I have been a QAS customer for 10+ years. After my most recent experience I'm sorry to say, I will never return. I have used QAS for installing car alarms, car auto starts, and quite elaborate car stereo systems with a lot of custom work. In that 10+ years I have spent well over $10,000 for labor, parts and equipment. Being a return customer for many years working with mostly Johnny (the "manager"), I hoped that Johnny and the staff at QAS would help resolve any issues with professionalism and hospitality. I was sorely mistaken. Most recently I dropped off my car for a trouble shooting issue. My subwoofers were cutting out when the volume was turned up. In the end I found that this issue should have only taken about an hour to fix. Unfortunately, Johnny, Lex, and AJ did not communicate to the install/troubleshooting staff what was causing my subs to cut out. Because of their lack/miscommunication this problem took two and a half days to resolve. It was not until I asked to speak with Dave (master installer) to explain the problem so he could understand what was going on. After I spoke with Dave he was able to resolve the issue in about 40 minutes. Dave even mentioned to Johnny that he should adjust my charges for my inconvenience. That being said, Johnny did not refund the $85 charge, he would not even give me a $85 credit for future business, (which Dave mentioned that he should do), and most importantly, Johnny did not apologize for his miscommunication that he and his staff made. After having the chance to speak with Dave explaining what happened Dave was very apologetic and understanding. He dropped what he was doing to work on my car and try make everything right. Dave even APOLOGIZED FOR JOHNNY AND THE OTHER STAFF, which in the end, I would have been happy with an apology from Johnny. After everything was done, Johnny charged me $85 to retune my amp, which they installed. The worst part, Johnny, the "manager" couldn't even apologize for his or his staff's mistakes. Had Johnny just apologized for their mistakes I would consider coming back. I hope that the owners see this and understand that they have a sserious problem with their customer service. If they hope to continue with a successful business then these issues need to be addressed. If the owner would contact me I would consider working with them again... read more

I was very happy with the service, selection and price of my car stereo. I was looking for a bluetooth solution for my iPhone without getting a new deck, and the staff took the time to show me all of my options. I had two different salesmen help me, and they probably spent an hour with me, answering questions. The price was very competitive (they actually beat out Best Buy by 10%), and they had my new stereo installed while I waited in under an hour. I recently recommended this place to my friend so they can have a similar system installed in their car. This is a local business for me and they do their best to make something work well for everyone. My stereo works incredibly well. Auto technology that was unavailable when my car was manufactured in 1996 was integrated to update it to 2019 savvy! For FAR LESS dollars than I anticipated my car was re-wired, fine tuned, and set up with blue-tooth, remote start, back-up camera, Apple Play... all the convenience of newer model cars, now within the comfort of my personal classic model car. HEEEYYYYY GUESS WHAT DOESN'T WORK AGAIN. 3 YEARS IN A ROW, one of the two FOBS still screws up. 3/19/15, 11/14/15, 5/23/16 Replaced the battery with one of them and the one I have has always worked. I went down looking for a new stereo for or my truck. I worked with Lex and he answered all of my questions i had. They completed the installed and i could not be more satisfied with the install. Just put new subs, amp, hush mat, and alarm in my car and everything works great. Johnny was really helpful in showing me all of my options and we got it all done in a few days. All these people who complain about how long it takes need to understand that this kind of work is no exact science, things come up and if you have some patience they will get it done right. Had an appointment on Aug 22 to get an additional fob for my car and to have the remote start/keyless entry reprogrammed. I made this appointment two weeks in advance and was told there would be no charge because it was under warranty. When i arrived i was told that the fobs were in lakewood and it would take 2 days or I could drive out to pick them up. I received a phone call from another employee who stated it would be $444 to upgrade my system because they do not have any fobs for my car- I believe his name was Lex). This was the 3rd time I had taken the car back to get the remote start/keyless entry to work. Very dissapointed at having my time wasted and the poor customer service. I'm absolutely impressed with this place. Johnny took care of us and his staff was amazing. He saved us hundreds, and steered us clear of the crap Car Toys was trying to pull. We went to Car Toys to begin, and the sales associate there started adding more and more to our bill that we didn't need. He also started adding post-purchase bills to our total as well. He said he would charge us for all the parts and then if our radio was a jbl, we would have to pay 200 more to get the job done. He claimed there was no way to tell. I immediately suspected I was being yanked. The sales associate even told us to do the job ourselves if we don't trust him. What the hell? I called Johnny and he assured me I was being played. He told us he would beat their price and service, and he did with flying colors. To assure us before even purchasing, he was able to open the radio up and ensure us that it was not jbl after all (something car toys said wasn't possible). These guys seriously hooked my car up. I came in last Saturday to price a deck and subwoofer for my Mercedes and Daniel helped me throughout the entire process. He was extremely knowledgeable and I felt like he was giving me his honest opinion on the different pros and cons of the merchandise I was interested in. The process was seamless. I brought my car in the next morning and these guys installed everything in about 3 hours. There is a guy there named 'Daniel' that is very rude. If it was not for the fact that my son purchased an extended warranty for the items,(that have never worked correctly) I would NEVER go there because of this guys attitude. He wasted my time and my sons by repeating himself over and over and keep saying 'I would have to come in and put down a deposit' because he was incapable of finding the account. Word of mouth advertisement is something else. Beware! I suspect I will be video taping my upcoming visit with these people. No reason at all to be treated that way! None at all. "I'll take care of you Buddy" - you will hear it over and over as they continue to charge you for a product that they won't stand up for. Had an in car DVD system installed, screen went bad within a month. Told Jonny, the manager, that I was out of town and unable to bring in within 30 days. Brought unit in after 36 days, was told "I'll take care of you buddy" and after they looked at it was told it was going to be another $140. Also, during install, was told it would be done early afternoon, but was not done until end of day. After initial install, sound was horrible. I had to pay additional money to clear up sound issue. Asked if they stood by their product, Jonny told me rudely "Should have bought the warranty", while looking down at computer. Asked to speak to owner, was told by Jonny, while looking down at computer, that I could send an email to info@qualityautosound.com. Asked for Jonny's card - was told "I am all out". This is how they will take care of you. I am going to look into other reviews, as I cannot imagine someone would truly post a positive review about this company. Do not buy from this company. Look at the negative reviews first. Also, iPhone 5 cable is mysteriously missing after I chose not to pay the extra $140 to pay for product that didn't last 30 days and had them pull my truck out of shop. read more

