I'd rather pick-up dog waste rather than waste my time there. It's as bad as it gets. "Entertaiment" - NOT. Take rotten vegetables to throw.

All the years I've lived in this city and I've never once stepped foot in this place. Though I've…read morepassed and gandered and the place many times I guess I always missed the fun surprises inside. Long story short as I was scrolling through the feed on that blue app I saw an ad for a horror themed circus that promised extra fright. Curiously I pondered at the date and thought why the heck not. Then as I looked at the website I discovered it was being hosted right at the Kimo. The light bulb in my head clicked on and I thought let me see if a friend wants to join so I can make a better decision. Needless to say I waited to buy a ticket. Why you ask? Well Ill be honest I wasn't quite sure at the time. Then fast forward to last weekend and the same ad appeared with a beautiful promotion setting a price I just couldn't refuse. I just knew I had to go. My friend canceled on me but that was ok because when I stepped through those door it was a refreshing experience. I couldn't help but get lost in its great grandeur. As I entered the seating area I looked around and the vibe had me so excited. The show was phenomenal. I had a really great time. I'm so glad I went. Not only did I get to see the inside of this place for the first time but I got to experience a show here which made it so much more special. I look forward to returning for the next show here!

The cultural dance performances added another layer of depth, a reminder of how many distinct tribes call New Mexico home, each with their own traditions still very much alive. That said, the museum does not shy away from the weight of history. Much of the experience is, frankly, unsettling as it walks you through the realities of Native American history in the United States. It is not an easy visit, nor should it be. But it is an important one. I left both moved and more informed, which feels like the point. For anyone seeking to engage with culture beyond the surface level, this is a place that stays with you.

What makes this exhibit especially powerful is its voice. Rather than being interpreted solely through a traditional museum lens, Grounded in Clay is curated by members of the Pueblo Pottery Collective--artists and cultural stewards who bring firsthand perspective and storytelling to each piece. That authenticity comes through in a way that is both educational and deeply personal. You have time, it will be here for a little bit, but don't wait too long because you want to share the experience with others
