I booked a cab to go to the airport a few days in advance. I received no confirmation text nor…read moreemail, so I called back several times to confirm. No one answered the phone. There was no voicemail and no way to leave a message. Finally, I gave up and took Uber instead. The app on Yellow Cab's website isn't working so I used the email form to tell them I wanted to cancel the cab. This was 2 hours before the scheduled trip. They turned up at my front door anyway. The driver told me he'd told me that he doesn't answer his phone after 10pm (a cab company that doesn't answer its phone at night????) and yelled at me. I asked how I am supposed to cancel if they don't answer their phone or their email or have voicemail. Then he hung up on me. This is why regular taxi customers are switching to reliably nationally managed rideshare services.

Oshkosh isn't a large city, and we have plenty of cab companies, and bar close wasn't for a number of hours. So I even thought geez, 20-25 min seems a little high, but whatever. About an hour later, a cab approaches, it isn't even our cab. Its some other company, but he says he can take us. So We took his cab, soon as we get home, I get the darling dispatcher calling me leaving me a message. (after she said she wouldn't call me when the cab arrived at my destination.) "you said you'd be watching for our cab." Next time Ill just plan to walk.
