Company is less than dog water. Ruined our 30th birthday party. The driver was adamant about not going to the bars we suggested and dropped us off 35 minutes early after showing up 32 minutes late. Bus rental on Sat 9/17. These guys are a FN joke, stay away. The driver tried to hold people on the bus for his tip - he actually stated "no one can get off the bus until I get my tip". Equipment (bus) was sub par POS. They were 30 minutes late, and were rude on top of it. This company is a joke. Used a flash light to see the speedometer because the dash lights were out. Started 20 minutes late. Not at all what was advertised. The seats were on 2x4s and they weren't fastened down. The sounds system was awful and couldn't hear any of the music. Called the owner when we got to the first bar to see if we could get some money off because it's not what was advertised at all and he was rude and not accommodating at all. Worst experience ever. The owner is a roided out rageaholic. Screamed, threatened and swore at every customer in our group that called him with concerns after we were left stranded at a Casey's on Iowa city. He admitted to sending a bus that he knew needed a new clutch. Refuses to give us a refund. Double booked our buses in Iowa city which led to items being stolen from our groups personal belongings. One bus was an hour late picking us up so 40 people had to stand outside in -30 degree weather for an hour until the bus got there. The second bus that broke down didn't get back home until 6 am. When we pursued a case with a lawyer he said tried to intimidate us with saying he found drugs on our bus. He has no right to run a business or treat people this way. read more

How hard is it to keep appointments that are made months in advance you may ask, apparently very difficult for this company. Second time in a year they have canceled our groups reservation days before our event. It would be more reliable to charter a horse and buggy than to use this company. So if you enjoy disappointment in your life or aren't let down enough in your average day then 100% recommend Quad City Party Bus. read more

This was by far one of the worst experiences I've had with a party bus. We were promised a bus that could fit 35 people; because our group had some deserters they sent a smaller bus. This bus didn't even fit our group of 21 people. We had to have people sitting on coolers in the aisle. The stairs looked like they could fall apart at any minute, the tires were bald, half the windows didn't have a latch to open them, a couple windows were broken and held together with advertisement stickers, the few party lights present were falling put of the ceiling, the AC would not turn on until a fellow passenger fixed it and even then it would make terrible cranking noises. The door did not shut all the way, the windshield wipers were terrible and just smeared everything around. The radio system would not pay over a certain volume and would just turn off randomly. Those were just the physical problems with the bus. The driver himself was also not very efficient. He did not have directions provided nor a GPS system and so therefore needed a passenger to direct him at all times, but they had to sit in the passenger seat so he could hear them over the AC sputtering out. He didn't bother to fill up at one of the gas stations we stopped at for a bathroom break, so instead we had to take a detour into Rock Falls so he could fill up which put us about 45 minutes behind schedule. He spent the entire time saying how we had to hurry and get out of Rock Falls but then proceeded to take half an hour to buy snacks while we all waited outside the station since we weren't allowed on the bus while he filled up. Less than 8 days you pay 100% And you have to tip the driver or they charge you $100... sounds pretty shady to me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! For the amount of money we were charged we had a terrible experience for our bus trip to the Cubs Cards game on July 26th 2014. The "bus" we were sent was not what we had been promised, it was too small, dirty, old, and broke down. We didn't even have enough seats for everyone that paid to ride the bus. People had to sit on coolers. There was no AC until over an hour into the trip when one of our passengers did something to fix it a little bit so that it would kick on at random intervals making terrible loud noises. The door didn't close all the way and the "party lights" were falling out of the ceiling; not to mention there was a hole in the ceiling in the front corner of the bus. The tires were bald and going flat, they could have blown out at any time. The windshield wipers didn't work so the driver couldn't see very well to drive and a member of our party had to purchase windshield wiper fluid for the driver. The driver was not provided with a GPS system or directions to the destination; therefore, a member of our group had to sit up in the front seat and be with the driver constantly directing him so he wouldn't get us lost. At all times at least one person was missing out on the fun of being with the group to assist the driver. The radio couldn't be turned up loud enough to be heard in the back because it would shut off every time it was turned up over 29. The bus was not fueled before we left town so we had to stop and take time to do that. We also had to stop again on the way home and the van engine wasn't wanting to turn over and start. The experience we had was not what we paid for or were promised, this was not a party bus or a bus at all., for that matter. Would NOT recommend this company to anyone. read more

Worst bus experience ever. Set up to have a BUS take us up to Chicago and back for the Cubs Cards game on July 26th 2014. For a good chunk of money. The bus was not what we agreed upon. What showed up was a broke down ghetto van that did not fit the 21 people we had. The bus was falling apart as we drove there and back. The air conditioning did not work which myself and the owner agreed upon. When it would kick on it would make a terrible cranking sound and leak. The door didn't even close all the way while we drove. The "lights" were falling out of the ceiling. The tires were incredibly bald. The windshield wipers didn't work. We had to buy windshield wiper fluid for the driver. The company did not provide the bus driver with the appropriate equipment to make a drive like this, such as a GPS, so one of us had to constantly be with him babysitting to make sure he would take the right turns. Not very party like. The volume for music couldn't be louder than 29 (which is not very loud) or it would kick off. Again not very party like. The passenger side seatbelt didn't work. The list goes on and on. I would not recommend this company to anyone. read more

