Staff was pretty friendly, I have HUGE anxiety issues with dentists, so sitting in the chair was driving me a little mad... The Dentist was nice , very friendly. Somewhat made my case a little confusing tho, and no matter what I have to go to a endo specialist. I was told my root could be a complicated procedure, but thats another story.. lol The care I received was good, nothing to write home about, like I said staff was friendly, even gave me some water , offered room temp or cold, so that was nice... What I did not like was the chair to sit in during my exam, Im a bigger guy, but this chair was small, and side arm rests poke into your side.. so already adding to my anxiety level.. lol.. read more

I've used both offices since 2012 when I moved here, and they are consistently awesome as far as the front desk/scheduling to the hygienists and Dental Assistants/Nurses and most importantly Dr. Wong and his team of dentists I have had. Since I am an RN I have to comment on the accuracy and skill of their needle skills/nerve blocks. Just second to none, I am amazed at having no pain on injection, none during them drilling my facehole, and no numb face for 4hrs from needing more medicine, etc. I'm old now but still have all of my toofs and working hard to keep them in good shape. But I have a ton of work already done and Dr. Wong and his staff never tried to upsell me to replace old fillings, etc. They are all masked and provide a thyroid collar if requested. This staff seems genuinely happy to be there and all are super friendly and knowledgeable af, also not afraid to say "let me ask someone that" or "Let me get the Doctor to answer." They saw me on short notice this week to re-cement a crown. Seriously finding a good Dentist with an amazing staff is hella important. Dental care is as important and your health....it IS your health, people. Plus as my slightly racist German Grandmother used to say, "People judge you on your dentition." I have been a patient since 1985. I have followed Dr. Ricky from his first office and continued to be a patient through many changes in staff and even through Dr. Rickey's retirement over 2 years ago. It is now time for me and my family to find another dentist. During these last 2 years, each time my family visits the dentist, we leave with a bad feeling. Today during our regular checkups (which we put off several months due to COVID), we asked 2 staff members about the receiving the vaccine. Both said they were offered the vaccine but chose not to have it. In hindsight, we should have left immediately since my husband is battling stage 4 cancer. We can't continue to be patients at a dental office where the staff don't care about our safety. In addition, we are tired of the "upsell" attitude that this business has seemed to adopt since Dr. Rickey's departure. He was the best dentist ever and would never use those tactics. read more

I have moved to TN, but I still see Dr. Wong! I had a dental emergency & contacted Dr. Wong after getting alarming news from a local dentist in TN. Dr Wong returned my call right away & advised me as to what steps to take. He referred me to Dr. Dixon, who was able to send me to a specialist in Nashville, who has done an excellent job, helping me save my tooth. This is why I will continue to see Dr. Wong during my annual trips back to Cali! Dr. Wong resolved Vertigo issues I had when he corrected my bite prior to giving me a whole new smile. Long story short, if you've been here and they push any kind of procedure on you, seek a second opinion! I'm so upset with the fact that after almost 10 years with them I realized they've probably been putting me and my family through procedures we didn't need just so they can make an extra buck off us. I was seen just this past Monday morning for gum pain, they took a couple x-rays, sat me in a room, the dentist came in, never actually examined my mouth and immediately began pushing a root canal. I knew something was off... I seeked a second opinion and was seen the next day and found out that I had food stuck and this is why my gums were hurting and swollen, nowhere did it show that I needed a root canal...I'd love to go into more detail, but unfortunately I know most people will lose interest in this post if I do. So basically DON'T TRUST THEM!!!! read more

Quality Dentistry is great! It is super easy to make an appointment and the text and email reminders make sure I don't forget the date and time. The office is clean, staff are professional and friendly, and the dental chairs are comfortable. I am impressed with their modern techniques for checking my gums and roots. The hygienists are thorough, yet gentle. Dr. Wong is nice, efficient and I can tell he really cares about the health of my teeth/mouth. I did Invisalign with him a few years ago and the results are lovely. Not only are my teeth now "aligned", Dr. Wong says I will have fewer dental problems in the future. Yay! My three-year-old daughter has been to Quality Dentistry three times. The staff is experienced with kids and made her feel as comfortable and safe as possible. Called on a Thursday evening to there emergency message and there standard message at there office Friday morning no call back. I had to call them , then I was told I'd be seen at 4 , then they called back and changed it too 3 , I arrived at 2:45 and was greeted and put in a chair with a bib by 3:00 , I began writing this review in the chair! A's I was still sitting there at 3:40 without any reassurance I'd be attended to shortly just ignored? They didn't have my Xray ready even though I made the appointment 5 hours in advance of my appointment? Needles to say I witnessed quite a bit of joking and nurses talking to one another but not much actual work? I guess there staff gets distracted by TGIF. I doubt I'll ever return. read more

