Also, she is a very kind and beautiful person which made my experience so much better. I ended up with a pedicure and a manicure and I felt like a beautiful woman again. It was a very, very nice afternoon. and to top all that off when I was about to leave another, customer jumped in and paid my bill. Her mom is going through the same battle, and she was moved to do a beautiful thing for me. Tears of happiness and joy abound.

She did no cuticle prep at all, she didn't clean up the excess chrome on the side of my fingers, and there was a ridiculous amount of gel left under my nails. There was so much gel that when I got home I used my nail drill to take off the bulk of it. They also started lifting after less than a week and fell off within 10 days. There were also deep grooves in my nail beds aka rings of fire. For paying $70 + tip for a service I expect it to feel like a $70 service and it did not. Really disappointed, won't be going back.

One week later - the gel is peeling off of every single one of my nails. Gel manicures last THREE WEEKS at my usual place - no chipping, no lifting. Since I am 15 hours away from home on vacation, I called and requested a refund because I had to spend another $30+ to get my nails re-done while I'm here. The guy who answered the phone told me no, and that I could come in and get them fixed. I told him that's not possible because I'm five states away and I need to get them fixed right away, to avoid any fungus growing between the lifting gel and my actual nail. I always got bad vibes from Lynn, the female owner who always brewed with contempt, but I still gave them a try upon learning of Emily's departure. The pleasant husband did my fill and said that his wife, Lynn, would do my design to which she angrily said something in another language. So it was obvious that she, for whatever reason, didn't want to do my nails. When it was time to do my design, the negative energy was palpable. She spoke to me curtly and appeared to rush doing my style. The design did not come out as desired, and I requested a modification that she was unable to accommodate, so I requested she remove the polish. Then what was simmering at the surface actualized in an unprofessional indignant manner, so I said I would pay for what they did but I would not tolerate this aggressive behavior. She even went as far as to slam her hand on the gel dryer...unprofessional and unsafe. This is a na l salon, so nothing warrants this level of anger. No top coat, and an unfinished design...all she said was "you always do this" which is simply untrue because I have done the same style for 9 months...but if this was the case:..why not do one nail and show me? To be honest, something ugly lies beneath Lynn's persistently negative attitude and sheer disregard for my regular patronage and generous tipping.
