. Will address with corporate as we really want to shop here but not with current management team that is not customer centric.

There is only a few places to get your grips done in this city and it's not going to happen in an hour. Plus the likelihood of it being done the right way are not great. Fed was at my house in 15 mins and had my grip on in 10. He had top of the line tools and equipment in his spaciousness truck to get the old grip off and the new one on perfectly. To be fair, it's entirely possible that my relatively lukewarm feelings about Deep Cliff Golf…read moreCourse has more to do with having the wrong expectations than the experience itself. It's just that, given how this place is in Cupertino, which I've always been quite fond of, I guess I just thought this course would stand out when, in hindsight, it's probably perfectly fine for what it is. Compared to some of the other courses my friends and I have played around the Bay Area, Deep Cliff is rather unique in its own way. As an executive course, made up entirely of par-3's and par-4's, the full 18 isn't particularly lengthy, which is great for beginners and/or anyone trying to get in a quick round. Yet, while it plays pretty fair for the most part, it still offers some challenges, with the creek/water hazards appearing on several holes, prominent bunkers fronting several holes (especially on the 18th), numerous tree lined fairways that create a narrow feel, and areas that are a bit more wooded, especially along the edge that runs next to an open green space. Despite how some of Deep Cliff's unique features are largely positive, they can cut the other way, too. For example, while all of those trees create some much appreciated shade when it's warm and sunny, those wooded areas are also home to wildlife that will occasionally wander onto the course. Awesome to see, but it can lead to some (understandable) pauses in play as you wait for the deer and the like to clear out. Thankfully, that didn't happen to us and we were here on a weekday, so our pace of play was still pretty steady. However, between that and how short some of the holes are, I can see the course getting bogged down on weekends when there are that many more folks around. As for everything else Deep Cliff has to offer, their facilities and amenities are decent enough. Our cart was serviceable and clean, the pro shop was fine, and their onsite restaurant looked like a nice spot to grab a post-round beer. That said, certain aspects could've been better. At a couple of points, it didn't feel intuitive as to where we should go (the worker at the desk gave us some confusing directions for where the first tee box was) and, most notably, the driving "range" was more like a bunch of netting that you hit into (I know they're limited on space, but still). All in all, even though I'm only giving three stars, I actually think Deep Cliff's three and a half star average is more accurate. It's a solid option for anyone just getting started, as well as more experienced golfers looking to work on their irons or short game, and their rates aren't too shabby. Since it's a bit of a drive from us, though, coming back would be more for a change of pace than as part of our rotation. However, I'm sure we'll be back down the line...and when we do, it'll be with a more appropriate set of expectations that just might lead to an improved review! Until then, THREE AND A HALF STARS rounded down for now.

Three main things when I think of Los Lagos: 1. A local fox…read morepopulation. You may see them running around and hanging out on the greens, especially during the early morning. 2. Odd layout with a lot of back and forth between holes. Total yardage is only around 5000-5400 due to 9 par 3s (par 68 course), but long par 5s and distances between a couple of holes make the course deceptively long especially if walking. 3. The local homeless population. Coyote Creek Trail runs through the course and you may see some homeless + their dogs walking along the cart paths adjacent to the creek. I've never had a problem, but one may want to be aware if leaving golf carts unattended. Has a two-tier driving range with range buckets priced similarly to other driving ranges around San Jose, with TopTracer being installed within the past couple of years. Conditions are fair for a muni course. Water features make things interesting. Holes 4, 6, 9, and 18 offer challenges and are my favorites. Pace of play is usually good on the weekdays (3-3.5 hr). Definitely worth playing if you can find a GolfNow deal or twilight. Staff has always been friendly.

He was a super friendly guy and he helped us take care of my son's gloves. They have a wide selection of laces to choose from. My son liked the selection of new gloves, bats and other equipment to look at. After we picked out the laces and was paying for the glove services, Brandon asked my son if he wanted to try the new hitrax cages. My son jumped in and had a great time. The machines are new and they have great demo bats to swing. There are places to sit and watch while the players swing and a tv to watch any baseball games. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Picking up our gloves was easy as well. They even had the gloves done in a couple days. We will definitely be back and will let my son's friends and teammates know about Charlie Rose. Mike was a huge help. Despite lack of knowledge, he helped me get the right ball for me. After using my free game pass, I immediately hit two turkeys for a game of 161. Not bad for my first personal ball. I recommended this place 100%!
