We enjoyed some hot bar items (delicious), some bakery items (scrumptious), and of course, grabbed hotel essentials for our stay, like water bottles and snacks. I didn't have much interaction with staff here, so can't speak on the service. There are lots of self-checkouts available. I'd say we ended up in this Whole Foods about 3-4 times in our 5-day stay. Perhaps not my favorite but I'm glad I got to try something new! In addition to that there is something similar to Pocky called Pretz. This is a more savory version of Pocky. I found a toasted sugar flavor which I never came across before and that was good too! So it definitely was a hit coming back again. In addition to the grocery store itself at this location there is a connecting bookstore and a food court. So you could definitely spend a considerable amount of time here! let me start by saying that this "store" is really just the combination of employees who couldn't finish college and employers who do not want their employees to either succeed or advance in position in the company. that being said, let's get into the meat of this review. I have never had a good experience at this store, and I am in there a few times a week. my first complaint is the fact that it is simply impossible to find anything in that death trap of confusion. ad the employees are less than willing to help you out. speaking of employees, let's talk about one who I particularly dislike. if you are aver in there, you will likely see the employee named Todd. after talking with this dude who lives alone with his cat, I find it hard to believe that he got hired. most of the time, he just stands on one spot making weird faces at his courtesy clerks, most of whom are years younger than him. talking to one of his employees, a courtesy clerk, I found out that he is incredibly rude to the younger people at the store and Is completely self- centered. the way that he talks to customers is extremely annoying. if you don't know who I'm talking about, just go to the check stands and look for the kinda tall guy wearing a red vest. if you don't see him, you will probably hear his annoying laugh. lastly, the customer service is simply the worst. the courtesy clerks don't know the definition of courtesy. it seems like they would have been trained on simple vocabulary, seeing as most of the workers here didn't finish high school. one of the courtesy clerks even gave me the break room door code. it seems as if they received NO BASIC TRAINING. if I ask where something is, they simply reply with "I don't know, I WAS NEVER TRAINED ON THIS." obviously they should try a little harder in their HR department, because they hire uncivilized people who don't know what they are doing. their groceries are overpriced, gross junkies harass you, and you never feel safe in the store. final conclusion: STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS read more

Still four stars. Though I do say it is moving towards the five. This QFC across recently underwent a multi-million dollar renovation. The renovation included an expansion that makes the shopping experience better than before. Some of it is not noticeable unless you have shopped here. For those who have, there is a lot more space in the meat/seafood section. The beer/wine section which was previously cavernously next to the meat department has been moved to the other side of the store. In its place is a well lit dedicated natural foods section which includes a freezer case. In general, the expansion means a larger grocery selection which is a plus. If you can't find a specialty product at one of the other seattle QFC locations, I would suggest shopping at this one which is more upscale. The store also has added a few additional self checkout machines to make the process quicker if that is your preferred way of paying. This QFC is the best of the ones in Broadway. The renovation has simply made the shopping experience even better. read more

Avoid!I've been going to this QFC for over 25 years,and I'm use to having security police kinda follow me around but today is the first time I've had one "type me",as in I'm the type to shoplift!I went into the store this afternoon for 1 thing,I went straight to the alse where this thing was..it took me a few minutes to find it,all the while this armed white cop with glasses is standing there looking right at me,as soon as I found my item he said to me"Now,you're taking it to check out,right?"I replied"What do you think I'm going to do with it?"He then said"Its just a question. "I replied "No,it's a stupid question!"Then I went to self check out,paid for it and as I left,I waved it at him with the receipt clearly visible. This store is becoming more and more hostile to customers as the months progress. This store had a convenient 3 entrance arrangement, including a back entrance near the pharmacy with dedicated checkout lanes. The entrance closed, and the other two were made narrower in some sort of attempt to deal with shoplifters or something. Problem is, they have a known problematic employee who likes to stalk customers in the store, and they've done nothing about him even after being reported to management and shown paperwork proving his past. When the back entrance closed, it's led to myself and my partner to have higher anxiety in the store. I get that as Bezos prices more folks out of this town, the sidewalks are filling up with those in need. It doesn't excuse this stores actions to limit mobility for customers nor retaining dangerous employees with criminal records. read more

