I Said I would prefer an estimate first as I wasn't sure how long it would take to do the job and their rate is a pricy enough I need to know about how long they think the job would take before committing. The lady I was speaking with said she would get someone over to do that. Asked if they could access the back yard. I said yes. As she was talking about having the job done on Sat, I incorrectly assumed someone would show up Friday or Saturday. Didn't happen. Mon. comes. In the morning while I'm at work a man rings my doorbell, turns around and leaves standing at end of walkway for a minute (on camera). No card left or nothing. Maybe he was there for the estimate or it was something else. Don't know. It's now Tuesday afternoon and I've had no follow up at all. Not impressed with this company.

They are good about fixing leaks and their crew is always very pleasant. The reason I can't give this business 5 or even 4 stars is the lack of communication and unreliability. First we were scheduled for every third Friday of the month and Gus's crew came out regularly for our scheduled maintenance as planned. We really needed to know what day they would be coming so that we were sure to keep our dog in the house and clean up all of her dog toys. Then over time Gus start missing Fridays and would just show up on Saturday and then started missing also together and I would have to text him. After a few days I would hear from him and he would have an excuse and eventually make it out to do the maintenance. I tried to be as accommodating as possible. Then he asked if we wouldn't mind moving our regularly scheduled date to the third Saturday of every month. I said "yes" as I didn't care when they came as long as it was on a regular schedule and on an agreed upon schedule. After several months they started to miss the Saturday visits and then Gus asked to move to the third Wednesday of the month..."sure, why not"...said with a deep sigh. So now we have been on a schedule of Wednesdays since just April and that hasn't gone very well. I really like Gus and his crew but I don't want to have to continually send text messages asking when they are going to come out when they missed a scheduled yard maintenance. The final straw was this July when we were scheduled for our maintenance on the 17th and surprise surprise or should I say 'no surprise' as no one showed up. I waited a few days thinking they would just appear as they have in the past but nope! So I texted Gus the following week and no response. This past Monday I text him again and gave him two days to respond or I would find a replacement service. Crickets! Well, I do want to say that I am disappointed with this business and how it has turned out. They may no longer by in business or have experienced a personal situation that has caused them to cease operations but I would have liked to have at least been notified after having used their service all of these years.

Sunnyside is awesome. They show up like clockwork every month and every single month they do a great job. We have had them add on "extras" a few times like planting trees and plants and trimming trees. One time I hired them to plant new flowers for the season and hadn't had the time to go buy the plants. I felt horrible but I run a 24 hour service company and had been working 16 hour days. Sunnyside landscaping understood and went above and beyond for me and went and bought the plants for me! I almost cried it was such a relief. So few companies really provide great service anymore so it is a breath of fresh air when someone does.

We paid him over $16,000 as a 50% down payment to get started. That was in July of 2025. Communication started to dwindle after that. After about $8000 in supplies were delivered, (which has now sat in our driveway for months) Victor completely ghosted us for over a month. I had to find his new place of employment and speak with his boss before finally getting Victor to admit he was not going to finish the project. He also admitted he can't pay us back our money. I am in the process of hiring a lawyer to try to recover it.

He is very focused on customer satisfaction. Details: We hired Ultrascapes to build a grill island to house 2 high-end appliances. We solicited ~4 proposals from various contractors. Ultrascapes' lump-sum fee proposal was in the middle range of all proposals received; which was good for us as we don't like to select low-bid nor do we want to pay a stupid premium for the same work. We ultimately selected Ultrascapes because we felt that the owner, Ryan, seemed to grasp our vision better, was helpful in determining design & materials, and was willing to work with our budget to make our project happen. Ryan is professional, responsive, involved, and stays committed to the outcomes of the project. He maintains high standards on the quality of the finished product as if he was completing it for his own property. In terms of schedule, Ultrascapes began work a week after authorization and providing our deposit to get materials procured. They stayed onsite almost every day through completion. There were some issues during construction from decisions made by his crew, but Ryan quickly corrected those issues and kept the project schedule. Ryan would visit the site almost every day to supervise the progress and quality. Another valuable point: He didn't attempt to nickel & dime us with various small change-orders that may not have been detailed in the original scope of work; he stuck with the original vision, outcome, and lump-sum fee proposal.
