Today, my son called me from the side of the road and told me that the car started smoking through the vents and all of the lights on the dash were on. He opened the hood, and there wasn't any kind of smoke, but the car would not start. I instructed him to call the tow truck that came with our warranty that I purchased through my credit union. Then, I called Amelia Auto Mart to let them know the tow would be coming there so they weren't surprised. The surprise was on me! Brandon went TO my son (about 10 miles away--something like that), drove my son to school so he wouldn't be any later, checked the car and noticed some hoses had come out of place, fixed them, test drove the car, and parked it in a safe parking lot close by for my son to get later. He then called me to tell me all was well. I am beyond grateful that he went above the call of duty and ensured my son's safety. My guess is that the hoses came out of place on a very Dukes of Hazzard like jump that you have to go over when you cross the main road (A1A). Dang construction... I thought nothing could surprise me about this wonderful company until today.

I spoke with Jonathan and he is friendly and knowledgeable as ever. I stated that I needed to get a major factory service maintenance done but I also wanted to get a few other big ticket items done. He wrote up a quote and texted it to me within the hour. I was able to text Jonathan back and confirm an appointment. Since the service was going to take all day I inquired about utilizing the shuttle back home. Jonathan let me know that they offer a service where they're able to pick up my car and deliver it upon completion. As a parent, not having to load up the car to spend hours at the mechanic is a blessing. Fast forward to service day and Elliot picked up the car promptly. Later that afternoon I get a text showing their inspection report with PICTURES taken of OEM items used, air filters, tire levels, brake pad levels, etc. Talk about TRANSPARENCY. Kudos to Royalty Auto Service. I've never had a dealership or mechanic do that. So amazing job! Once service was completed I got a call to schedule payment and for vehicle drop off. Paid my invoice online and 20 mins later my car is being backed up into my driveway. I didn't get the name of the amazing young lady (sorry) but she was amazing. My neighbor recommended them highly as he takes his vehicles there so I thought I'd give them a shot. My initial contacts were with Jonathan and Jim. Jonathan told me that they would do an inspection of the vehicle to determine what kind of service may be necessary besides what I brought the car in for. To my amazing surprise they did a full nose to tail inspection of my vehicle with detailed photos and suggestions for maintenance and must do servicing. I dropped off my car and got a ride back to my home by a young lady by the name of Carrie and a young man named Elliot. My experience to that point was incredibly positive as they were all very professional and thorough. Both Chris and Jonathan kept me posted as we went along as to the status. I picked up my car once completed, and the car was completely cleaned throughout. It he rose on the dash was a nice touch of class. The moral to the story is you get what you pay for. They all obviously take pride in the customer and mechanical service that they offer and the car is perfect. I couldn't be more satisfied and will bring it back to them for future services. Since it was last serviced by My MB dealer, I put a total of 3,600 miles on the car. Since I have been working from home, I have not been doing a lot of driving. Several days after arrival, I noticed an irregular vibration coming from the engine while at a red light and the check engine light went on. When speaking with friends and neighbors, they all indicated that if I wanted to get the car serviced on the island I should go see the Corbin's. Corbin's specialty is European built cars and they will get to the bottom of whatever is wrong and fix it. I went down on Monday morning and arrived just before 8:00 am, the listed time the business opened. Needles to say, upon arrival it appeared as if they had been open for hours and the mechanics seemed to be elbow deep in their work. So much for hoping to get the car looked at before the action started! I went into the office and detailed for Mrs. Corbin what I saw as the issue. I was advised that their business was primarily by appointment and at the present time they were down one service technician. I was offered an appointment for Wednesday morning at 8:00. When I brought the car in, I also requested that they order a replacement rear windshield wiper which had gone missing. In talking to one of the mechanics, he noticed the car was indicating the key fob battery needed to be replaced and said he would take care of that as well. When I returned later, I was told the engine was fine, it only required an adjustment of a setting. They replaced the battery in the key fob as indicated. I was told the wiper parts had not come, but they would have it in a day or two. When I had asked for a bill, I was told not to worry about it, it was nothing! Besides, they knew I was coming back for the wiper and I could pay for the wiper at that time. Sure enough, I went back two days later, late in the afternoon and the part was available and installed in 15 minutes! I have always had my cars serviced by the dealer, so this was a new experience. The Corbin's did a great job and solved my problem. More import, I was left feeling confident everything was back in good order. As I am intending to relocate permanently to Amelia Island within the next 12 months; it is great to know I will have access to a knowledgeable & professional group of mechanics. Besides, I like the idea of supporting a local family owned business. So if you are in need of a mechanic on Amelia Island for your Audi, BMW or Mercedes; look no further than Corbin's Automotive.

Last month I called this place…read moreand talked to Brett to advise I have a small coolant leak, told him it was not overheating just a gradual small leak and front windshield wiper not working. He asked me to drop it off so I did on a Saturday, left keys in drop box. So I did not hear from him until the following Wednesday so when we talked he said most likely the water pump and thermostat so told him that he replaced it less than 3 years ago and after several conversations he said I had to provide proof he did work since he says to me that he has never did work on my Audi there, told him I had it there when he was buying the place from his uncle but again he says he's never touched my vehicle. So finally after a week he was able to find the receipt in his system that he did indeed do the work but says has not been able to even look at the car. So I said you are just telling me it's the water pump and thermostat without even opening the hood. So I called Audi headquarters and they told me that if those were replaced less than 3 years ago no way they could be bad so I called Brett back he said it wasn't those parts after all.Grant it now this going on the 2nd week he has had my car and hasn't even lifted the hood to diagnose it but wanted to authorize a new pump and thermostat. So then he finally calls me back to say that it's 2 hoses and waiting for Audi to send him the diagram so can order the correct hoses which are about 200.00 each so total to fix would be about 1200.00 so myself and Dan whom is my boyfriend who Brett did not like me conferencing him in the call each time we spoke so we told him to replace the hoses but Brett insisted that we put a new water pump in and new thermostat because he said he didn't like to put old parts back in BUT WE TOLD HIM VERY CLEARLY TO PUT THOSE PARTS BACK IN, IF NOT BROKEN THEN NO REASON TO REPLACE so he tells Dan he had bigger jobs he had to do first which told us that he was getting more money from those cars since would only be getting 1200.00 from us. Then Brett calls us after 3 weeks of having my car and now it would be 3700.00 that he found more issues which we knew at this point was not true so we told him to just put it back together and not do anything to it. He told us it would be 700 to put back for labor which we said fine. So when he called me back it was over 900.00 and this was on a Friday and they are closed on Saturdays so he would leave key hidden for me to pick up so I paid it over the phone. So when I went to pick it up we saw the invoice that almost 140.00 of coolant in it which we didn't authorize and the car doesn't even hold that much coolant and said no issue with windshield wiper So he got another 140.00 for overcharging for coolant and the windshield wiper still wasn't working. This guy jerked us around for 3 weeks ! Don't waste your time, I would take a car to a dealer before taking the car there!!!
