Ambiance is great, they have plenty of comfortable seating. The device was quick and efficient, you could be in and out in 15 minutes if you just get 1 cocktail. Was in the area for an appointment and decided to check this restaurant out for lunch. Mahi B is amazing! His service was a 15/10. He was attentive, gave good recommendations, friendly and made sure I had a great dining experience. I opted for the power lunch which can be a two or three course meal. I love dessert so I went with the 3 course. Mahi recommended I try the cauliflower soup and I'm so glad he did. It was DELICIOUS. The texture and flavor were both on point. I never had cauliflower soup before (or knew that it existed) so I was nervous but I'm glad I tried it. The soup was so filling that I couldn't finish the burger and fries and had to take it with me. The apple cobbler was also really good. I was so full and happy. The ambience is everything. So clean, nice furniture, and plenty of seating. It's definitely a place where you can unwind, relax as well as work. The restroom area is very clean and I totally forgot to get the name of the candle that was burning because I need that in my home. I'll definitely be back soon. read more

Came here for pre-dinner drinks for my birthday with a friend. The ambiance itself is both elegant yet cozy. It feels very warm and welcoming while still maintaining and upscale feel. We were seated at a table near the window and ordered the charcuterie board which came with bread. Unfortunately have to give this bar one star. There are some helpful bartenders and managers but there is a bartender named "Catalina" that is an extremely rude woman and there often. She only attends to her friends at the bar and ignores other customers (even when the bar is very empty). Because the tip is automatically added, I suspect she does not think she has to provide good service. Would avoid this place if she is working / behind the bar. There are lots of other places to go to very close to the Ritz that have appropriate and respectful bartenders and servers at bar / restaurant. read more

This is a beautiful bar and restaurant. This is my second visit but I somehow forgot to leave a review the first time. I stayed at the hotel with friends for a girl's DC weekend in 2018 and we came to the bar for some light snacks, drinks, and dessert one night. Recently, while in town for the weekend, came in for coffee and saw that it was very crowded at around 9-10pm with standing room only at the bar and the bar was very booked. A friendly bar tender quickly greeted us, took our coffee orders and promptly made us fresh coffee and lattes. She was so friendly and helpful that I was shocked. Typically, bar tenders are harried and unfriendly, even more so if you order coffee and not alcohol, but she was a sweetheart! Very pleasant experience, great menu, and beautiful decor and vibes here. It's a lovely spot to meet friends and hang out. This is a go to spot in DC. IF: you love a good real old fashioned or Manhattan, you don't mind some older individuals, it's after 5, you are willing to pay for the cocktail experience. They also have a whole host of innovative new cocktails too, and FOOD! I love a well crafted old fashioned and I can always get one here and the ambiance is great (usually). The biggest downside is when it gets too packed and people are drunk and sometimes get sloppy dancing to music that's not playing or in places that are not designed for dancing. Lol. read more

My absolute favorite place. Drinks are out of this world good in terms looks and taste. Drawback is it'll cost you about $24 per drink. Food: good. Cheese board comes with bread not cracker, was also good. But not the best combo I tried. Live music is super fun. It is a very small and intimate venue. I like that kind of set-up. Located in the Ritz Carlson, it is a very high end place. Love it here. Very old folks frequent here. I just simply don't care about other patrons, I come here with my own friends for their great drinks and music. They close super early. By 11 pm, everyone will be gone even on saturday. read more

