As always, the Chiluba chicken was delicious and perfectly cooked. But once I got to the Ancho BBQ steak, 90%+ of the pieces were black, crispy and burnt. The flavor of the pieces that weren't burnt were amazing very tasty. But very disappointed with the fact that I was given almost an entire portion on burnt steak. I'm very upset with this location. We had ordered dinner for a family of 5 through drive-through and almost every item was messed up. We had to have the taco salad remade, the 3 steak tacos and the 3 soft shell chicken. When I got home, I went to eat my chicken tacos to find that my tacos had NO chicken. I called the location to explain what happened, and long story short...WE WERE BLAMED FOR THE MISTAKE. Not the employees. They said "there is nothing we can do to fix the situation, you should of watched us make it and tell us the chicken was missing." IM SORRY WHAT?! If you've been to a Qdoba, then you get the basic premise/ concept/ execution of Howell's Qdoba. That said, I must say that the staff are incredibly friendly, consistently get orders 100% on the money, and the food is always warm/ good. Additionally, unlike some locations a few miles up/down I-96, it's always well-kept and clean whenever I've been in the store. I do wish they allowed online ordering like other stores, but the drive-thru window is a nice consolation prize for when you're in a hurry. read more

Love this place. With the comfortable atmosphere along with great food, for ten dollars a person you can't go wrong. (They even have guac that isn't extra!) The service was the sweetest, and with informative attitudes that made you feel like you where in the kitchen with family again. Since the bowls are so limitless you can't go wrong with the (tender and flavorful) chicken with the cheesy and warm queso, if your a person watching what goes in your body as far as calories, carbs, and sugar, the staff and restaurant itself lets you customize what amount of each ingredient you have, best of all soft drinks aren't a ridiculous price either. I'm here about once a week. Usually for Wednesday burrito night. Can't beat a huge burrito bowl and a soda (yes I'm not originally from MI, I know you guys call it pop :P) for $6. It's always packed on Wednesdays. I've even had to park in the Meijer parking lot a few times. Someone said they reuse day old product... I've never seen that, in fact they're almost always bringing out freshly cooked trays of ingredients to replenish the line. I've been to this location a few times and the service is hit or miss. The female workers with glasses are always rude and punchy, while the other female workers and male workers work hard and greet you with a smile. On more than one occasion, I have been made to think that I was a problem for coming in and ordering food by the female employees with glasses. I just went through the drive-through and ordered a burrito with impossible meat cauliflower instead of rice which was an up charge which is fine then black beans. The employee then read back those ingredients and asked if I wanted anything else and I said yes corn salsa a little sour cream and cheese and a little queso so she said OK pull ahead and I will give you your order. I pull ahead and pay for my burrito that was $11 and drive away as I'm eating my burrito I realize there is no cheese no sour cream no corn salsa so I paid $11 for a burrito that had beans impossible meat and cauliflower in it. It's really hard not to be annoyed and confused and come off rude when I say what the hell are you doing when you're taking my order and you're making my burrito you're just not putting over half the shit that I asked for in it?! I am beyond annoyed that I paid $11 and some change for that. And of course by the time I realized all those things were missing I'm on the highway and I don't have time to turn around it's just a complete inconvenience that employee needs to pay more attention or that team needs to work better together because that's just ridiculous. This was my first AND last order via the app and most likely my last visit to this restaurant. I placed the order via the app which worked okay. The app did not denote cashier or drive thru for pick up. I entered the drive thru to help expedite and as a convenience for me. The store manager Ashley ( found by asking other employees later) rudely and briefly denoted they do not service online orders via the drive thru. I entered the restaurant as directed and asked Ashley why is that. She irritatedly denoted "they just don't do that". I pressed on and she denoted that "most stores do not have a drive thru and if there are people ordering, it would slow down my online purchase". I questioned her reasoning since this store, one, had a drive thru and two, I was the only one in said drive thru. Ashley them ordered another employee to "finish this up" and waved her hand toward me to dismiss my questions and note she was done dealing with me. I asked if ignoring customers is the way this store or Qdoba operates? She did not reply or even look in my direction. I asked for her name and received the same. A different team member told me her name was Ashley. This is a ridiculous way to treat customers. I wrote Qdoba to inform them of this. The staff is friendly and the chicken nachos are delicious. The menu has few options, but I have sampled nearly the entire menu and it is all good. They could do a little better at wiping down the dining area, but to be fair they were just coming off a lunchtime rush. My family and I have eaten at this location before and until tonight my experience was unpleasant. As my son proceeded with his order first, the young lady aggressively threw food on his tortilla. I get this is a fast food chain but there was nobody behind us as I felt rushed to proceed with my order as well. The brown rice was almost empty and the young lady asked if I'd like new rice, I said yes. As I approached the meat to create my burrito I wanted chicken but the chicken pan was almost empty and it looked dry and burnt. So I ordered beef brisket, which was good. When paying for our order I had reminded the young lady she had forgotten to put the rice in my burrito. She unrolled it and added the rice. As we sat down to eat I could not even pick it up, it was so wet and sloppy. I tried to eat it with a fork and knife but I kept cutting into the foil it was wrapped in and quite frankly it was ridiculous. I had went up to the young ladies and asked if I could just get a new tortilla. She said she would have to make a new one since it was cut into. I said that wasn't necessary I just cant eat it and I would just like a new tortilla. Another young lady heated a new tortilla without hesitation and dumped and rolled me a new tortilla at my table. She was irritated and claimed this isn't the way they do things. So my question is, why did she do it?!?! If she was persistent about the rules and regulations of the company, i wouldn't of object of a new burrito. During this time they were training another young lady.
