One of the mini marts in the Eastlake neighborhood, which does not have a supermarket. I work nearby and it is really difficult to find cheap eats for lunch. It is a neighborhood in which a burger costs $20. Your best bet for finding an inexpensive meal is grabbing some hot food from one of the mini marts. Eastlake Market is the most centrally located and one of the largest. The store is filled with typical convenience store items. This includes fountain soda, assorted groceries and beer & wine. They also have a fridge case of prepared foods including sandwiches and salads. At the register, there is a hot food case of typical convenience store hot foods. Mostly fried. Got a pasta salad here for about $6 which was alright. Not a fancy place, you come here to just get a quick and inexpensive bite. Level set your expectations appropriately before visiting. read more

This place is great. I have lived in Eastlake for 23 years and have enjoyed watching this place grow and flourish. I even prefer to go shopping here as opposed to Pete's (or whatever it's called now) down the hill. They have had the same staff there for years and they are kind and courteous and seem like They care about the neighborhood. This is a review strictly for the hot food they serve. I got the chicken curry and rice as well as the spicy chicken wings, and my friends got the chicken curry and rice, as well as the beef bulgogi gyoza. Curry and rice costed $7.99, wings were $3.99, gyoza was $3.99, and ranch was $0.35. Wasn't really feeling the chicken curry. No doubt it looked good. But assuming it's Korean/Japanese style curry, the taste was kinda odd. Not quite sure how to describe it but my friends agreed as well. Props though that the carrots and potatoes were nice and tender. The portion was worth the price though. The gyoza was just okay. I mean, it's kinda hard to screw up dumplings. The flavor wasn't too prominent though. Kinda sad to say I kinda prefer the frozen aisle beef bulgogi mandu you can get from Costco, Uwajimaya, or H Mart. Although, the chicken wings were pretty solid. I wouldn't say they were anywhere near spicy, just had enough spice to flavor the wings. I personally wouldn't come back since it's out of the way for me, but this place does seem like somewhere solid to get a meal. This place is holy ground to my roommate and I. Whenever we need something quick and easy, we'd just walk over to Eastlake and there it is! From food, to small groceries, I even found electric tape when I sorely needed it. The staff is great too, there's one grumpy guy that works there, but it's honestly not the worst thing in the world. I've met far worse employees in other stores. Every one is giving these guys too much baggage for the negative ratings. These guys are the coolest. If you live close by, get your stuff here. Small convenient store located centrally in Eastlake. It's a great location, in the middle of eastlake( which isn't very big). Eastlake does not have a large grocery store. This one is nice it has really everything you need for a small corner store. It's very small but it includes a hot case of food made daily, including cold sandwiches pre-made. Best of all they carry a large selection of gummy candies including hi-chews. It's a very important part of my vegetarian diet. The family who runs and operates the business are so nice. Probably the most personable for a convenient store. I recommend it for the "Oh, I forgot (blank), do you think the market will have it?" yes they do! read more

Decent convenient store with an adequate selection of some things but a limited variety of others. They have just about anything you might need from snacks, to beans, to some frozen items, and bags of ice. Let's not forget beer. I do tend to like the beer they have in stock, despite Pete's down the street having a wider selection. I find myself a bit disappointed in the variety when I'm having some munchies and need a frozen pizza or chips and salsa fix, although they get they job done. They have fresh lunch food, like fried chicken and are well stocked in sandwiches that look tasty. I always forget about these things but it's nice they have those options for the lunch crowd. Kudos for having late hours. I go to Pete's more often but prefer Eastlake Market to Eastlake Specialty Market and will continue to drop in once in awhile in a pinch, especially at night after Pete's has closed. read more

Rude staff! I'll never come back here if I can help it. I bought an ice cream that was broken on top and looked like it had melted and re-froze so I asked for a new one. The man at the counter rolled his eyes at me, yelled to not come in any further as he went to get me a different ice cream and then slammed the new one down on the counter as he opened it and said "GOOD?!" Yes, it could be cheaper for some particular items... but it's a little mini mart - what do you expect? They have banging salads pre-packaged (I used to buy them before hopping the bus to work or school), decent fried items, and a ton of other stuff. Beer, wine, sake, smokes, pop, energy drinks... the usual kwik-e-mart fare. Everyone that works there has been working there for years and they're all SUPER NICE. I adore each and every one of them. I had moved away for a couple years, and when I came back, the old guy that works there adjusted his glasses and said, "Ahhhhh, you back? Where you been? Didn't see you long time!" Pros: It's open to 2am, it has frozen pizza, beer, deodorant, cocacola, Doritos, GQ magazine.... everything a bachelor could ever want! Cons: Why did all the prices go up 5-10% in the last 3 months? Beer went up 50 cents, making this place one of the more expensive places to buy beer in Seattle. A six pack of Sierra Nevada is now $8.49. So if I'm on my way home, I'll try to go to a different convenience store to save a couple cents... but if I'm lazy and don't want to go far, or if it's late, this place is great. read more

