I went in for a pedicure and was pleased enough especially since it was scheduled last minute. The pedicure chairs are nice and functioned properly (which doesn't always happen in nail salons). I liked the music playing and it wasn't too loud - good vibe for the time of day. I left with my toenails looking good. Here are just a couple of little things that I get annoyed by. I now have gotten into the habit of bringing my own bottle of polish to the salons because I do not like having to choose a polish color from the nail color rings. Half the time, the color that I think I'm choosing is not the color that gets put on my toes. In the winter/spring months, I don't really care too much because my toes aren't out. I like salons where I pick the bottle with the color. So if that matters to you, then know this going in (also, I didn't see any OPI colors). One other thing, don't get the pedicure that has everything and supposedly adds 10 more minutes of massage. My massage wasn't any longer than the 2 other girls next me and they asked for the regular pedicure. Don't spend the money. Just get the standard pedicure. read more

I live near this salon and have been a few times in the past for pedicures. It is not consistent but it's an ok alternative if your regular tech is booked and busy. It's a super cute shop, well decorated and clean. They have a lot of techs and needed them because of the prom traffic on this particular day. However, I made an appointment and still had to wait about 15-20 mins before service started. I am not a big fan of waiting when I make appointments, but again, I was desperate. I received a full set with dipping powder and I wanted gel polish. It ended up being $15 more for the powder and I thought he stated $5 extra. I ended up with basic pink nails for $70 once I added a tip. Btw, this is not the spot if you are looking for cool nail art or designs. Will I be back? Maybe. However, only in a crunch. read more

PLEASE LOOK AT MY PHOTO I had a brand new full set done. in less than a week my nails were loose & wiggly. I could tell at any moment they could pop off when handling things. I have NEVER had salon quality nails pop off like press ons. Normally they are so hard to get off without soaking them that if you do manage to get them off, they come off in bits & pieces. NOPE not from LuXe Nails. All but a couple popped off whole, like I had just put press on kiss nails that I bought from CVS. I cannot believe I spent $40 on press on nails that lasted me a week. I really hate to leave negative reviews, but this was such a disappointment. I had finally convinced my mom and sister to stray from their normal place, convincing them I could find better, and I was embarrassed that this is what I found. I will start with the positives. It's in a strip, so there is ample parking. They were well staffed when they needed to be, as they were very busy. The pedicure I received was adequate. Aside from the scalding hot water, which took them too long to remedy, and the EXTREME smell of acetone, my very low rating stems primarily from the cleanliness, or lack there of. It looks like they haven't cleaned in a very long time, and it was all things that could be remedied in one day if they really wanted to. Chairs and walls wiped down (were also old nail clippings on chairs), floors swept, etc. Just general TLC. Also, the woman doing my nails was wearing old gloves that had rips in them. I will not be back and would not recommend this to anyone unless they take the time to care for their business. read more

On Tuesday, April 8, I had a 330 appointment and for some reason the nail tech was not there. Another tech was going to do my nails and I showed her a picture of what I wanted it done and she said she could do it. I wanted dip manicure. She proceeded to remove the old polish and then tell me that she could not do my nails exactly the way I wanted all she could do was just remove the old polish. At this point, I was very disappointed and she charged me seven dollars to remove it. I asked her was she going to put on nail harder and she told me no. So now my nails are weak and brittle and I'm sure by the time I get to the salon on Friday, I will have to have them all cut down, which is really unfair to me. If the nail tech could not do my nails the way I wanted them she should've said so and not taken off my old polish. read more

