Fabbbbbbukous place for dinner and drinks with a "vue" :) I went with a friend who was visiting from out of town. Parking was a little bit of a hassle, but we were able to get to our reservation on time and get seated. The wait for our server was a little longer than I would have anticipated, but just taking in the fabulous panoramic DC views was awesome! The drinks were on point and the ambience was really cool - diverse enough with age groups but casual semi formal attire. They had low Music, and it was a fabulous vibe. I was a little disappointed on the limited vegetarian options, however, the gnocchi was good. Highly recommend those place! You will not be disappointed on a more high scale dinner date experience!

We came here to celebrate my husband's FBI academy graduation. He made reservations for 6:30p so we could see the sunset. We were seated right at the window and they opened the panels so we could look out. Drink and food menus were promptly provided. I had the crab cake and my husband had the burger. Both were wonderful! We enjoyed looking out at the monuments and White House as the sun set. Beautiful venue and vibes were great!

We came for drinks before our dinner and had a fun time! I would definitely recommend making reservations, we lucked out and found a spot at the bar! Drinks were expensive, 2 drinks (Hugo spritz and espresso martini for $73 with tip... aside from the drinks the view was pretty cool!

Lamb chops delicious. My husband ate this.

Food was awesome, dessert delicious!!! The ambiance is great and the staff is great. I recommend the Chardonnay if there are white wine drinkers out there. Will ho again. Our waiter Carlos R was great!!!!

This is a super pretty rooftop with a nice view. It wasn't too cold for a rooftop either which was nice. The food and drinks were pretty good as well. I got a burrata appetizer and it was decent. The pasta I got had lots of vegetables but it could've had more flavor too. The drink I got was pretty strong. The prices here are high for sure but that was expected.

If you want to sip a drink while staring straight at the power center of the free world, pull up a chair at VUE Rooftop. This place sits on the rooftop of the historic Hotel Washington, just steps from the White House, and the view is the kind that makes you pause mid-sip and say, "Well I'll be damned." From up there you can see the Washington Monument poking into the sky and the city lights stretching across the capital like somebody spilled a box of diamonds. It's a hip, stylish rooftop where anniversaries turn into celebrations and casual drinks turn into "one more round because the view is too good to leave." Now let's talk about the booze because this place doesn't play around. One standout cocktail is "Power to the Peaches," a smooth little troublemaker made with Grey Goose Essences vodka, honey, chamomile, lemon, and a splash of citrus liqueur that goes down so easy you'll be ordering another before the first sunset photo hits your phone. The menu is full of cleverly named drinks and upscale bites, but the real star is the experience: music humming, glasses clinking, and the kind of skyline view that makes you feel like you accidentally wandered into a party thrown by senators and movie stars. If you're celebrating something big or just celebrating being alive with a drink in your hand this rooftop doesn't disappoint.

We enjoyed dinner here Valentine's weekend and had a wonderful experience overall. The service was excellent--attentive, friendly, and made us feel well taken care of from start to finish. Since it was a holiday, the menu was limited with fewer options, but everything we had was enjoyable and well prepared. The atmosphere was perfect for the occasion and added to the overall experience. Would recommend visiting during a clear night because the views are spectacular.

The food here was amazing and the views of the White House are tough to top. The staff was well versed in the menu and made excellent recommendations for us.

Absolutely gorgeous view. The service was great and immediate. The food was fresh and delicious. All great variety! Definitely a place to be in DC.

Highly recommended by a local; this hip bar is located within Hotel Washington, steps away from DC landmarks, specifically the White House! The hotel lobby is beautiful with lots of uplighting and marble and beautiful tile throughout . We stopped by for drinks so we found seating along the windows with a direct view of the city scape and White House! The windows are operable so we enjoyed the cool March breeze and city lights! This place is a must visit for millions of dollar views of the city landmarks! We are visiting from Las Vegas and were shocked by the overpriced cocktails, I suppose this is the cost of a beautiful venue with expansive views of DC! Tip- this trendy spot is very very busy. If you need a table, be sure to reserve in advance, otherwise seating along the windows and bar are first come first serve.

