Maybe the only thing that's changed is the window of time that the lake is full in the Summer, but that's a small trade off. Ray, the camp host, is a kind and wonderfully hospitable man. Having no wifi was actually a positive since you can go off the grid while you're here and center yourself. The cabins had beds with no sheets, a fridge, oven, dining table, and bathroom with a shower and toilet. Simple but everything you need. The pool and hot tub had ducks swimming in it, so they were unusable. The basketball hoops and ping pong tables were fun to use.

Turn right when u see the big sign for Campground, why I went to the Dead End doesn't make sense. Our site was #21 with a freakin long driveway, so had to back up straight every time I left camp site. It has a table and fire pit, no bear bins in the campground so everything stays in the car, annoying. Bathrooms: 3 unisex, flushed toilets, sink w/ water, No Soap so bring your own. There is light in the bathroom and outside. Trash can - next to our camp site and drinking water was across from our site. Bathroom we had to hike up & down the hill every time we used it. Was an ok campground, nothing special. Cost: $8 reservation fee, $25per night. Was $57.99 for 2 nights.

We went in March when the weather was unusually warm this year and the water was f l o w i n g. There isnt much tree cover as there used to be after the fires in this area, so if you're coming on a sunny day, be well prepared with sun protection and water. The majority of the hike is uncovered if you start after the morning hours. Parking lot is decent sized, on the day we came there were hardly any cars at 9am, but we saw more people when we finished around 1pm. There's also vault toilets at the trailhead

It's an amazing, natural and private environment. The short walk from the campground is beautiful well-kept and well-lit with small lights in the bushes next to the trail. The Hot Springs are clean, beautiful and relaxing. I love the location right on the river as we spent one afternoon soaking in the hot interspersed with cold dips in the river. The kids loved floating down the river through the small Rapids and getting out at the Hot Springs where they could warm up for a couple minutes before repeating the process! Be sure to make reservations ahead of time. The proprietor is very responsive via text.