Even after they sold me a product they mislead me about, when I tried to work it out with them they acted like they were doing me a favor by trying to upsell me $200. I had my sub,amp, and deck installed at the Colfax location. What a nightmare. They just gave me my keys and that's it. After a car wash I realized my back door was leaking . They left a screwdriver in the seal of my back door and closed it causing damage. The company took care of the problem and had it fixed promptly. When I mentioned it to the colfax store all they said was "they were sorry and sometimes they can be careless". After this mess I realized my sub was not even connected right and everything was out of tune. Terrified to return to he Colfax location I decided to go to this location on LEETSDALE. The employee Lex was extremely helpful and was able to get the crew to reconnect and retune my system. He also was also very helpful and taught me how to use my deck. Way Over Priced... Their "$1 dollar install" is a SCAM. They claim to be "The Home of the $1 Install." However they had install charges added to the rediculous qoute they gave me for just a simple system. They constantly try to sell you upgraded equipment that you don't need. I was actually going to pay them because I didn't want to deal with it. But when I went in for my appointment, they said they couldn't fit me in that day because they were already booked... Alright. Let me start with the good: The boys at Quality Auto Sound were really professional when I took my car back for a fix. They fit me in before the others waiting because I'd be quick and I was a repeat customer - who had spent a lot of money there. They also did a great job doing my install, you can't see any wires anywhere. The subs in my trunk look like they're stock! But then there's the bad. First off, before you go, make absolutely sure that the location you're going to in convenient to get to. I chose the Leetsdale location because they had the first open appointment for me even though the Lakewood location was closer. Turns out if you ever need follow-up service, you have to go back to the QAS that did the original work - it's store policy and they WON'T bend on it. So Leetsdale is a little out of the way on my Denver-to-Golden commute. They've also gotten rid of their $1 install. It only applies to CD players and alarms. And they have to cost $90 or more. They do offer to beat any competitor's advertised price, however they tend to carry different brands and models than any other store in the area. So that leads me to their prices. They're absolutely outrageous. Seriously. So yeah, I was naive in not shopping it out first, and I still don't know how their competitors rate price-wise, but overall I didn't have a bad experience at QAS. They were very professional and were very helpful in choosing the right remote start for my truck. The price I was quoted, the price I paid, was the only charges. Loved the fact that they offered lay a way. AJ is the young man that helped me told me that it was 10% down. Johnny the store manager told him it was 20%. Told them all I could do was a little more the 10%. They took care of me. I paid it off this morning and they got me right in. My system was installed in less time than they quoted. DO NOT LET THESE GUYS TOUCH YOUR VEHICLE!!! We purchased 2 remote starts for our cars. First install resulted in dash lights permanently on (ABS/ Skid Control). When we contacted store to fix, we got the run around.... "if we can prove it was them then they would fix". The vehicle is a 2014, perfect condition when we dropped off. Now, after multiple trips to Quality Auto, dealership, another auto store it has been determined that the install tech sliced a wire and for my vehicle to be restored to the it will cost $7k in parts and labor for a new wiring harness and Quality Auto Sound is denying any wrong doing. We had to pay another auto store to remove Quality's product, Quality will not refund money for item, and now we have to pay for their screw up! BUYER'S BEWARE!!!! read more

