I'm giving this place 1 star because of the nice gentleman who helped us check out. However the blonde lady with a nose piercing who served me and my friend was extremely rude. Constantly huffing and puffing about our order and then when I asked for extra rice because she was kind of not giving us very big portions she gave me the nastiest look ever. My wife and I had a horrible experience with the two young boys working there in Sunday August 15th. I informed the Manager on duty who was immediately proactive and went and got me the H General Managers contact information. I called him the same day and he responded the next day. I am satisfied with the response of the Manager and General Manager, who have assured me it will be addressed. I will return to this restaurant not only because the food is good, but management has.proven to be proactive on matters like this. Wow! My family of 5 had a late night dinner here. One brisket burrito bowl, one brisket burrito, chicken burrito bowl and mad rancher tacos were all fantastic! Everything was fresh and tasty. Why on earth did I go here? Errrrrrr. I don't know, actually. My friend in the area thought I was joking. It was quick and convenient and my mom and I were shopping. It seemed better than Olive Garden. It was a Wednesday night and we needed a spot of food to hold us over, and this seemed like a decent option... And it was CRAZY crowded. A line. At Qdoba. WTF. Apparently Wednesdays are the $3.99 chicken burrito + drink night. I thought they must be giving away beer or small/cute Mexican dogs or something. Seriously, lined up for QDOBA. The humanity. What does this tell me? That someone should open up a REALLY GOOD fast paced Mexi joint/taqueria in TC. And do this shit up right. Mr. Salsa (Chicago)...I have a business opportunity for youuuuuuuu! What else does this tell me? I will not be eating at Qdoba next time I am in town. The food is mediocre. The place was sort of a sty. The service was pretty slow (although very friendly). My mom and I both had salads with lots of "wet" toppings and unfortunate dressing. Hers had mango. MMM, ok. This location always provides speedy service with a smile. I rarely wait in line here except for peak meal times where as expected there is a line up but the employees keep everyone moving forward. I appreciate getting to watch most ingredients get prepared right in front of me. I've never seen any of their team members cut corners. During my lunch visit today there looked to be a member of upper management so this is mainly a guilt post because I think I made their staff look bad but I have traveled a lot regionally and this has always been my favorite location. I recommend taking chances on their menu because most flavors are very palatable nothing distastefully overwhelming that could ruin a dish- they've also let me try things like new salsa flavors on the side before I decide I want it drizzled all over my meal. read more

I absolutely love this place but they're non close to me I would love if they built one in Manistee or Ludington. Anyway I always get the nachos which smack. Might be on the toilet with the runs for an hour or so, the next day but its very worth it. For christmas and my birthday I asked for a gift card to Qdoba because its just that good. After several tries I've finally decided Qdoba is A-OK. But just barely. I am a Chipotle fan, always will be. So Qdoba is a tough sell to me since the flavor profiles are so different. My biggest beef with this location is that their sour cream and salsas are friggin' ICE COLD and they make anything I have them added to COLD. If I want a burrito, I want it HOT. If I want a taco, I want it HOT. Get this fixed, Qdoba! At least they do the $5 burrito plus drink deal on Wednesdays... that sorta makes up for the freezing condiments. I live in a major metropolitan city most of the year, less than three hours from the border, and I LOVE Mexican food. So. I think its fare to say i have fairly good judgement when it comes to reviewing the quality of "south of the border" cuisine. This place is a non-identical twin to Chipotle. If you've ever dined at a Chipotle then you've been to a Qdoba before. The menu's are almost exactly the same and the quality of the food seems to match that of the more famous sibling. The prices here might even be a bit better. For Northern Michigan this is the best fast food mexican spot around. read more

First time going to Qdoba because I moved somewhere where there are no Chipotles. That is pretty much the only reason you go to Qdoba. Had a horrible experience. Place was empty, one other person behind me. I sat in an empty line for a good 5 minutes while the workers were cleaning right in front of me. Finally got some "service" and ordered a burrito that was half wrapped. The girl who took my money even noticed and tried to re wrap the burrito a second time but even then didn't wrap it enough. First bite I took, burrito blow out! Ate the whole thing only because I was starving. Veggies were pretty much raw, the lime chicken was all hard, crunchy, crusty, and burnt! Great food! But the management is terrible! My son was hired. He loved working there! It was his first job. The manager had him work a month leading up to Thanksgiving then just didn't put him on the schedule! My son asked the manager why & he was told they were training other employees for a different place an hour away. Then after 2 more weeks my son asked if he was on the schedule & the manager told him they were too busy for him to work because he wasn't trained! How else do you learn! But to work! When it's busy! He has had five weeks off! Wasn't fire! But NO explanation & they have a sign on the door that they are hiring!! Bad management! read more