HOMOPHOBIC SECURITY GUARD This QFC has been steadily declining over the past few years but the homophobia and disrespect my partner and I experienced today is the straw that broke the camel's back. We will never shop here again. My partner and I decided to pick up a few things for breakfast and we needed to grab a few things from the upper level. As soon as we get to the top of the stairs this security guard shouts "SHOW ME YOUR ID'S!" Complete caught off guard give me both fumble to show this man our identification. The whole time this man is glaring daggers at us as if he could murder us with his eyes. The utter disgust and disdain this man had for us was palpable. I've always given QFC the upmost respect, ( the blue collar store), but now I find they've really changed their stripes. FIRST their products are labled a lower price then the register rings them up for. SECOND When I pointed it out to the sales clerk he immediately recolnized the dis- crepancy, and then JIVED me out of .60 of the 1.60 refund. THIRD When I got home I recolnized they done exactley the same thing with the strawberries, $5.00 instead of $3.00 TITLE Its not 30% they overcharged me. I am a straight A student who wouldn't ever shoplift. I was also raised to take a stand for the things I believe in and for what my rights allow me. Stores in Washington are not allowed to ask for receipts without reasonable belief that you have stolen. Because I don't steal, I find it morally right to decline. In spite of this, I was trespassed from the store for declining, which means I was trespassed on account of something they legally cannot ask. I will not stand for policies that punish those who can't afford to eat or those who don't blindly follow their illegal rules. Hates capital hills one ( in the Broadway Market) The seafood + Meat department are horrible. They offered you a sample, when you walk away, they would talk behind your back and laugh about it. Sometimes my niece stays over at my condo. When she does sometimes she gets hungry. When she hungers for Mrs.T's Pierogies at 1AM (non-school nights of course) I know that I can walk down the street to my favorite 24hr Grocery store and buy her all the potato cheddar goodness she can fit in that sassy (re:gothic) mouth of hers. But it was an alternative option as my grocery options were pretty limited late one Friday night. Coffee Bar was already closed, deli department was also closed, but few items to choose from the deli were in the refrigerated section, beer and wine department had an assortment of items to choose from. Yet alcohol wasn't on my agenda. What I did find was a few bakery items, breakfast burritos looked worth a try, and this was my first attempt to healthy sodas and fresh squeezed juices. Appreciated a staff that guarded the front entrance for safety and security. The cashier offered me to join and become a member. Membership fee was a bit high, although if I return more often, it might be a better investment. Almost all businesses in Capital Hill cater to the LGBT community, you will see rainbow flags flying at store fronts. Seattle is such an inclusive and diverse city.

Convenient, especially now that Whole Foods closed, but there are some major issues. The prices are…read morestraight up insane, like $7 for a loaf of white bread and $12 for a six pack of Rainier. The hours online are listed as being open til 9, the hours on the building say they're open til 8, but in practice they kind of close whenever they feel like it. Most of my attempts at going there have been around 7pm and they are usually closed already. Lastly, if you do manage to go there while they are open, they will profile and treat you like a thief. The first time I went there, I went up and down every aisle to see what all they had and the woman at the register watched me like a hawk the whole time. After I picked up one of their $12 six packs of Rainier and started approaching the register, the woman said something to the other guy who was working there and he went over to the doors and was holding them both shut blocking the way out, as if I was going to steal from them???? I just go to the gas station across the street instead now. There are lots of sketchy weirdos that hang outside, but at least the employees are friendly and the prices are normal

Price gouging!!! Expired food. (Happened to me 4 times) no refund. I wanted to give this place a…read morechance but the way these employees treat the houseless and black individuals is disgusting. There is a corner store around the corner on Jefferson, cheaper prices and they are very friendly.
