After we were seated, forty minutes after our appointment time, an assistant asked whether nitrous oxide would be used, which I declined. The dentist then entered the room without washing her hands and did not introduce herself or confirm my son's identity. She did not explain that she intended to proceed with an extraction. She briefly referenced a "bite block" without clarifying the nature of the procedure. Without obtaining informed consent, the dentist administered Novocaine and exited the room, again without washing her hands. After the injection, an assistant presented an iPad for consent. I asked what I was being asked to sign and was told to "read the iPad." The dentist then returned and extracted the tooth. Post-procedure instructions were provided only after the extraction was completed. At no point prior to Novocaine administration or extraction was informed consent obtained. Additionally, I observed a lack of hand hygiene upon entry and exit, which was concerning as the dentist continued to see other patients. I raised these concerns during the visit. My feedback was dismissed and met with explanations rather than acknowledgment.

Today I have a smile I can be proud of all thanks to Dr Elkadry. I call him the Crown King because of the extensive work they have done with crowns and root canals. Unlike most dentists, where you have to have a temporary crown for a couple of weeks while they send the molds out to be processed. Here they do the crowns in house! You wait for about an hour and your crown is ready, the same day! I will never go anywhere else to have my teeth worked on!

At our recent cleaning visit we did X-rays and was told that our child had 4 cavities AND needed a crown!! Now she brushes her own teeth and prob doesn't do the best job but this seemed a little excessive so I brought her to my own dentist for a second opinion. When I showed him the X-rays he didn't see anything that needed a crown.... When I pointed it out he said "oh that's a filling.... Maybe she isn't comfortable with fillings so she prefers crowns but I would definitely do a filling there..." then I ask about the 4 others and he said he only saw one other spot that we could either watch and wait or do a small filling now.... Otherwise it was just the shading!! We will be doing the filling with him and then finding a new pediatric dentist! Dr Connors was always great but this new company is in my opinion sketchy. This was just our recent experience but I had previously heard things about Smileland so I wanted to to share.

Thinking maybe she had a bad day or something. The following week I came with my Son for the treatment, Dr. Connor never once tried to make any conversation or even greeted us during the visit. The whole time we were there she was busy gossiping with her assistant while doing the treatment and completely ignored us. She never explain the treatment to me, I was so surprised to see dark color filling was used. My Son felt the numbness from the anesthetic for the rest of the day (more than 9 hours), he bit his lips to the point that it was bleeding and badly swollen. After reading multiple similar experiences from other people in FB, I decided to move all my three kids from there.

When I first called, I was offered a virtual consultation the following day, which I completed thinking I would be able to schedule an in-office visit shortly after. However, I was told the next available appointment was about a month away. Although that was frustrating, I still scheduled it. Later, my sister received a follow-up text from the office about confirming an appointment. She also had reached out to inquire about Invisalign. But By that time they finally replied to her, she had already decided to move forward with another dental office, so she asked if I could take that available slot instead. The office replied saying that would be fine. However, when I was about five minutes away from the office, the receptionist, Hannah, called and said there had been some confusion and that I should keep my original appointment. That was extremely frustrating because I had already rearranged my schedule and was on my way. It didn't make sense that I was told I could come in if I ultimately couldn't be seen to conduct the appointment in its entirety. When I eventually had my appointment, the doctor and the back-of-house staff were very kind and professional. The visit itself was going well, and I told the doctor I wanted to move forward with Invisalign. I was then told it would take about four weeks for the trays to come in. I've had Invisalign before and know it often takes closer to two weeks, but I was still willing to proceed. The biggest issue came when discussing payment. I was given four payment options, and I asked if I could use my dental insurance and pay the remaining balance with my CareCredit card. I was told that wasn't possible. They mentioned they asked the doctor and apologized, but the answer remained no. I've never experienced a dental office being so restrictive about how a patient chooses to pay. It also makes the promotion offered very misleading considering that's not what's advertised. Overall, while the doctor and clinical staff were pleasant, the confusing scheduling, poor communication, and inflexible payment policies made the entire experience frustrating and ultimately felt like a waste of time. Unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend this office.
