The only delay I faced was rain which is outside of his control and he was here the next day working. 4. His pricing was reasonable and did not make me wait weeks to start this project. The initial quote included a brand new irrigation system, patio and sod. Out of the three the patio is what I'm most happy with. I assumed he would level the ground before laying sod but they didn't. The grass still looked great but areas puddle when watering which is annoying. My biggest issue has been the irrigation system. I was quoted for a new irrigation system and they ended up replacing the sprinkler heads on the old system and left as is. (Which means I way overpaid for what was actually done). It took him a little over a MONTH! to install the timer. During that time I was forced to drench my grass morning and night. An hour long process everyday for a month! He did apologize and offered to mow the lawn this summer but I declined mostly because the grass needs mowing once a week and based on what I learned about him up to this point I knew I couldn't trust him to be there to get the work done. Once the timer was finally installed it worked for a week and then I noticed dry patches. I realized two sprinkler heads weren't working. I reached out to Jake and it took him another month to have it fixed. Once they finally fixed it everything seemed fine until I noticed wet patches on the rock filled area in my yard. I figured it was the longer watering periods. But over time those wet patches kept growing. I finally realized 3 days ago the irrigation system is leaking. I reached out to Jake immediately and haven't heard back after three attempts to reach him. Keep in mind it's been 6 weeks since they came to fix the sprinkler heads so for 6 weeks I've had water leaking. Now I'm out what I overpaid for the irrigation system because I'll have to hire someone else to do this right. I won't say "you get what you pay for" because Jake, while not the most expensive, he also wasn't the least expensive. I felt going with someone who quoted me somewhere in between would be my best bet, but it wasn't.

I found the broken PVC right where I instructed his worker to plant an agave fior me. When I told Isaiah's TFH Landscaping that his worker broke the sprinkler line, ISAIAHs said he would send the worker over to do the repair in a couple days which Isaias said was Tuesday, the worker never showed up. When I called him to say the worker never showed up he said he would come in a couple days and he personally will come and be there. Well Isaias never showed up. What's worse is he used to answer the phone on the first ring and was "always there for me" and even said "You know I am always here for you and I answer the phone". But after he didn't show up two times he wasn't answering the phone anymore .... ever. I left many, many messages telling Isaias I was disappointed that not only does he not show up to do the repair that his worker broke, but he deliberately is ghosting me for weeks. He sees from caller ID it is me calling for him to repair something he damaged (I sent pictures of the hacked irrigation pipe in the hole where the agave got blown outta there from the broken line), so he deliberately does not answer the phone ever again to BE THERE FOR MEEEEE, like he told me previously. That deserves 1 Yelp star. So you think I'm going to do business with him if he doesn't even answer the phone ever? Someone told me "because they don't get paid to repair their mistakes and have to take time out from already paying jobs to go to a job that doesn't pay. I never spoke to Isaias again because he didn't care to come back ad fix the broken pipe his worker hacked to pieces. That deserves 1 Yelp star don't you think? I have a new landscaper who has many solid 5 Yelp stars, and so far he has shown up every time I needed him, right on time, even when he squeezed me in. As she was talking about having the job done on Sat, I incorrectly assumed someone would show up Friday or Saturday. Didn't happen. Mon. comes. In the morning while I'm at work a man rings my doorbell, turns around and leaves standing at end of walkway for a minute (on camera). No card left or nothing. Maybe he was there for the estimate or it was something else. Don't know. It's now Tuesday afternoon and I've had no follow up at all. Not impressed with this company.