I come here 2-3 times per year because its location is convenient but each time is disappointing. Techniques are inconsistent. Last time a tech painted my toenails before cutting and filing them. Today someone used cuticle trimmers to cut away callouses on the bottom of my feet before even attempting to use callous gel/tools. As you can imagine, they're not smooth at all. Today was the last day that I will be coming to Luxe Nails. Since I've moved to Indy I had been coming here almost a year now. I've never been charged $15 for the length of my nails. I only came in for a fill-in and the nail tech thought it would be nice to add a little nail art which I agreed due to the pale neutral color choice of my nail. When I began to pay she asked to look at my nail again which I thought was odd because she had just completed them and knew what all I had gotten done to my nails. When she let go of my hand she typed in another charge. She then notified me I owed $65. At this point I had to ask how much a fill in was because I wasn't expecting that high of amount. She told me a fill in was $40 but the length of my nails was added $15 additional. My nails are medium length nothing crazy. They were already shaped minus the fill-in touch up. When I explained I had never paid for the length of my nail they said you may not have noticed receipt we've been charging this price for a few years now. This was a total lie!! Just 2 weeks ago and previous visits I've never paid any amount for the length. Overall I've always liked coming here but this will be the last time. Anything you have done to your nail expect to pay an additional $15 for length. He also told me that had they been longer per inch they increase that amount. Made an appointment for a mani + pedi with a friend and when we got in we had to wait a few minutes to be seated. They seated us separately even with an appointment for 2 people. I got the basic pedicure and my toes are blotchy and trimmed unevenly. My feet are still dry and crusty on the bottom but they also feel incredibly oily which is gross. After my pedicure they sat me at the dryer for over 30 minutes and they still have not started my manicure, but my friends mani was started directly after her pedicure. At this point I will have been at the dryer for her entire manicure. If I wanted to get a manicure at this point we'd have been here for 2.5 hours already with sub-par service and a bad pedi to show for it. I had high hopes for this place and have read lots of great reviews, but I do not think I'll ever be returning. read more

My previous review and experience did not reflect today's services. The salon was very clean, the employees were very cordial, and the tools were either sanitized or brand new in the packages. Here was no overwhelming smell if polish and acetone, as previously. I would recommend nail service at this establishment in the future. The place is definitely pretty to the eyes! I had to wait only about five minutes with a reservation. I chose Vincent for my nail tech online but got someone else, I guess they go "first come, first serve". They didn't push my cuticles back from my feet or my nails before the acrylic nails. (Oh, the toes weren't even clipped- just "filed") My nails look alright. I wish they had a nice shape. All that was done was put the tips on the nails and put acrylic over it. They weren't shaped or anything, I can do better at home I just thought they would do better according to the ratings. The girl who did this for me was VERY outgoing and we had a nice conversation I just won't ever go back, especially since I drove 30+ mins to get there. Paid $100 for the toes and nails :/ read more

I stopped in after having a great first and second experience hoping to get a pedicure before the holidays. While overall it was okay, I felt that the salon wasn't as clean as it used to be, with acrylic nails on the floor next to the chair I was seated in, as well as being quite packed despite the COVID-10 pandemic restrictions. (It was normal capacity / full.) As a perk of using Yelp, I noticed a 20% coupon for services was also available upon check in, however when asking to use it at check out, I was told it wasn't valid and he didn't know about the special, then that it had expired December 10th. I really, really wanted to leave a better review as my previous experiences were great but I just don't feel the same after this trip and may look to another salon for a pedicure. read more

I'm basing my review off of two separate experiences. I had a pedicure for $35 a few weeks ago. I thought the experience was a good one. My only complaint was that the polish chipped on 2 toes on one foot and 1 toe on the other within a couple of days. This is something I've never experienced. When I looked the color up online, I realized it's not a current color which made me wonder how old the polish was. Disappointing because I had wanted to buy a bottle to use at home. My second experience was a gel manicure. I asked for a deluxe manicure and explained I wanted my long nails shaped, and I wanted a gel polish. My nails were cut short with nail clippers. I have wide nails, so cutting them so short makes them look stubby. They were filed quickly and without care - looking at the shapes of two of them, they don't look right. The color I chose from the book was not the color that was applied. It was pretty, so I didn't say anything. Just FYI, if color matters to you I wouldn't choose it from the book. I didn't have my reading glasses on when I left, so I didn't realize until later I had gel polish on my skin around the nails, and some of the nails looked like the polish hadn't been spread out evenly and looked gloppy in places. I was given a basic manicure (not deluxe as requested) and was charged $40. This is a place that does not open instruments in front of you. They most likely sanitize their instruments after use. You have to tip in cash. They will not allow you to add it to your credit charge, check, etc. Edited to add my gel manicure lasted 10 days before it began to lift up on four nails. It literally began to peel away on its own. I happened to look down and saw a good size section on one finger coming away, and when I looked at my fingers I could see 3 other nails were beginning to do the same. I did notice she applied a second coat of polish rather thickly (thus the gloppy look). It definitely affected the wear of my polish. Now that the nails have grown out some, you can definitely see that they are not filed correctly. Some of the nails look okay while others look misshapen and not rounded properly. I've also struggled with skin issues like hangnails because the cuticles weren't cut properly; I never had this issue before. I don't recommend this place for a manicure - at least not with the person who took me. She never told me her name. I've decided to look elsewhere because I want a salon that can do a mani/pedi during the same visit. read more