I purchased a stereo/install as a Christmas gift only to discover that the Bluetooth feature did not work, the old radio was carelessly tossed on the floor with the front panel removed, the dash wasn't re-installed correctly, the hood latch release is broken, and the climate control no linger illuminates! I will agree that you should take some time and shop prices but hey, if you don't, then you probably overpay for most things in your life. Johnny there is super knowledgable and knows his stuff. I went in there with a price in mind and there was no forced up-sale and Johnny came in under what I was expecting to pay. I was dying to get subs. I paid about 1,200 for two 12 inch kickers, an amplifier, and the hook up for the equalizer. I honestly thought they did great. I wasn't necessarily prepared for the cost, I knew it would be expensive though. All the workers are very nice. I bought the two-year warranty on them, which was about 200 I think. It was my choice to add it on. I'm not sure whose fault it is, but six months later, the speaker started making this awful loud, weird, sound randomly, even when the car was off...? It was weird, but I'm still going to go back there for all of my electronic needs. I'm going to go there and ask about the problem. I always buy things with insurance, so I'm not worried about problems here in there. read more

Don't waste your time with their incompetence. Had 4 vehicles scheduled for Viper VS4 smart start systems. Took 2 hours in person to place order. Spent 45 minutes and multiple credit card swipes to pay after first install. Also took45 minutes of troubleshooting after second install, rather than them being proactive when they had a registration error. For 3rd install they were unable to successfully complete, even though it was there all day. Asked to cancel 4th install and they refused, so now have an open dispute with my credit card company. They clearly are incompetent of working with modern technology. So after leaving vehicles for 3 consecutive days and over five hours standing in their store where time has stood still since the 70's (no cell service or hotspot for customers), I'm left with 2.5 working installs. Also now having climate control issues since they worked on my infiniti. Thanks for wasting my time. read more

Quality... I am quite sure some one will sue them for false advertising just for the name. You can't see In the shop, so you don't know how bad they are tearing your vehicle up. when you get it back (10 hrs. after a supposedly 1.5 hr. job), when you drive it down the road for the 1st. time, pumped & ready to jam, you start to notice all of the screws missing, the rattles ( when the tunes are off!) & the loose dash, console the excitement quickly disappears. So you take more time out of your day, & go back to talk to the manager- It wont happen, It took me 3 times to realize this. The best the counter guy "could do" was to give me a discount THE NEXT TIME I went in & made a purchase! Sorry, can not resolve issues from the very 1st. time I was ever in the store, they will NOT get any more of my money. read more

Unlike the other reviewers who hate this place, I'm actually a fan. Lex hooked both my husband and I up with great deals and his customer service. I was looking for a alarm system and because they dealt in Viper, I had to take a look. Lex actually set me up with a code alarm, sibling to Viper, and was able to mount the hardware higher up than normal because of my Jeep and going off roading with mud and large amounts of puddles. Of course I'll be going back to get a newer stereo system. I do though agree with Brad H in that Lex is the one you want to work with. Heck, he came from the Littleton store, yes apparently they are still opened, just to talk with my husband and I. For Denver, I'd recommend these guys where you won't get nickel and dime to death. read more

He will rip you off.He said he would hook me up and give me custom backup camera. he gave me a pos. almost had a fight with the guy. then they put a license plate camera in. worked for about 14 months then poof didn't work of course out of warranty . $450 later and now I have a paper weight. had to go to car toys and spend $312 and now I have a 5 year warranty. so be ware of quality auto clowns not in anyone's best interest to go in there. read more

Wonderful service. The team went above and beyond to ensure that I received quality service. The team member that I worked with made sure to provide a detailed line by line explanation of cost and kept me in the loop as services were being rendered. This is my second time at this particular Quality Auto Sound and I think I've found my "home." I've been to other places like Car Toys and they just don't provide the level of service that I look for when spending hundreds or even a thousand dollars or more on "toys" for my car. On a whim, I decided to replace the radio in my car and did not want to spend a lot. Even though I spent a little more than I planned for a radio in the 2nd car, I can say that I bought what I picked. I was not pressured to buy more and Ian who helped me was awesome! What a great "kid" who was patient, listened to me and what I wanted and provided great customer service. I don't even think the whole thing (purchase and install) took an hour. That alone was worth the little extra I paid. After reading some reviews, I can't say I'm not a little nervous...hoping the install was good and that I won't have any issues.