I visited for afternoon tea on a Sunday. What I loved most was the setting, ambiance, music, etc. I'm an avid tea lover and I've done afternoon tea here, London, Paris, and other areas. While the ambience and setting were great, the tower of bites and finger foods was a but underwhelming. Terribly small and didn't include traditional scones nor clotted cream. In Quadrant's defense, it's not promoted as a traditional tea but still. And while there were black teas to choose from, I was surprised that no Earl Grey was offered. The teaware was absolutely gorgeous! The teas I did select one of which was a caramel, were delicious. The fireplace coupled with the music could make one zone out which I did and finished almost half of the book presently reading. It is a nice way to spend a Sunday and set a relaxing tone to start the week. The service was attentive, the Manager came over and checked on me and Elana was SUPERB and so terribly sweet! What I didn't like was the lack of transparency re: the champagne being an additional charge. Anyplace I've had tea previously, 1 flute of champagne is typically included. I assumed. It was offered and no-one said otherwise. I didn't realize until the bill came. Had I known I might've opted for a cocktail instead as the champagne wasn't even that good. I later found that I could've actually ordered from the cocktail bar which has a separate menu but no-one stated nor offered. Additionally upon getting the bill, a 22% service charge was included also never mentioned. DC actually requires establishments to divulge. My being able to pay was not the issue simply that it wasn't communicated. Additionally when I parked, I was told by the valet that Quadrant validates. Uh no, so upon leaving that was an additional $40. So although the tea was good, not the best experience. I left with a rather bad taste in my my mouth after all was said and done. I was glad mostly that I had time to deep dive into my book but the experience overall considering the expense, is not one that I'd do again particularly when there are other teas in the city, that are nicer and more reasonable. This was more one and done. I expected better considering Quadrant is located in the Ritz. I was just at the Ritz in NY and visited a Jose Andres concept and the experience was STELLAR! I'm big on if there is gonna be this type of significant cost, the experience needs to live up to it and Quadrant did not unfortunately. read more

Service:We arrived for tea and were reminded we had 1.5 hours. It was a cute room and tables had nice linen and crockery.Before offering, "flat, still, or sparkling water," he reminded us again that we had to be done in 1.5 hours.We ordered "flat" water, figuring it was just regular old tap water. When we got the bill it was $9. We never saw the bottle again after the pour. After ordering our tea, we were offered a glass of champagne. I should have asked the price. The tea was $80 per person. The champagne showed up on the bill at $45 per glass. As time drew closer to the 1.5 hour time limit, the lights were repeatedly dimmed and the room got progressively darker.I should have asked for a candle to sign the bill. Food: Where to start? The food arrived before the tea. It is evident that no one at the Ritz Carlton has travelled to the country where tea originated. We were spared tea bags, but the "scones" were dry and the savory salmon choux buns were topped with sweet cripsy craquelin. There was one teaspoon of cream and jam to be split among four "scones." The "jam" was orange marmalade?!?!?! Come on. DO NOT waste your money on this. An assortment of tasteless baked goods piled on a pretty plate does not make a "tea." read more

On a recent visit to DC met two colleagues here for a late breakfast. The Quadrant is a very comfortable room - worthy of the Ritz Carlton. For both privacy and safety (hey - Covid is still out there, folks) we requested - and received - a table far away from proximity to any other tables. Service was fast and friendly. I had a veggie omelet with cheese, orange juice and coffee - standard fare that did not disappoint. We found the prices reasonable for a hotel restaurant in DC. Having not returned here for lunch, dinner or drinks, I can only recommend it as a nice, comfortable place for breakfast. read more

I came here last weekend with my friend to catch up on life and enjoy a nice cocktail. This was my 1st time coming here and I really liked the dark, victorian style decor, chandeliers and libations we had! There were so many options with quirky names like the "toasted professor" and other names relating to the District on the menu I was a bit overwhelmed at first lol. Unfortunately the 1st two I chose and one that my friend chose were unavailable due to a seasonal change of menu going into the fall/winter options and ending the summer tropic options. It was okay because the waiter/bartender presented the option of a smoked manhattan drink in which he made right in front of us. It was a blow torch fired on a slate then a glass cup covered over it to get it nice and smoky and then he flipped it over and poured the drink into the glass and served it with an orange peel and black cherries. We definitely started a trend I think because all of a sudden every party around us started getting the same Lmaooo. It was funny. We laughed so much and really enjoyed this drink and our giant plate of truffle butter popcorn that tasted so good. I definitely plan to make a stop back here sometime when I get back to DC to see what new options they are rolling out! read more