ONE OF MY LEAST FAVORITE PLACES. Host - terrible long wait no point of reservations waited almost an hour in a Monday night. Reservation was set for 6:40 didn't get seated until 7:35pm Menu- very very limited ! Not vegetarian friendly and honestly the options suck. It doesn't seem like this establishment has a significant word of mouth about anything outside of the view downtown dc. As a native I would not rate this place a native friendly maybe a spot to visit if you're visiting DC but their restaurant does not represent anything about DC. I was so unhappy I didn't even order an entree which was the main goal of coming. Left still hungry. A bill of $100 for lemonade, Shirley temple and 2 apps is absolutely ridiculous. The lemonade was not good for mention. In addition there is no street parking, i advise the garage. I do not plan to visit Vue again.

    Birthday dessert - so cute

This restaurant is atop the hotel and highly recommend reservations on open table esp if you would like seating by the window- but be aware several people will come to take photos next to your table throughout your dining. Appreciated the food and drink quality and selection options. Took my daughter to celebrate her 21st so she could get all the photos of the background and cute drinks. Didn't disappoint but also expect DC prices ie $20+ per cocktail. We enjoyed the evening and it is a short walk from metro! Restaurant staff super attentive and hospitable. Would come again esp with out-of-town family for the experience and views.

-------------------- Important Please Read -------------------- Friday, June 19th, 2026 If I could give either a ZERO-star rating or a NEGATIVE-five-star rating for both SERVICE and ATMOSPHERE, I would do so. On Friday, June 19th, 2026, from 6:15 PM to 8:50 PM Eastern Time, a dining party of four friends had dinner that was coordinated with a dinner reservation at Vue Rooftop Restaurant 515 15th Street NW Washington, DC 20004 (202) 661-2400 Each of our dining party of four friends averaged a dining tab of $200 apiece following alcoholic drinks, appetizers, entrees, and desserts, for a total dinner tab of an average of $800. At roughly 8:50 PM, our waiter asked if any of our dining party of four would like to order anything further, and we all declined. HOWEVER, we did ask our waiter what time was the live DJ going to start playing music. Our waiter informed our dining party of four that the live DJ would start playing music at 9:00 PM, which, at that point, was only 10 minutes away. After we paid our dining tab, our dining party moved to an empty table that was situated closer to where the live DJ was going to start playing music, given that we planned to dance once the DJ's music started. Suddenly, the Vue Rooftop Restaurant maitre d' on duty told us that our "TME HAD EXPERIED,," and indicated that we could not stay at our table to which we had relocated. When we asked the maitre d' on duty could we move back to our original table, the maitre d' on duty again told our dinner party that our "TIME HAD EXPIRED " and the maitre d' on duty escorted our dining party past the maitre d' station, and in the direction of the elevators that would take us away from the Vue Rooftop Restaurant dining and bar area. The maitre d' did not even tell our dining party that we were welcome to find available seating at the bar area -- the maitre d' escorted us past the maitre d' station and towards the direction of the elevators to leave the restaurant. We complained about that treatment to a number of restaurant associates who were standing around the maitre d' station, we mentioned how much we had spent, and we concluded that we would be sure to leave multiple reviews about our very rude experience shown to us by the maitre d' on duty. With that comment concerning all of our intent to leave negative Google Reviews concerning our experience at the Vue Rooftop Restaurant in Washington, DC, the Vue Rooftop Restaurant maitre d' on duty chose to confront our dining party who were waiting to take the elevator off of the restaurant level, and the maitre d' began to argue with us all as we waited for our elevator ride. As an indication of the VERACITY of my negative Yelp Review concerning our poor and unexceptable experience at the Rooftop Restaurant in Washington, DC on Friday, June 19th, 2026, I am affixing my name and my phone number to this Google Review. I absolutely DO NOT RECOMMEND any potential restaurant customers to neither frequent nor spend any hard-earned money at the Vue Rooftop Restaurant 515 15th Street NW Washington, DC 20004 (202) 661-2400 Sincerely, Myron Wong Unsatisfied Restaurant Customer (586) 214-6612 myron.wong.army@gmail.com https://www.linkedin.com/in/myronfwong US Army Master Sergeant Paygrade E-8 (Retired) Federal Civil Service Deputy Director Paygrade GS-15 (Retired) 90% Service-Connected Disabled Veteran

Where this place falls flat for me is the food. We went for brunch so I'm not sure what their lunch and dinner menu looked like but I had their chicken and waffles. Typically, I'm used to having this dish with just chicken on top of a waffle with a side of syrup that you can pour over. This dish was drenched with a sauce that wasn't syrup but still sort of sweet? It wasn't necessarily *bad*, it's just that I wasn't expecting it. I ordered the beet salad and truffle fries. The food was good but certainly not worth the price.
