I took my dress for my son's wedding in for alterations and had the worst experience ever. I should've walked out when she quoted me two separate prices but because she was so friendly and seemed knowledgeable about her expertise and work I figured I'd just stick with her. BOY WAS I WRONG. My dress was horrible!!! She basically reconstructed the dress. She was only supposed to take in the dress at the sides and take in the top of the dress. Let's just say the dress looked nothing like what I ordered. HOW DO YOU MOVE POCKETS THAT WERE NEVER EVEN NOTICEABLE TO THE FRONT OF THE DRESS?!!! The pockets were on the waist/front/stomach of the dress?!! Like how!!! Then she asked me to come back in another week. That should've been red flag number two. I went back a week later and the dress was still a mess!! The left pocket was still ripped and uneven. My son's wedding is in 5 days!?! You didn't do half of what you should have, you overcharged, then you didn't even apologize! I had to purchase another dress from Amazon You owe me a refund and you need to just close this shop or just be honest upfront and say you can't do something. My son picked this dress for me to wear and you ruined what was spied to me a special moment for my family. I came in October to have my engagement photo shoot dress altered. I was in a pinch because I had ordered a dress online and it arrived late and had to leave to California the next day. I was worried she would not be able to take me in and although she didn't have to, she did! The dress was done the next day and I was able to leave to California on time to do my shoot. I highly recommend Q Tailor. She has worked miracles in my opinion for my family and I. She has hemmed a beaded prom dress for my daughter which turned out perfect. Over many years of going to her she has taken in pants, suits, dresses, jackets, coats and even a swimsuit for me. Turn around times sometimes vary likely because she does all of the sewing herself and is dependent on the volumes she is working on at the time. I needed patches sewn on a leather vest. They were able to accommodate this the same day. The thread blends in perfectly with all the patches. They stayed in the lines and it looks perfect. They lined everything up and it's all straight. The vest has access to sew on patches and not sew the lining or pockets and they used this. They provided amazing customer service. This place was a complete nightmare! We dropped off two suits that needed alterations on September 17th. The lady asked us to return on Saturday October 15, so we can try on the suits! We had explained to her we needed the suits for a wedding that was going to be out of town on the 22nd of October but she assured me everything will be ok. We arrive on Saturday morning and at first she was frantically looking for the suits, After about 10 minutes she finally finds them and hadn't even started anything on both suits! They asked us to come back on Tuesday because they need more time, as if a month was not enough! I explained to them I have no more time because we still have to get them dry cleaned and we leave Friday! They asked us to return at 3pm! When we get there my suit was completed, however, the second suit was not! They charged us $148, for one of the suits, to make alterations to a jacket and pants but they only worked the pants the jacket was not even touched! We explained to them that the jacket hadn't been altered, the reason we needed the jacket altered is because it was too tight around the underarm. Their solution, to just leave it unbuttoned! That is not a solution, especially after we paid for the services in advance! We had to return a third time that day,before closing, to finally get the suit! This was such an awful experience and will never return! read more

I've been going here for 10 years. My relationship began when I needed a bunch of clothes tailored for my first trip to Europe. I needed everything quickly and was very specific. She got everything done in time for my trip. Over the years I've brought dozens of clothes. She's done everything from changing a dress into a top to adding bra pads to a cocktail dress. She's hemmed and taken in. She's shortened straps and helped me change out fabric in clothing to create a completely different look. I can communicate anything I want and she'll have it done exactly the way I envisioned it. We've been able to change things so much we sometimes recreate new looks. I LOVE this place! I took in a cut off vest to have a back patch sewn on on a Tuesday. She said it would be ready after 12:00pm on Friday. When my wife went to pick it up, I took one look at it when she got home and said 'This is AWESOME!'. This lady did such a fantastic job that it looks like I may have bought the vest with the patch already attached. I have a couple other patches that I'll definitely be taking in.
