I think this is the best pizza I have ever had!! They import the flour and tomatoes. The crust was absolutely delicious the sauce was amazing and the toppings were perfection. I would highly recommend. The staff was so friendly. It was national pizza day and the 2 ladies working were not only on top of the restaurant orders but the to go orders as well. The staff knocked it out of the park on a very busy evening. I can't wait to come back and try more pizzas. read more

The Pizza is amazingly good, however for having a supposed cook time of 5 minutes you can usually find yourself waiting 40 minutes to get your food. Toppings are very scarce for the money so a bit over priced. Beer selection is limited and good luck getting a nice coke to go with your meal. They serve the crappy Pepsi products.... yuck. read more

We really enjoyed our pizza! Definitely a wonderful new addition to Norwalk. The staff were all very nice!! The cheese was the good stringy kind and you could tell it was high quality cheese. The crust and sauce were also very good. However, the crust was a bit burnt. Please cook it a little less so the crusts outer edge is not black. We will definitely be back! Great pizza and friendly staff. Have been there several times before the Covid 19 stuff that shut everything down. Thankfully they stayed open for carry out. Pizza and onion rings are our go to. Shrimp pizza is great. One of our other favorites is The Hawk or we just build our own. Nice local pizzeria. read more

Located in the old hardware store, Pyra Pizzeria is a comfortable place to have a pizza. The place is tastefully decorated utilizing the existing building. I ordered a pizza with sausage and mushroom. It was ready in slightly less than 30 minutes on a Wednesday night. The pizza was correctly cooked with bubbled crust and about 12 inches round. I think it's Graziano sausage and the shrooms are not the canned variety. The place offers a fair amount of beers on taps and isn't exclusively pizza. So what's the deal? My pizza came to $15.52 all in and I carried out. Appetizer plus 2 pizzas and 1 beer per person plus tip you are probably at $50. read more

If you like Neapolitan style pizza, this is the place for you. Thin crust with carefully chosen toppings and a nice, puffy edge. Beautiful!

Tried over the lunch hour and was surprised to see the lack of patrons, especially when staff was of at least 5 persons. Ordered a pair of pizzas with both great though the house special Pyra pizza was the best minus the olives. Crust is slight chewy and very tasty. Service varied with a quick greet and follow up for order though then didn't see anyone except 3-5 persons behind the counter with only 1 making the pizzas. Both pizzas took about 20-25 minutes to be completed though were the only ones being made with none in front. Pizzas are a bit pricy for a smaller town location and more in line as would see downtown Des Moines. Hopefully the owner considers reasons for the pricing taking into account staffing needs based on customer counts, and makes necessary adjustments, as would like to see this pizzeria succeed. read more

By the reviews I was expecting much more and better pizza. Service was great but the pizzas are not only small but they really skimp on the toppings. We spent a lot of money and went away feeling like we paid at least twice as much as we should have. I would compare the pizza to Little Cesar's but smaller and much more expensive. I hope they improve on the food quantity and quality because the place is cute and service was great. read more

I've come here several times, although I only ate in once, pre-COVID. Otherwise, I've ordered take-out. The wait is never too long, the staff is always great, and the pizza is always soo good! It's a nice shop and they've done a nice job renovating it from the old hardware store into this pizzeria. I love having this place here in Norwalk! read more

Excellent Pizza made with premium imported and locally sourced ingredients. We ordered the margherit and Hawk Pizza. Both came out perfect and our 4 yr old daughter, who is a picky eater, gave it a big thumbs up. Place was busy but our wait was only 15 minutes for a table. Brick Pizza oven looks awsome and we liked the old hardware store signage. They even had our favorite beers on tap . We will be back soon. Thanks. read more

Great environment and spot-on wood-fired oven pizza. Good overall menu. Only knock is with one oven, pizzas take awhile. Went there on a Tuesday at 5:30. Only four other tables in the place, but took 45 minutes to get our pizza. I make a pizza from scratch at home that takes about that long. I can't imagine the wait on a Saturday night... read more
