In my 40+ years in Commercial Property Management I only found 2 companies to which I could give a 5 Star review. One is in the Low Desert, the other retired to Florida. I recently needed some exterior painting on my home and I dreaded the task. I have a 2 story home with many clay tile hip roofs projecting from the first floor. Working on or over clay roofs was a hard no for many prospective painters. A few more came out to take a look, said they would get back to me with a proposal. Then they disappeared. I got a ridiculously high proposal from a popular larger company in the area that wanted to rent a boom lift to do some of the easier to reach 2nd floor trim. When I first got Bill on the phone, we both proceeded quickly to our qualifying questions. That was a refreshing indicator of a true professional. When I began qualifying Bill for his ability and willingness to work on or over clay tile roofs, he didn't flinch or equivocate - he moved right in to describing his 3 preferred solutions. He knew of what he spoke! I knew right then this was my guy! After a few more qualifying questions from Bill regarding ballpark price questions I invited him over to see the property. He arrived on time, had a very pleasant and professional demeanor. We walked the property, defined a scope and a schedule in the course of 15 minutes. Bill then left and promised a proposal via email in a few hours. The proposal arrived timely. It was complete, professional, and produced in Word, so it was EZ to read. All you would expect from a pro. One correction in the scope of the contract was required. Bill revised it quickly. We compared our availability and we were able to set a start date in a matter of days. Bill and his crew showed up exactly on time on the appointed day. He introduced me to his crew. The crew boss spoke excellent English, whch was a definite plus. The crew was properly out fitted with all of the tools and supplies. They finished the job in two days when it was scheduled for up to 4. All 3 of the crew were professional, experienced painters. The crew chief had been with Bill for 30 years. Uncommon for this trade. Their traffic on the roof was minimal. I heard no tile cracks while they were working, and I was listening for them. There were numerous items on our front porch and back patio. They either moved them out of the way, tor covered them in plastic to protect them. Nothing was painted that was not scheduled to be painted. All scheduled items received 2 full coats. Bill even did me a favor by painting around 36 sq ft of a stucco wall that I later found in need for no additional cost. In summary, I have found a true pro with years of experience, who I have already referred to my next door neighbor without hesitation. I am sure I will be using him again. Professional, personable, reliable, and straightforward. Highly recommended by someone who knows what to look for in a quality paint job! read more
