After we were seated, forty minutes after our appointment time, an assistant asked whether nitrous oxide would be used, which I declined. The dentist then entered the room without washing her hands and did not introduce herself or confirm my son's identity. She did not explain that she intended to proceed with an extraction. She briefly referenced a "bite block" without clarifying the nature of the procedure. Without obtaining informed consent, the dentist administered Novocaine and exited the room, again without washing her hands. After the injection, an assistant presented an iPad for consent. I asked what I was being asked to sign and was told to "read the iPad." The dentist then returned and extracted the tooth. Post-procedure instructions were provided only after the extraction was completed. At no point prior to Novocaine administration or extraction was informed consent obtained. Additionally, I observed a lack of hand hygiene upon entry and exit, which was concerning as the dentist continued to see other patients. I raised these concerns during the visit. My feedback was dismissed and met with explanations rather than acknowledgment.

He ended up with tons of cavities and one of the teeth is decaying so this year (2021) we made appointments for the regular cleaning with his dentist, after the visit we were recommended to this place Greater Boston Smile Pediatric for his his tooth decay. We did come for consultation and after a few months we can get his teeth straighten out (one is taken out and the other 8 is crowned for his own good). We're so worried to see to see him going through the whole process because he had to take the med for the procedure and he wasn't himself til it wears out (a good 3-4 hours later). He had early appointment and left around noon. He's back to normal around 5pm and we're pleased with the results. The doctor even called around 8pm to check on him and thanks for trusting him to have my boy in his hands. Then staffs are very helpful. You can't find any place like this. Highly recommended! This is long. Tldr: I do not recommend! There's communication issues between the front desk and the…read moredentists. Front desk seems to constantly reschedule because they schedule you on days the dentist isn't there. I will not return. Final straw was a dentist who was dismissive when I was in pain. Didn't have trauma about dentistry before but I do now. Early on I had big frustrations. My very first appt was an emergency appt because I was in a lot of pain. I came in, we did xrays, and discovered I needed a root canal and a filling. I was in a lot of pain (even explained that I was having trouble eating) so I assumed that the next appt one week later would be a root canal. I was shocked when not only had they scheduled me for just the filling but it wasn't noted anywhere on my chart that I needed a root canal. Since the filling and root canal were on different sides, I had to sit through a filling while being in a lot of pain becuase they can't numb both sides of your mouth. So after another week, they were finally able to take care of the root canal. I really wasn't thrilled but I realized people sometimes make mistakes. This was my first red flag. The final straw came a few months later. I started working with a new dentist that I didn't like. He would disregard me when I would say I was in pain during procedures. He would say, "I'm almost done," or "You can't feel that," when I would try to express that I was in pain. The last appt he ever worked on me he told me that I needed to stop wincing in pain because it was making his job harder. I was so humiliated and angry. This was only the tip of the iceberg of my frustration. You see I had ended up needing another root canal. Since this last dentist started the procedure, no matter how much I wanted and asked for someone else, I had to see it through with him. He did the root canal and I had to return for a cap. Well the first cap they measured didn't fit. Frustrating but completely normal and understandable. However, measuring me for the cap was painful the first time. So we did a second round of measuring (where they have to cut your gums in order to measure the tooth). It was worse than the first time. My eyes were watering I was in so much pain. But after voicing that I was hurting, I was told to just lay back and relax. They took two separate measurements and shipped it off to their lab. The day of my next appointment, they call me. I'm supposed to go in to get my cap on. At first they say that I'll need to cancel because they don't have my permanent cap. The lab had sent the molds back to them and they didn't know why. Then they changed their minds. The dentist wanted me to come in to do another round of measurements. I broke down. I had a full crying panic attack. I couldn't sit there in that chair again while this guy cut my mouth open and hand waived my pain away. This was especially considering they had no idea why the lab had sent the molds back. Long story short I haven't been back. I'm never going back. I was willing to put up with some miscommunication between the dentist and the front desk staff. I was willing to put up with the constant rescheduling because the day I was scheduled, the dentist didn't actually work. I refuse to work with someone I can't communicate with. Moreover, I will not work with anyone I don't trust.

My kids, now 10 and 9, have been with this office since their first dental appointments when they were little. For regular dental care, the hygienists and Dr. Lee are kind and gentle. My kids were somewhere between nervous and... very nervous. The staff is so good at working with kids, easing their worries, and getting the dental care done. My kids are now comfortable going to the dentist and engaging in all of the regular care. My daughter has had some struggles with teeth coming in straight (and some delayed loss of teeth). Dr. Lee is a wizard at gently handling these issues, including pulling a reluctant to fall out tooth without her even knowing it happened. Since then, she's gotten her first wave of braces. in the run up to this process, Dr. Lee was extremely thorough and patient in explaining the braces process, what teeth movement we were waiting for ahead of the braces. when talking with parents (and I assume kids), Dr. Lee patiently, clearly, and thoroughly answers questions. after each answer, Dr. Lee asks if you have any more questions and pauses so you can consider. This has been wonderful as we wrestle with trying to understand my daughters teeth and the braces process. I am so grateful for Dr. Lee's kindness, competent dental care, and clear communication. We prepared him for the visit by reading books and watching videos, but he was still very anxious. The office is very clean and modern and had lots of toys and books to play with while we waited, even a TV playing PBS shows. Jessie was our hygienist and she was so patient with him. She showed him all the tools and tested them on his hands before using them. He got to pick out a flavor of tooth paste and she was so kind and helpful when he got anxious and cried. Dr. Lee was very good with him as well and they both gave me some good advice on how to best care for his teeth. My son got to get a prize from the toy machine (a small gumball machine with capsule toys in it) and he was so proud! Thanks to everyone here for making it such a positive experience. It's actually an open area with about 3 chairs for the kiddies to be examine (there are exam rooms behind doors as well but this is what you'll see once you go back ) and every seat has a TV place on the top of the ceiling so that the kids can watch (as distractions and/or for them to feel more at eased) while being examine , which I think is a brilliant idea! . The place is very clean, walls colors are bright and everyone always greet you with a warm smile. The doctors and assistance are always helpful and gentle with my toddlers even though my kids are throwing fits and crying. I would highly recommend taking your kids here! The environment is great! I wish my kids pedi office were like this .
