After my furnace suddenly stopped working, I called 5 heating contractors requesting quotes. 1 company never returned my calls, and of the 4 others, Pryo got my business because of the professionalism and the time all members of their staff took to make sure I understood the options and was comfortable with my purchase. Dave (one of the owners of Pyro) came out to quote the new system. Dave was very thorough and part of his visit included measuring the rooms and counting windows to make sure my system was sized correctly for my house. Turns out, the original installed unit was over-sized for the house and duct work. Dave then explained his recommendation, including accessories to improve air quality and comfort. Having done research in the past, I was aware of some of the topics, but Dave brought up several points I wasn't aware of and was able to explain them clearly. On install day, Mike and Rusty arrived within the scheduled time on a day when the road were very icy. Both were professional and courteous from the moment they put down protective plastic on the floor until they removed it when the job was complete. They were very helpful answering my questions and explaining new features on my new equipment. They went the extra mile by looking at another piece of equipment that I thought was functioning normally, but had a question about. They were able to show me visual evidence that there was a problem, and the unit should be replaced. Something that my previous HVAC company had not done in their annual maintenance. They took pride in their workmanship, to the point of re-routing the gas line to create a visually more appealing clear path around the equipment and routing the drain line in a way that connected existing equipment to the new equipment in a cleaner, less cluttered way. Our a/c system wasn't working properly so we called Pyro. Kevin was the first one on the job and diagnosed our problem. Turns out we really needed a whole new a/c and heating unit. Kevin quickly had Matt come to the house (same day) for an evaluation and provided us with quite a few system options. Matt was very through and explained everything we needed to know. We decided upon the unit we wanted and we were scheduled for our two day installation within a week. Installation day came and we had the "A" team-Anthony and Andrew. Both were super polite and extremely knowledgeable. The hubby asks lots of questions and is pretty particular in anything which is done to our home. The guys were happy to answer every question and did an exceptional job during the two day installation. Andrew was one of the technicians that installed a new furnace, a/c unit and tank-less water heater in our home. To say it was a large job is really an understatement - we purchased an older home that had two furnaces that we had removed and replaced with one and a three-zone system. A large and complex job. We had a very professional senior service technician, Mitch McIntosh, from Pyro Heating/Cooling come out yesterday to perform our annual maintenance checkup on out A/C system. Even though he informed us that because of the age of our system, we are now living "on borrowed time", we were quite appreciative of learning what our options now are toward looking at a replacement unit. Mitch informed us that we had been using the wrong furnace filter, which was costing us wasted money on not only the more expensive filters, but also by making the system less energy efficient we were spending more money on our electric bill each month. Mitch's thorough explanation of how to protect my outside compressor unit from potential ice damage was most appreciated as well. Chris Romanowski I had Pyro out for a Furnace fall maintance check up and a problem we were having with our furnace. Rick Boitos efficiently took care of the maintance for our furnace. He did not have the part he needed to fix our furnace problem so he immediately called for a part to be sent to the house and he was able to take care of the problem the same day as our appointment. He also informed us that our complete care would cover all costs. This complete care warranty was money well spent. He also informed us that when this warrany is up to look into other warranties that Pyro has to offer for its customers. I've used Pyro for years. They've always treated me with respect, always been on time and have taken great care of me and my equipment. We had them install a heat pump for us last year and were amazed at how much money we saved on our propane usage. Our salesman was courteous he took the time to walk through and explain everything that Pyro would be doing for us. The whole process took approximately 2 hours from the start when the salesman got there until he left. Jon was very friendly & informative. He represented Pyro with professionalism. We had Pyro out to repair a leak from our furnace. He accurately assessed where the leak was coming from, which was a clog in the drain line for our air conditioner. In addition, he inspected the drip pan to make sure it wasn't cracked, and also checked the furnace's control panel & blower unit to make sure water hadn't leaked into those areas. He explained what he was doing & gave pointers on how to assess & fix the problem if we get another clog in the future. read more

Good job. Appeared to be very knowledgeable. No hard sell about replacing parts that in the future may fail and damage air conditioning unit. Generally, if it ain't broke don't fix it, but in our case if we can buy a couple of more years with our old unit, all the more better.
