They have top quality plants, a lot of them hard to find, and their customer service is fantastic. They are so friendly and polite, and they'll do anything they can for you. They'll even help you find a plant you want if they don't have it and you can't find it anywhere else. Thank you Marlow, you really are the best of the best. For anybody who has anything critical to say about Marlow's orchids... were you polite? Did you treat them with respect, rather than outrage? Did you politely suggest to them what you thought they should do to make things right, or did you respond with indignation, or did you just hope that they would offer some solution? People don't know what you want or what you expect until you tell them, and treating somebody like an old friend will go a long way in getting you the resolution you hope for.

In terms of value, we found everything to generally be within a reasonable price range - and I managed to find some really fun items, including strawberry mint (excited to use it in a cocktail) and an heirloom cherokee purple tomato plant. I also picked up a lovely little variegated string of hearts succulent and a couple other plants to add to my collection. Couldn't find a couple of the items I was looking for though (a friend asked me to see if I could find a Chinese money plant - and considering they're fairly common, I was surprised that Bristol's didn't have any), but one location can't have everything, ya know? Anyway, Bristol's was lovely and I'm sure I'll be back during future plant shopping adventures.

Another year, another trip to Wilbert's! My partner and I made our second annual quest for the…read moreperfect tree this past weekend, this time with our puppy along for the ride. Wilbert's is a MASSIVE Christmas tree farm that spreads across both sides of Salt Road. They have pre-cut and u-cut, with the u-cut being significantly cheaper. We grabbed a saw and a cart and went on our journey. We probably should have gone across the street to hunt for our tree, as the POSTED SIGN suggested. I am sure there is a safe way to cross the street and get to another path of trees, but the dog was being annoying and we needed to get a move on hence...we went to the more baren side of the field. After finding some potentials that were dead on the inside, we landed on our perfect (slightly smaller this year) tree! The wrap up process is really easy and they even provide twine to adhere the tree to your car. You can show up with nothing, chop down a tree, and drive away with it all with the complimentary materials they have on hand. When I lived in an apartment, I headed down to the boy scout Christmas Tree station that was walkable from my house, and I think they were charging ~$65 per tree. Not the case at Wilbert's where a u-cut will only set you back $45. I highly recommend grabbing your fam and your pooch and heading to Wilbert's this holiday season!

I'm not sure how many different kinds of trees they have but i know it's more than 3. I don't know all the names of the kinds of trees because we always went for a Douglas fir. Each entrance has a team of guys and girls to check you out, shake the tree, cut off the bottom branches and help you put it on the car. They also have manual saws for you to borrow. The price does seem to go up every year which I'm not fond of but that's what keeps them in business I guess. They also sell wreaths and precut trees at a lower price. It's a great place to go to keep up a tradition and if you want a real tree for Christmas