Quadrant reflects the quality, ambiance, service, experience -- and prices you would expect from the Ritz. At $16-30 a cocktail, it's certainly not the cheapest place in town, but the drinks were well crafted and you feel like you are getting quality and a good experience for the price (unlike some trendy cocktail lounges in DC with less ambiance or skilled bartenders). I had the very dramatic smoked old fashioned. I was confused when the bartender came back with a wooden board and a match, but it's part of the show (the smoke from the board adds to the flavor of the drink. I also got the cheese board which was 100% worth the $20 pricetag. The design of the logo (the quadrant) may be laughable to people who live in DC (Southwest is as large as Northwest?!) and I actually delayed stopping in here based on that alone (snob), but they make up for it with the extensive drink menu with interesting facts about the city and U.S. presidents. In fact, the menu was so fun to flip through, my date kept asking when I was going to put it down and order! In short, it's a great place to stop by for a sophisticated cocktail or two to enjoy the romantic atmosphere. read more

Dirty tables, absence of any wine selection, selling fillet for steak frites. Extremely poor and reluctant service. It has been impossible to reach anyone to relay this experience to ANYONE - whether it is in the restaurant or with the Seven Reasons Restaurant Group or the management at @Imperfecto. I went around 4pm on a Saturday. Just to preface....I was trying to beat the rain storm that had been forecast and I did! I was greeted warmly through the Ritz Carlton entrance and directed to the Quadrant as the Westend Restaurant was not ready for dinner service yet. When I walked in, I must say I really loved the ambience, the decor is calm, cool and collected. Loved the couches, the blues, reds and grays, and then the fireplace, I chose to sit at the bar, and honestly didn't plan to have more than a drink. The bartending staff were exceptional. The drink menu is extensive so the bartender had mercy on me and asked me my drink preferences, once I relayed them to him (Strong/Tequila/Thank You), he went on to suggest a specialty drink that they make. Now, I don't know what it was called but it was basically a margarita served in a green bell pepper that was infused with jalapeño, combined with crushed ice and topped with a cube of honeycomb to mellow the spice. When I tell you that that had to be one of the best drinks I've ever had in my life, I am telling you the truth. I like spice, so this was right up my alley, my chest was hot and clear! There was another guest that was so intrigued by the presentation of my drink that she also ordered one. I asked her if she enjoyed hers and she said emphatically yes! So, highly recommend! I did not have any food. I probably should have eaten the green pepper, so I can't speak on that, but if you are looking for a sexy little cozy spot, something that seems like it would have inspired a mention in a novel then I would definitely go here. read more

Quadrant: "It's more than a lounge, it's an experience" I swung by randomly one night after work with my team, so we didn't have any reservations for our large group (15 people) but they accommodated, which I find a rare trait in DC restaurants these days. The entrance was tough to find, I found myself trying to go through the West End Bistro doors- wrong, Equinox doors- also wrong, and finally the Ritz entrance to get to this place. This place has a cool vibe, very "modern library" type of feel. One of those places that has please-don't-touch-or-sit signs everywhere. We sat down and were quickly given menus. I have to say, along with any Ritz location you go to, the staff is amazing. We ordered our drinks any he would constantly check in and refill our waters. At one point in the night, our group got smaller so we all sat at one table, the staff was quick to accommodate. We also kept ordering off the dinner menu, which was more like apps and at one point we really wanted something a bit heavier and asked if there was anything else we could order. He asked us if we were staying in the hotel, which we weren't, but let us order off of the room service menu. This was a plus. I can't speak for the drink, I hear they have a great mixologist on the team and I hope to return to check that out, but as for the food and experience it was great. I recommend checking this place out, it doesn't seem like it gets jam packed after work ours which does make it a nice place to lounge with the Ritz experience. read more