I went to this dentist a few times and was extremely disappointed. I had to get fillings done and they were done wrong, had to go back, and were made worse. I've had to see a different dentist. The chairs are extremely uncomfortable and they lean you back so far you have to hold on the entire time. I was numbed and it wasn't done correctly; my eye was going numb along with my under eye. The hygienist that did my cleaning had my gums bleeding so bad it was dripping onto my chin. She was flossing around my tooth and not just in between and said that flossing is done around the teeth . Strange . The dentist also numbed the wrong side of my mouth and had to numb the right side, so both sides of mouth were unnecessarily numbed. The lady that deals with financial business is extremely rude and unpleasant . Won't return, and wouldn't recommend! read more

Doctor Rickey has put 5 implants into my mouth. He did it over time as to not break my bank. He was patient and worked very hard to make this work for me. He gave me no pressure to do them and let me dictate the pace. I checked around and the implants would have cost me thousands more at other dentists. I have always found him a pleasure to do business with. His office staff is very friendly and caring about all patients. He is my regular dentist too. The cleanings and other work they have done has always been excellent. I highly recommend him. read more

***EXCEPTIONAL*** This is not an over exaggeration!!! The entire staff is friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. they are more than accommodating and very supportive. Their facility is well designed, organized and exceptionally clean. I've got a lot of work that needs to be done and will be a frequent guest... I am strangely looking forward to it. i highly recommend their services and with the time i spent there, my opinion more than qualifies. See my story below... I was told by my dentist, almost 10 years ago, that i had "bad teeth" and needed implants. This news and estimated cost caused me to all but give up on my mouth. The most recent cavity kept me up all night and forced me to "bite the bullet" so to speak. Not knowing where to go i Googled dentists in Modesto and quality dentists came up first. I opened the web page and saw they had 2 locations, one being in Livermore. This caught my eye the most since i work in the bay area. I called hoping to be seen the same day but not feeling confident. they got me in and got right to work on me. Since i was already missing work i asked them to do everything they could that day. They did! I was there from 9am to 4pm with a lunch break of course. I got the critical care that was need, a cleaning that was 9 years over due and at no time did they make me feel the embarrassment i know i should have felt. And the most important to me... My teeth are healthy!!!!!!! My previous dentist was incorrect, i don't have bad teeth, but i do grind my teeth and have a misaligned bite that causes me to put an unsafe amount of pressure and strain on my teeth. My dental plan of procedures is being worked on currently and will be initiated soon. I will check back with you and update you on my progress as well as my personal opinions at that point. Dr's Rickey & Wong do a great job! I have been a patient for about 7 years. Their offices are clean, well maintained, efficiently run and staffed with a great group of people. They are very mindful of my time (which I appreciate) and you can rely on being seen as scheduled. Although they work on an appointment basis, I have had an emegency and been seen immediately. I am able to schedule with the hygienist I prefer, Jeanne, and always feel as though I'm a guest not some random customer. They do a great job with kids, I take my granddaughters (7 & 8) to see them. Unfortunately they do not have insurance so I have to pay out of pocket. I have only been here twice. First time for cleaning for my kids and myself and they tell us we need all these things done so we arrange that appointment. They have charged me and my insurance company so much money in the 2 visits alone. Everytime I call to speak to billing they tell me that they will take care of it but they do not. If you want to be bullied into appointments and overcharged then go here! They have messed up several times on my bills and realized they were wrong but I had to say something about it. Also, 60.00 just to talk to the oral surgeon?? And they don't bother to tell you that you have to pay that out of pocket until it's time to walk out of the office. Now it's a new year and they are saying I owe almost 200.00 because my insurance didn't cover the last appointment (teeth cleaning) which they urged me to get before I'm maxed out. I have been going to Dr. Rickey for almost 10 years now. I have watched his practice grow and add more dentist to his business over the years. Everything was fine while I had no major work that needed to be done. The hygienists are fantastic, and the front office staff is very nice and accommodating. When Dr. Wong first joined the practice he was very awesome to work with. He was fun, informative, took his time and did quality work. Unfortunately all this has changed over the years. The last few visits he was very short with communicating with me, had an attitude, and was in a rush to see his next patient. His