Amazing course at an amazing value. Course is incredibly well maintained and the staff is very friendly. This is a must play course that will challenge you every step of the way, but also is playable for golfers of all skill levels. Driving range, putting area, and course all great

Nice enough coarse. Second time in afternoon got behind a 5 some with no intention of letting a play through.

Nice enough course however $65 is a way over the top when you can play Sanford and Carolina Lakes for half that price.

Newly redone with new owners. New greens, new fairways and tees. Totally new course. No better value anywhere.

The worst golf course in North Carolina, and possibly the universe. Come here if you want to have an awful time, under awful conditions.

Even though it's not the closest course, it is one I can count on being in good shape if we've had some rain.

Wow. Great golf. Great Staff all around wonderful place to play. This place definitely takes after…read moreit's name "The Challenge". I have only played at this course one time. However, it was definitely a struggle. However, I'd like to add I am fairly new to golf. The greens were well taken care of and so are the fairways. This place can be a little on the pricier side, but you definitely pay for the quality of the course! Draft beer available and great food as well! If you've got the money and the time go check out The Challenge!

I am 78 years old and still blessed to be healthy enough to walk 18 holes most days. That day was extremely hot and humid, mid 90's with high humidity. There are no water coolers on the golf course so I carried a bottle of water with me. I came in at the turn and mentioned to the pro shop attendant that it was tough that day and some water on the course would be helpful. He was very understanding and said he would pass the information on. I refilled my bottle and actually got a second one to carry. I got dehydrated on the back nine and actually felt some dizziness. I came back by the pro shop after my round and again mentioned the need for water on the course. The pro shop attendant again was very sympathetic. There was another person behind the counter at the time (I later found out was the head pro) who spoke up and said "we will never have water coolers on this course, they are unsanitary and we have a refreshment cart going around that you could have purchased water from". I told him we saw the refreshment cart one time all day, on our 11th hole right after I had restocked at the turn. His response was "I guess you should have carried more water with you". This kind of customer service is totally not acceptable and left me with a very bad overall feeling about The Challenge. I will continue playing there occasionally as my regular traveling group goes there a few times a year, but the head pro needs to get some training in customer service.

The course was a combination of Poa Annua and 417 hybrid Bermuda. It appears the greens keeper is trying to rid the Poa Annua but is not making progress on the greens. The fairways are not getting water and are bare with sparse growth ... that leads to the next problem .. One thing is that the greens are all very sloped. Combined with firmness (a strategy to prevent lingering ball marks ) and speed along with holes placed on 4 degree slopes and you have the worst "miniature golf " nightmare you can imagine. With wind it was a replay of the 2004 US Open at Shinnecock. With One putt, I barely missed the putt on the high side. Once the ball stopped -- the wind started it rolling .. rolling until off the green. I very lightly tapped a 3 footer that rolled 18' to the low side of the hole. Now imagine hitting irons from sparsely covered fairways with bare spots and getting little backspin to stop an approach shot. This all resulted in A very frustrating day. I have no doubt the new ownership will bring this Pinehurst course to playable conditions; however, right now Spring 2025 it is not a playable course.

We were looking for an affordable public course but it isnt worth 35$. Good layout and a lot of potential however.
