Initially when appointment was made I requested an update to my file from 10 years ago. Day of, the tax person had my drivers license, and all documentation with correct name. She did not question why name populated from their system was different than all my current information and I did not receive a final review before printing and submitting to discover the discrepancy. Contacted office and given customer service number to call. Customer service "escalated', wait for a call 3-5 business days. No call, called again two more times. 3 weeks, Finally got a call from a supervisor, admitted fault and offered a partial refund by check in mail. 1 month nothing received. Called again, no notes in file or completion update in system and no call back. 3 months later still no refund. They just flat out lie. This company has been around a long time, and their business practices and terrible customer service will catch up their demise.

My calif state taxes were returned for an error. which took them a couple of weeks to figure the error and fix it. For the sale of my home, Thier computer said not to file forms 8949 and schedule D that needed to show I didn't owe taxes on the sale of my home and were not electronically filed with my return by H&R Block I received a notice from the IRS on 11/28/2020 stating I owed $226000 for my 2018 Tax year. I called Queen Creek H&R Block which their office was closed and would not be open. I went to a CPA and paid $150 to redo the forms needed to show I didn't owe the taxes and mailed hem to the IRS. On April 5th of 2021 I received a notice of Deficiency from the IRS stating that I had to file an appeal with the US Tax Court I Called H&R Block Having paid them $379 to do my taxes for 2018 filing. I spoke with a woman at H&R Block and her advice was give it more time. NO I had to hire a Tax attorney and pay him $5000 dollars to handle the appeal to the US tax court. I finally had closure in sept of 2021 not owing any money to the IRS. So it cost me $5150 Because I Went to Queen Creek H&R Block and had Mary as a representative. Don't do it