If you are thinking of a party bus for your occasion, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD LOOK ELSEWHERE!!!!!!! Two years in a row we have had this company back out on us less than a week in advance. Last year, we ordered a bus for my buddy's birthday, and they called the day of to say the driver was going to be like and hour late so we had to back it up. Whatever, no biggie. Then like an hour and a half before the bus was due to show up, we got another call saying that the bus hit a deer and we weren't able to have the bus. Again, stuff happens, but it sucked being hung out to dry. Fast forward to this year, and we gave them another try because they gave us a $50 discount because of the incident last year. Just days before the party bus was supposed to happen they called and said that they wouldn't have a bus for us because it broke down or something the weekend before. Again not really their fault, but the unreliability and lack of any real accountability from this company is really unfortunate. Luckily, we were able to find a replacement bus in time this year so the party can go on. read more

My stepson who is in Iowa filming a movie, booked one of these buses for his crew. They had a great time until the bus dropped them off, took off with all of their belongings and is now blackmailing them to get their stuff back. They were told drugs were found which is absolutely ridiculous! They had camera equipment along with personal items which are now gone. Police have been contacted. Make sure you check out the outcome in the local police blotter. Take a pass on this outfit unless you want major headaches. read more

I honestly thought the "owner" of this place was drunk when I talked to him on the phone. Terrible customer service in every aspect. It is a shame that a person who could be so helpful to my wedding guests and our big day, was so extremely rude. I would have personally made this event worth his company's while. His loss. This company is awful! I asked questions and told them I didn't want a party bus for my daughters wedding because I thought that would be trashy at the church. Guess what shows up! Then they call me they day of to tell me they need to be done with us by a certain time. Not my issue if they didn't time their bookings correctly. Then the ac on the bus wasn't on but the windows were down, not cool for a wedding party, and the radio didn't work. They had to use my daughters phone for music. The "owner" / "manager" or whatever he is, was awful to communicate with. Hard to get ahold of, not timely in returning calls, had to text him repeatedly trying to get information. Then when I complain after the fact he tells me I shouldn't have used the bus.....so what at that point should I have done? Leave a wedding party with no transportation? He then proceeds to berate me for not spending enough money on what I should have rented. Maybe if he would have communicated prior to the event I could have better understood the product offered. I asked repeatedly for a picture and never received one. I didn't really expect a refund but an apology would have been nice instead of him arguing with me. Plenty of other choices out there in the QC area so don't use this company!!! read more

On July 26th took a party bus to a cubs game and was the worst bus possible for that kind of trip. When the bus picked up the second group we had to fuel up which put us back even farther. The bus looked very ghetto, it would take about 3 times to start the bus, the air didn't work until my boyfriend fixes it after we made another stop. The bus driver didn't know where he was going so someone had to constantly tell him where to go so we didn't get lost. The bus was to small for our group so someone had to sit by the driver at all times. After the game we had yo walk to bus because he didn't get a ticket to pick us at the stadium which we had pregnant girl who had to walk a long way in the heat. We stopped for two bathroom breaks and which we told him to fuel up while we were all inside he refused, so which we had to make a third stop which was unnecessary. The CD player only played half the time if the music was a normal level. The windshield wipers didn't work had to give the driver a rag so he could wipe the window to see where he was going. This company is lucky we made the best out a bad situation and for what we paid should have gotten a WAY better bus!! Would not recommend this company! read more

If there was a negative star on the rating scale I would have selected that option. DO NOT BOOK! I booked for my bacholorette party excited at the thought of a nice and fun evening. Booked with a specific time limit b/c the winery tour had to be done with in a certain time frame. Unfortunately the radio went out and the bus driver had to turn around to get fixexd. ETA 50 minutes (30 - 45 minutes late no big deal) HOWEVER, showing up almost 2 hours late is. Even at 2hours late we made the decision to hit 1 winery not two and make the most of the time we had. Unreasonable to think that we would get offered a discount greater then $50 off when the original price is $600? I don't think so. Apparently the owners thought it was. Only a $50 discount was offered. When I refused to pay but offered to pay less I was told by the owner that there is no way he is giving me a free bus and to send his bus home. That price would only cover his fuel and driver. I understand that things happen that are out of your control however as a business owner it is your obligation to deliver on what is promised and if you can not you need to do everything in your power to weigh all options and get what the customer is expecting. If anything good customer service. What if this had been my wedding day not just my bachelorette? We had a contract in which i had 5 hours from 5:15-10:15. When told that in the contract it says we get extra time at the end of the night if the bus is late due to mechanical issues I asked how will that helps? Are these buses not checked over prior to leaving the bus garage? I had booked for specific time b/c of the specific places we are going. To top it off when i booked 2 weeks ago there were 8 buses left? Send another bus perhaps? Again, as a business owner all options should be weighed and YOU should be on the phone apologizing not your first time bus driver. And speaking of the bus; IT WAS HORRIBLE, looked horrible, uncomfortable for the few just sitting and waiting, and the exhaust fumes were uncontrolled. Save yourself the headache and go with someone who actually does care more about the customer and event then their ego. Side Note: we did tip the driver as I am afraid his boss would find a way not to pay him. read more