I highly recommend Rockwell Landscape Maintenance. Chance is the owner and landscaper of the company. We hired him after a terrible experience with another company. Chance was quick to respond, gave us a reasonable quote and works with our schedule to come and work on our yard. He responds promptly via text or email. He's flexible, friendly, reasonably priced and reliable. Even today he completed a full clean up in a matter of a few hours, the yard looks amazing and I am so happy with the experience. We just moved into a house that we are renting. The landscaping was in pretty bad shape there were some big weeds that had actually turned into small trees. The crew from Rockwell came out and did a great job getting rid of all of the weeds and trimming down the palms that had gotten out of control as well. It cost a bit much for the initial cleanup but it should be much easier now to maintain on a monthly basis than what it had been before . Excellent job to Rockwell! read more

Chance and crew have done a great job on our yard. In preparation for rye grass last Fall, they thatched and seeded better than any other yard service we've had. Also, the rye grass they planted was beautifully green and lush all Winter. They also did a great job of cleaning up some old, overgrown vegetation. read more

They got paid the initial cleaning fee of $900 to clean the yard. They dumped the brushes they cut…read moreinto the dumpster I rented from the city. The simple task was to upkeep the yard in the condition it got cleaned to for certain amount. They have been failing to do the job if supervision is not applied. Furthermore, when you ask them why they stopped watering the bushes for example, the answer was to pay them $25 more per visit so they hold the hose for 5 min. They do not upkeep the yard, the trees started to die, too much weed killer as well, perhaps. We never watered those bushes when we lived there, they are native to the desert and never died. The yard grows some weeds, oops, it is $120 more to spray the " extra" weeds. Because they have not being upkeeping or over spraying with weed killer, the bushes and the small trees started to die. I have a dead young palm tree as well. When you tell them to do what you have being paying them for, it is an extra $100 per visit. What have you been doing for the money you get? The bushes and small trees are the only things to maintain. Have you being mowing the rocks? When you do the " cleaning and maintenance trip" and you charge without getting the job done consistently, then ask for extra money to do what you were getting paid for and you did not do, it is a scam. $220 per hour for yard maintenance visit? I'm sorry , it's not BMW dealership service shop.

I found Cityscape at the Home & Garden Show in Scottsdale and scheduled a free estimate after…read morespeaking with a very friendly woman at their booth. Joey came out to do the quote and was quick, efficient, and explained what to expect. I received the estimate later that same day as promised and the price was fair. When I approved the quote we talked about color options, and he recommended the "Native" color. I wanted something neutral but with a little character in a herringbone pattern, and I'm really happy with how it turned out. He also mentioned darker tones tend to hold up better in the Arizona heat since lighter colors fade faster. The only hiccup was the scheduling process. They require a deposit before scheduling, which made me a little hesitant. I was told I'd get a call later that day to set the install date, but it took a couple follow-up calls before we actually got it confirmed. The office staff was always very polite and helpful though. On install day, I had given instructions on where materials could be placed since I live in a townhouse complex, but the pavers ended up being left in the grass overnight instead. Luckily everything was fine. I later found out the superintendent originally assigned to my project got sick, so another team member stepped in and didn't have all the details from our earlier conversations, which probably explains the communication mix-up. That said, once the work started the crew moved quickly and finished within the expected timeframe (about three days). The final result looks great and I'm very happy with the finished project.

Poor communication and project management; still incomplete after 3+ months…read more We hired CitiScapes for a travertine paver and turf installation. The crew's craftsmanship on the travertine was genuinely good, but everything around project management and communication fell short. Owner Kendall repeatedly gave us specific dates and times for work to happen, which were then missed without proactive updates -- we had to chase him for status on nearly every phase. Demo also ran long, and the crew failed to clear debris from our driveway in time for Easter; we ended up using Facebook Marketplace to get people to haul away leftover materials ourselves. The turf installation has been the most disappointing part. For what we paid for a premium product, the seams are visibly poor. It took five weeks just to get a crew out to attempt a repair, and that attempt made the seam lines worse. We now have a tentative date for another repair, but given the pattern of missed commitments, we're not confident it will be honored. At one point we went over a month without any contact from them - until they called asking for payment, and we had to push back to get anyone out to the site. The project started before Easter. It's now nearly August, and it's still not finished. If clear communication and reliable follow-through matter to you, I'd be cautious about pursuing CitiScapes.
