My husband and I went in to this location tonight for an easy dinner. There were two people in front of us in line and it still took almost ten minutes to start placing our order. They were out of white rice and fajita veggies and didn't start making them until I asked for some. Despite them having been empty since we walked in. They then forgot to give the gentleman in front of us one of his bowls and almost sold it again to us. Everyone was working at such a slow pace and the cook was not practicing proper food safety (kept pulling his pants up with his gloved hands and was talking on the phone the entire time we were there). They advertise veggi meat but had none. The rice was hard in my burrito. They charged me for Veggi burrito but I got no vegetables. The chips were old and very salty like the bottom of the container. This location isn't far from my workplace so I've eaten here quite a few times and my workplace has also used it for catering meetings several times. It is consistently good, especially the steak. I usually get the rice and black bean bowl with steak and lots of toppings. It's very convenient to order online and swoop in to pick it up. The one thing I don't like about this location is that it shares a parking area with Panera, Long John Silver and Burger King (?) so the lot can get a bit congested at lunchtime, lots of hungry, angry people in a hurry. Someone suggested the Qdoba bowls so I did the order online for pickup, ordering a selection 4 each of six different Qdoba bowls. Everything was ready on-time with no hassles and no mistakes. The bowls are so much simpler than burritos and tacos. Far less mess and clean-up. As for the vegetarians in our group, the Impossible Fajita Bowl was such a meatless hit that a couple of meat-eaters grabbed one by mistake and loved it. I attended a yelp event here, and this event introduced us to the newest item gracing the menu here. We tried the newly introduced tortilla soup bowl; which is pretty much a burrito bowl+taco bowl shell+ tortilla soup. It was reminiscent of all three things with each bite. While I applaud them for being innovative, at the end of the day I did think that it was more just like a taco salad with rice and soup. Since it was just one small little ladle of soup it wasn't very soupy for me, although it seemed some people got more soup than others. I was totally fine with my small scoop of soup, as I enjoy just the regular contents of a burrito bowl without soup normally! I think this new addition to an already basic and favorite dish is meant to enhance the flavor. I think this item would do pretty well on their menu, with perhaps a little more explanation from the staff on what to put in and what you can put in without incurring extra costs. read more

This new restaurant is even nicer than other Qdobas I've visited before. Nice lighting, modern architecture and a clean environment set the stage for a really good, affordable fast-Mex lunch or dinner. I just recently attended a Yelp Elite event there to try out their newest menu item, the Tortilla Soup. It tasted exactly like it when I make it at home (which is kinda weird that it's that good) and they serve it up with all the meat, queso, and other options available. It's served in a crispy tortilla bowl (like a taco salad). Honestly, that's the only thing I didn't care for as the bowl got pretty soggy by the end. Otherwise, it's top notch! This Qdoba is the first that I have seen that makes tacos. That being said I have only sampled the tacos because I get the burritos. They are huge. Filled to the brim with whatever you ask for. They layout is similar to all the others, but updated and modern. You can watch the corn shells being cooked in the little room that has a round grill. the Manager is friendly and the employees are friendly enough. There is Cholula for those that know it is better than tabasco. My last burrito was so big I had to eat it with a fork. Seriously one of the best hangover foodstuffs I have found in Omaha. Ordered a small order through the Google app, but when I arrived, the store said they did not have record of my order. I showed my receipt on my e-mail, along with actual order that had been placed about 10-15 minutes earlier, and she basically walked away and started helping a guy who got in line after me instead of just making my order. (So I am obviously interested in no contact pickup considering I ordered through an app, and yet you want me to just stand around inevitably until you --might, if at all-- receive my order from Google? Meanwhile, she chose to help the man who did not bother to order in advance and attempt to social distance. Wow.) The manager ended up making my order after explaining they'd been having computer problems. It didn't seem certain that this was being fixed. Be aware that if you order through Google Pay/ Google maps, your order may not be ready to grab and go like it is at Chipotle. I'm not sure why this Qdoba isn't building a drive-through window. The app also advertised curbside pickup, but you have to call when you get there. Good luck getting someone to answer the phone at most of these places. They should really have designated curbside pickup parking spots. There were none. In addition to these frustrations, the food was just nasty. The ingredients was not fresh. Tortilla strips were stale. Queso was nasty looking. Pinto beans were all mushy to the point they looked like throw up. The fajita peppers were raw instead of grilled and cut in huge pieces instead of thin strips. This was only my second time at this location. I hope this isn't typical. read more