Eastlake doesn't have a real supermarket, so places like Eastlake Market are a lifesaver! The market has a good mix of everything from cleaning supplies to craft beer to kombucha to toasted nori. The convenience food options are decent, but not the healthiest (think TV dinners and things with sodium levels of over 9000). For slightly healthier food options, Pete's or Hamlin Market may be more for you. The owners are really nice and the night crew is alright. One great thing about this place is that it's open late (till 2 am on most days)! That means this sister can get her Hot Pocket on into the wee hours of the night! Woot! read more

This store really seems to have everything that a convenience store should and more. They have the usual suspects: snacks, treats and beverages, but they also stock lots of other grocery items: butter, ice cream, eggs, foil, laundry detergent, dog food, matches...(this is the list of items i've needed in a pinch!) The prices reflect the convenience but I'm sure glad this store is here. Although Eastlake doesn't have a grocery store, this market saved me a few times when I was either too lazy or unable to get to a store (rare snow days). This is going to sound weird, but their tomato basil soup (actually, I think they label it basil tomato) wins them a solid 3 stars. It's...really good. It's such an odd place to buy soup, but I'll be damned if having my wisdom teeth out and needing soup wasn't almost worth discovering this. They have a good selection of snacks and beverages. Good breakfast sandwiches. However everything is significantly over priced due to moderate distance between them any big name grocery stores. I've had multiple negative interactions with staff. Overall their customer service is cold and severely lacking politeness. I've spent a substantial amount of my hard earned nursing money at this establishment. One specific example being that they refused to let me exchange enough cash for quarters to do even one load of laundry! Disappointing. If I forget to make my lunch for work I end up stopping here to get something. I usually get a breakfast sandwich for me to eat before my shift starts. I like it a lot better than the breakfast sandwich the coffee shop down the road sells. They stuff it with a lot of eggs and real cheese. I get their chef salad for lunch which is also huge. The lettuce is very fresh as well as the grape tomatoes. They do use packaged deli meat slices and cheese sticks that they sell in their little grocery section all cut up. Don't forget your dressing, which are stacked near the salads. They have everything a typical convenience store sells. My coworker sometimes get snacks during her breaks here. She let me try their fried breaded shrimp, potstickers and egg rolls. They were pretty tasty. She was also able to find the cappucino, wasabi and bacon mac and cheese flavored Lays potato chips sold here. I can never find those flavors at the regular grocery stores. They open at 5am so it is perfect for me to grab something quick since it isn't that busy that early. You do pay the price for convenience though. read more

Hey, it's just up the street from me and has a very impressive selection of candy bars, chips and lottery tickets. Some days that's all I'm really looking for! I am also told though that they do have good salads and sandwiches, I'm someone who's a little leery of eating ready-to-eat food from gas stations and convenience stores but my roommate loves them. It is a bit more expensive though, and for pretty much everything that's not candy bars, chips or lottery tickets I tend to wait on until I make the drive to a real grocery store. They also have a minimum fee if you want to use a card here, so either have cash on hand or be ready to buy more then just a candy bar. read more

This place is great, a perfect little neighborhood corner convenience store. Their prices are great and they have a decent selection of almost everything. They don't have Dr. Pepper on tap anymore, which sucks, but that's ok. They have everything you need... have a last-minute need for some cat food? They have it! They even have t-shirts and dirty magazines AND cones! The only thing I don't like about this place is the woman that works there. Most of the time there are a couple dudes that wait on people, but when this woman is there (I've only seen one chic) we almost just want to turn around and walk out becuase she is SO RUDE to us, and for no reason! I've been going to this place for about 8 years! We discovered another little store on the other side of us on Eastlake, so that's where we've been going, but if this lady could get her manners in order and realize that customers shouldn't be yelled at or treated poorly, we'll start frequenting this place agian. This is a store, like a convenient little store. They are open most of the time, well at least most of the time when people are awake. They sell most of the things that you want, or at least they sell some version of most of the things you want. It is super convenient if you live in the Eastlake area where there are no real stores. The people that run this joint are awesome. Super friendly and they say "What's Up" and stuff. You know, all the things that the cool kids say, they say it. I have never had a problem in all my years dealing with them. And they are right across from the Zoo Tavern, so there is no shortage of f-d up people coming in there and giving them sh--.
