There are so many reviews online these days and it is hard to know who to trust. But Kimy at Comfort Tech is the real deal. Our 8 year-old mini split spontaneously stopped working in the middle of summer. And that simultaneously meant that my husband and I shutdown too as we're just not hot weather people. We dove into the research of trying to find a good repair technician, as we didn't have a great experience with the guys who installed our system. The Mitsubishi system we have has also been completely trouble free for the better part of a decade so we never had to have any come out and look at it. Well anyway, after we started calling around our short list of potential technicians, it was looking like it was going to be weeks until someone could even come by and look at it. Not surprising in the middle of summer but still. Then we got Kim on the horn. Not only was he still picking up the phone after hours, he said he could maybe try to work us in the following day. I should also say that, even before that, he spent a few (unpaid) minutes talking through the troubleshooting and making suggestions on some possibly easy fixes. He also endured my husband's inane questions with a sense of humor. The next day Kim called to follow-up, just as he said he would, and checked to see if it was a good time to come by. Within about five minutes of his van pulling into the driveway he had the issue diagnosed. Fortunately, it was a simple fix. 30 minutes later our house was once again filling with cool air. While Kimy's diagnostic fee was slightly on the low end of the others we were quoted, and he ended up charging us slightly less than what he quoted over the phone, the one disappointing part of this experience was that he applied what seems like an unreasonable markup on materials. The two 20AMP fuses he put in cost us $125. Other than that 800% markup, it was otherwise a good experience.

Back in Nov. 2022, our furnace stopped working, and Mr. Kimy came out on short notice to repair it. He is kind, friendly, efficient, and very knowledgeable. Our furnace died for good this Spring. We got in line for Mr. Kimy to install a heat pump. He finished the job earlier this week! The heat pump is wonderful!! Excellent job on installation, explanation, and cleanup!!! Still freaking awesome!…read more Our old 21 year old Payne furnace finally began a death spiral, issuing loud and scary backfires. This would literally shake the house a bit, as it was the old burners not firing correctly. We could have replaced them, but when you consider the work to be done, the ordering, and everything else--what if we had to just replace this old furnace anyway next year? I called up Accurate again. They wouldn't have had time to install a replacement furnace yesterday (January 21), we were going to be stuck without heat for a 10 month old baby. Their earliest available install window was Thursday, January 24, when I called. That would have left us without heat for days. They immediately began re-arranging schedules and jobs, and got Kent yesterday to scope out what we need at the end of the day and fixed their job orders so that we could get the furnace today--days early. Unbelievable service there! They ended up ordering a slightly too powerful furnace for us as well, for the size of our house, and he realized this as he did the math on our old unit and the duct work we had (it's a forced air system). They immediately got another unit ordered--all this no cost to us--and set us up for the install to finish today, the 22nd. Kent then quickly figured out the exact sequence and way in which the backfire was happening, and deduced it was safe to manually run the furnace "by hand". As long as it turned over fine right away, it was OK. They figured out a safe way to run the old furnace for a spell to top us off, and then even let us borrow a couple of space heaters for our bedrooms last night. Damned good ones, too. I don't think we've all slept that cozy in a while. Kent and Patrick showed up at 8am today, and were just a storm of awesome good humor, knowledge, and crazy efficiency. Old furnace got ripped out for recycle; they cleaned out the ducting and exhausts; we all discovered a poor dead robin whose nest had fallen into the chimney shaft to rest against the exhaust last summer reduced to a dessicated bird jerky; they dropped in an aluminum chimney liner and cap; hooked up the new unit to the new duct work that Derek from Accurate installed for us last year; cleaned up everything; tested it, and were gone by 1pm. AND they went and modified the previous duct work to put on a better door for accessing the filters. The new furnace is powerful and quiet so far. 1/3 the size of our old one and nearly 1/3 again as efficient and strong. With that, and a couple tips from them on adjusting some open heat exchangers--our house also doesn't have the most efficient ducting--our upstairs bedrooms now get a lot more heat and air output than they did on the old furnace. It's awesome. I love dealing with Terry's company. They are like a whirlwind of great energy and fantastic service.

They needed to order a part and Lou Anne who runs the office did everything she could to get it fast and have it on the warranty. She cared a great deal about me and my rescue parrots being warm as fast as possible I saw a couple of reviews saying Lou Anne isn't friendly. She may come off like that but she is just very busy and straightforward and good at her job. She and Terry both went out of their way for me and the two others in the crew I met were very professional. Oh, and they brought in space heaters to tide me over!

Aqualine Plumbing didn't even do the most basic parts of their job: showing up for their appointments, communicating with the customer, following up, ordering parts, nor scheduling the actual repair work. Total failure in every way. They failed to show up for the first appointment on 7/26/2024 scheduled between 12-2pm and I had to call them several times to find out if and when they would be arriving as it got closer to 2pm and beyond saying they would be there. When I made my last call I made to the around 4pm they that their service tech was still on his first call of the day and they wouldn't be coming. The office rescheduled for 7/27 and told me I would be their first call of the day and the tech would arrive between 9-9:30am. I informed them I had plans later and had to leave by 11am. I was texting the tech in the morning when he said he was on the way and reiterated that I needed to leave by 11am. Their tech showed up at 11:15am and I had to alter my plans. When the tech arrived I asked if I was his first appointment of the day and he confirmed that was true. Given that I had communicated my schedule with the office and with him, I asked why he was so late. Basically, he had no valid excuse and clearly decided to sleep in and show up whenever he wanted. I had six plumbing issues. They fixed one (reseated the toilet)and took pictures of everything else to order parts and schedule the next repairs. I didn't hear back from Aqualine and had to call them to try and determine when they would be scheduling their visit for the repairs. I called four separate times and each time they said they would get back to me but never did. They also said that they showed the repairs were completed in their system, which is as not true. I explained we were waiting on parts and still needed to schedule the repair appointment. I spoke to their office manager, yet again, on 9/5 who said the manager would be contacting me on 9/6 or 9/9 at the latest. No one ever called me back. I called spoke to Aqualine again on 9/16 and the office manager said the Manager would contact me but never did. It's now been almost 2 months and my repairs still are NOT completed. I had to contact American Home Shield to have another plumber assigned. The new contractor got me scheduled right away and said they strive to complete all repairs the same day with limited exceptions. That's what anyone would want or expect from a plumbing contractor when they are having plumbing issues. Aqualine can't even do the most basic things any company should do. Don't use this company unless you want to be frustrated, waste your time and still have plumbing issues that never get fixed. They don't have their act together.

After the diagnostics it was determine that my relay was out for the heating element. They called me up and gave me a flat price for the repair. After the part came in a week later they came out and installed it. It has been working great and while Michael was installing it, he also installed my Nest for free. TLDR; Upfront, flat pricing for parts and labor and travel fee. Did not ask for a cent more. Professional and courteous repair associates.
