Small little place next to west Kendall regional library

While out early voting this week, we stopped for breakfast at this little place in a shopping mall. The place is small but casual & cozy. The lady that was at the counter was very sharp and friendly. Not sure if this is Colombian or Venezuelan place but they have the typical Colombian breakfast, which I like, it's called "calentado" although pm this day, I was not able to order it as they had run out of red beans and were offering black beans instead; therefore, I declined and ordered the Cuban breakfast. The bread was delicious, even at Cuban restaurants, they don't make the break like Q'Hubo. The eggs with ham, Cuban toast (yummy bread) and cafe con leche (latte) for s whopping $6.95. If you are looking for a casual place to have a quick Latin breakfast look no more.

A Venezuela/Colombian place to have a little of everything. I took my kids to Q'hubo because they love Venezuelan food. I tried everyone's plate. My daughter had arepa de queso blanco rayado and a malta Polar from Venezuela! It was soooo good. Cooked on the grill and with enough butter to make it even better. My son had a Patacón con carne mechada, it had also, shredded white cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, fries and pink sauce. The ladies taking care of us were very nice and one of them even advised us which Patacon to choose and why. The patacon was good but not great. The tostones were delicious but the filling was ok. The meat inside it was cold and I didn't like that. I had a Colombian empanada with meat and potatoes. I liked it, it was crunchy in the outside and soft on the inside; just the way I like it. I added their homemade hot sauce and it was a good idea!

I just tried what's called Patacon chicken sandwich never seen anything so big and tasty It's just delicious Patacon means banana So if you've had tostones it's a sandwich instead of bread it's these two huge tostones

Mango milkshake made right before our eyes fresh and delicious.

This is a cozy little Latin place nestled next to the Kendall Public library. First time I came here was for a quick bite of pan de bono. The buns are flavorful, fresh, and melt in your mouth goodness that go perfect with your morning cafe con leche. The second time I came here, they were just about to close but were still gracious enough to tend to my daughter and I without making us feel unwanted like some places do when they are in closing mode and anxious to go home. My daughter had a mango milkshake which tasted like it came from an abuelita's ktchen. We had a tequeño as we waited for our entree. Even though it was the last one they had, it still tasted fresh and delicious. The cheese was smooth and creamy and not rubbery. When our chicken steak (bistec de pollo a la plancha) came out, it was much larger than expected. It came with 3 sides, and was enough food to satisfy both of us with plenty leftover for the next day's lunch. My only gripe was that the chicken was a bit drier than my particular taste yet actual flavors/ seasoning were on point. The rice and beans were filling and the fries were hot and crispy. I especially loved the picante sauce which tasted and looked freshly homemade. Over all I would recommend this place and now after reading the other reviews I myself will return if only to try the patacon! I wish they opened later than 7pm :(

I was really looking forward to a Venezuelan arepa. They gave me something that looked like an arepa but was not what I am used to getting. Kinda on the flat side, soggy and burnt in spots. It was filled with carne mechada (shredded beef).. the beef was tasty. I also ordered a colombian empanada that was soggy as well and cold.

Piece of plastic found inside the burrito.

This is the third time we have ordered from this restaurant. The first time my rice was under cooked but i understand things like this happen so we gave it another chance. The second time the rice was OK but the chicken was very chewy. Great seasoning but I was not able to get past how chewy it was, my husband seems to think its freezer burn! Today my husband wanted their burritos, and I gave in again to give them one last chance!!! Never again! The chicken was again chewy and very salty I was not able to eat it! And to make things worse there was a piece of plastic in my husbands burrito!
