the side of a food truck

Take the Q65 and get off at QHC (Queens Hospital Center) and you're there! The first two times I got this it was really good. I slowly started to realize how little protein this place gives after I stopped sharing it, thinking the other person ate all the meat. Today was my third time trying it and there was no one eating my chicken. Hm, where did the chicken go? Did it cross the road? As I sat on 164th street, staring at the popcorn truck on front of me, my eyes watered up and my nose started running as the spicy sauce hit the back of my throat. If you like spicy food, this is definitely the right truck. BUT GUESS WHAT? It costs an additional $1-$1.50 for drinks. This truck is pretty generous with their portion for rice. It is a bit on the dry side for me. Each box comes with salad and a little leaf with potatoes inside. Not my favorite truck because there is a long line here and the food isn't the best i've had. I've had better halal in Flushing where the guy gives students free drinks and he's much friendlier too! Good food here if you're hanggry.

    Lam platter

I would say other place is much better and way better from their rice etc.. they use regular or low quality rice , compare to other places this is small. Food taste just right. At least I tried. But will never have another encounter. Lamb platter . Lamb is over cooked like u do not need to chew ur food and very salty. . I am unable to finish my food either .. waste of money

TLDR: If you're looking for a quick meal, King Souvlaki has always scratched the itch. Souvlaki…read moresticks are good for a quick bite but usually we get a beef/lamb gyro platter or a pita sandwich - Greek fries if you have a friend to share. I've been going to King Souvlaki for many years. Nowadays you can also order on UberEats/DoorDash but for the best, just go in-person of course. The Greek Fries are great with olive oil and feta but it is a large portion. I believe you can now upgrade the platter fries so you can get to taste the flavor without it being over the top. Our go to order is the platter but you can never go wrong with a sandwich either. The rice is seasoned well and with the tzatziki sauce and small salad - it's always a good plate. They do also have chicken options but beef/lamb is the way to go in my opinion. The gyro is has great flavor but it's also not overly greasy like some places.

My only complaint was the tzatziki sauce. It was much thicker than expected and had a stronger tartness, rather than the creamy, smooth texture I was hoping for. That was a little disappointing, but overall, it was still a solid meal.