I used to love this location. I would drive here from Counci Bluffs even. But recently - it's been downhill. Only come here in the early afternoon when the store manager is working. Don't ever come here late afternoon. The only time I've had correct orders that are loaded up and worth my money is when the store manager is working. Any other time I get half of what I paid for. Heck one time I asked for lettuce on my burrito bowl and came to pick it up - there's like 5 pieces of lettuce. My first time at Qdoba I was excited to try it to compare it to Chipotle which I have been a long time fan of. Simply put, I will be sticking with Chipotle. The serving sizes at Qdoba pale in comparison to chipotle. I was not full after finishing my burrito bowl from Qdoba while at Chipotle I can only finish half of the burrito bowl. The fajita veggies were still raw, and cut into huge pieces. The guacamole here is free unlike chipotle, but the puny scoop that I was given was hardly even tasted in my meal. For my boyfriend and I, our total came out to be only $1 cheaper at Qdoba in comparison to Chipotle. I definitely won't be back to Qdoba, I'll be sticking with Chipotle. read more

I had never been to a Qdoba until recently. The only reason I went was because of a few coupons that came in the mail. I went in yesterday with a BOGO entree coupon, and tried a pulled pork burrito, and a steak burrito. The first thing that alarmed me was that they charge about 9 bucks for a burrito. And it's not a fantastically large burrito, even compared to local Mexican joints. I started having a Pulp Fiction "5 dollar shake" moment, but figured hell, maybe they would be pretty f'ing good burritos. The pulled pork was not good. It had a somehow creamy texture, and no flavor. You could literally make better pulled pork by throwing a pork shoulder, unseasoned, in a slow cooker for a good 8 hours. I was frankly pissed at the price, even considering the BOGO coupon. I figured the steak was going to be great, because when is steak not great? The steak was not great. Honestly, the grilled stuffed burrito at Taco Bell tastes better. Yikes. Even if they were $5 burritos, they wouldn't be worth the price. So, I went back in half an hour ago with a coupon for a free "knockout taco." I ordered one, which was supposed to have steak, but the lady used chicken and nobody told me until I noticed it at the end and called them out on it. I was told they were out of steak. I would have come back later because I wasn't in a chicken mood. Plus, I don't like anyone changing my order on me or trying to slip something past me. What made matters worse is how damn tiny the thing was. The container weighed more than the taco. It was only slightly larger than a Taco Bell taco - and while the side ingredients tasted better, the meat wasn't impressive. I looked at the menu and saw that they charge $3.50 for these tiny, 3 or 4 bite tacos. Restaurants occasionally have bland food. I get that. But to charge the insane prices they charge for mediocre food - just because it's made in a big, open-air, cool-looking place... that's just ridiculous. If your money doesn't mean much to you, and if your taste buds are under-developed, or if you're just really used to drive-through fare, you might enjoy this place. Otherwise, you can EASILY make much better food yourself for a fraction of the cost, or just head over to an actual Mexican place and still get tasty food at half the price. As I wrap up this review, I'm sitting here, running a few last-minute evaluations of myself, because I cannot for the life of me fathom why there are mostly positive reviews on this place. Cool new location, consistent food. The food offerings continue to be consistent with the other chain locations here. This location however is a bit cooler than most. For a fast food'esque joint, it's modern and clean. It also offers up outdoor seating along with accordion style front doors, so when the weathers nice, it has a nice indoor/outdoor feel. (what can I say it's walking distance from work ;) Service is still a little shaky as I'm sure they are still in the process of training and hiring new staff so I would say have some patience especially when it's busy. What I can say is the service has improved with each visit. I got there today a little before noon and was immediately greeted by a very happy employee. There was no wait and I got through the line very quickly. All of the ingredients looked and tasted very fresh. I always go for the chicken burrito bowl. Hasn't failed me yet! I love how the company states that you are open until 10:00PM and when I get there at 9:45 the doors are locked. A call to the restaurant confirms that they are "normally" open until 10:00 but tonight they "ran out of their popular meat" so they decided to close it down early. This is why businesses fail! The bowl was amazing but one employee was loud and disruptive the whole time I was there. I love this place but today's visit was almost ruined. This employee was wearing a football jersey and continued to shout and listen to her phone with the volume up too high, she argued with her boss in front of everyone and was just completely unprofessional. I guess when I go out to eat I don't want to listen to people especially employees, shout and be forced to listen to whatever it is they're listening to. Just my opinion. read more
