This place sucks. I came in for a gel polish change. I had nice long nails (for the first time in…read moremy life - my nails don't grow well) and I just wanted light shaping and a polish change. The guy ( who didn't speak English) used a very course emery board and sawed the first two nails down to the quick despite two interventions saying I didn't want them short. I told him to stop and they brought in someone else, who kept trying to make re-shape my nails to make them look like daggers. These people don't know what the hell they are doing. I finally told them to just charge me for a gel polish removal and just STOP. Horrible experience and my nails look like hell because they cannot file straight (they file with one side of your nail longer than the other so that it looks like Gumby's head). Ugh. I will not be back.

I think this will be my new nail salon. My previous salon would have you waiting a very long time even with an appointment. Plus after one week I would always have an issue with at least one nail. Not this week. Thanks to Ann. My only complaint is there are not an abundance of nail color choices. The pedicure chairs looked nice. I will also try those soon. My friend and I enjoyed a lovely Sunday at the Conrad Spa. We were prompted greeted by Tina and shown around the spa and to our lockers. In the ladies locker room area, there are showers, a sauna, and a steam room. We got there early so we could enjoy the pool and other amenities. Unfortunately, when we arrived there were hotel guests in the pool, including children. That's not all that conducive to relaxing unfortunately so we didn't get in the water at all. Tina also helped us order a lovely lunch from Capitol Grill and took overall very good care of us while we relaxed and waited for our spa appointments. The services: Both of us had nice services but honestly both felt we had had better for various reasons. My esthetician was good and did a very nice job but I had added on a leg scrub. The leg scrub was great but it came At the sacrifice of the hand and wrist massage you might typically get. My friend's service was good but was slow to start and the provider had some clumsiness issues and dropped items on the floor creating loud noises. The only thing that was really "bad" was the temperature of the atrium area/pool and hot tub area. It was HOT in there. It was so warm in there that we just couldn't force ourselves in the hot tub or the sauna/steam room. Tips: 1. there is street parking, which is free on Sundays 2. When you walk in, go closer to the check in desk to the second set of elevators and the spa is on the 6th floor 3. There is cold water and some cold towels in the Gym on the same floor.

Turns out, the salon I went to previously used MMA on my nails, which is an illegal cheap cancer-causing chemical that destroys your natural nail. Sarah went out of her way to remove the MMA as carefully as possible, and manicured my nails to look healthier than ever before (see picture #1). The gel extensions were applied so carefully and in such detail, they are almost too perfect-looking! I asked for plain white with a cute chrome layer on top (see picture #2). She also is capable of doing INCREDIBLE designs -- probably some of the best designs I have EVER seen on nails. Unsure if I can add Instagram on reviews, but look up @s.eliana23! I said to her, I will go across the street and purchase regular nail polish because I don't want to deal with the jail. I'm old school and if it's not broke, I don't fix it. She then magically comes up with regular nail polish, which she picked from a wall. There were no samples of pinks for me to choose from. She looked at the pink on my toes and try to match it. The pink was off by a few shades. No lining for the foot tub no toe separators so the polish of one toe kept sticking into my other toe. She put me under three different lights put on 56 different coats of polish now I've been getting my toes done for a while and this doesn't seem like regular nail polish Time to go ready to pay I asked what's my total she said $35 I said for a polish change that sound like gel prices. The owner then chime in and says no it's not. I know what you mean about the gel I don't like gel either. Faker than a $3 bill. That's probably not license, but I will call the state cosmetology board and check into it..