focus was not on the patient any longer, it was on how many patients he could cram into seeing in a day. The first incident came when I was in for a routine exam and informed them of a recent fibromyalgia diagnosis. Dr. wong said he could cure my fibromyalgia with botox shots to my forhead. I knew that the direction of this dental office had changed into more of a dental spa at that point. Still liking the office I just changed from seeing Dr. Wong to only seeing Dr. Rickey. The next incident came after having a routine exam they informed me that I had 3 cavities. That was fine and I scheduled a new appointment and had then filled. At the next routine cleaning check up (6 months later) I was informed by the hygienist that I still needed to have one cavity filled. I said I already had them filled at a previous appointment. She said they only filled 2, and the last one needed to be filled. I was so upset that they did not fill all 3 at the same time, but they did not inform me of only filling 2. The last straw when dealing with him came when I brought my 6 year old daughter in to have 2 bottom teeth removed. In a previous appointment Dr. Rickey suggested that they needed to be removed since the adult teeth were coming in behind the baby teeth not pushing the baby teeth out. We had to schedule the appointment in another office with Dr. Wong since Dr. Rickey would not do nitrous. At the appointment with Dr. Wong I wanted to try and have my daughter be numbed with a local injection, as I would have liked to avoid nitrous if possible. She did the first injection fine. And then when she started to feel the numbness it startled her and she started to cry. She was scared and upset. Dr. Wong turned into a complete ass at this point. He was harshly talking to my daughter telling her she needed to settle down, and that other patients would hear her. He made the situation go from bad to worse. He then stepped out of the opratory to give her a chance to settle down. When he came back he proceeded to tell me that he did not agree with Dr. Rickey that the teeth needed to be pulled, and if this was his child he wouldn't do it. He was rude and condescending towards me, enough so that I started to cry myself. My child was upset and half numbed, and I was upset. I told him that I would like to proceed with the procedure and try it with nitrous. He then left again to work on another patient while the assistant got the nitrous ready for my daughter. He came back when she was under the nitrous pulled her teeth out and then left. He was not caring, kind, or informative. He was extremely rude and in a huge rush. Dr. Rickey has always been kind, respectful, and takes his time with me. But unfortunately he does not work very many days, and it is the other Dr.'s that I have had problems with. The focus of this dental practice has changed over the years. The focus was on caring for the patient and giving the highest quality of work possible. Now the focus is on how many patients can be seen in a day, and building a bigger practice with multiple locations. I have seen multiple dentists (at least 3 other Dr.'s that I know of) come and go over the years. They have lost the quality dentistry that they built their practice on. I am tired of feeling rushed through my appointments, being treated badly by Dr. Wong, and the general direction this dental practice is going in. After so many years I am now changing dentists to one that is respectful of me, and values me as a patient. read more

I went in for a new filling and I had crappy work done my tooth became bulky had to get it fixed by a different dentist. The dental technicians were great. the dentists not so much. The first dentist was a bit rude , but at least he did offer to numb my gums. when i went back to have the permanent crowns put in i had a lady dentist i think she is of India decent. she was not so nice and she didn't offer to numb my gums. when she was finished with me she just walked out without even saying good by. Like i was nothing to her. and when the dental Tech started cleaning my gums it hurt bad. But they didn't even offer to numb my gums. I don't think ill go back to this place any time soon. I've been a patient of Dr. Wong's for three years now and he is hands down the best dentist I've ever had. He listens to my concerns and doesn't brush me off like I'm just another patient on his long list for the day. He remembers who I am and talks to me like a person not just a patient. I have very sensitive teeth so sometimes I go in because I think I have a cavity and really there's nothing there, he never belittles me or sees me as a nuisance. He has cured me of being an "anti-dentite" We really were impressed with the wonderful deal we got on Invisalign. I had braces for four years as a child, but my teeth began to move again now in my mid twenties. He has been excellent with the care, questions, and all of my concerns about my process. I started going to Quality Dentistry about 10 years ago. Dr. Rickey was recommended by a friend. He was fantastic - never did or encouraged unnecessary work. Over the last year he has gradually left the practice. Dr Rickey is now fully retired and Quality Dentistry has been completely taken over by Dr Wong. Now if you go to this office Dr Wong will be bound and determined to talk you into some unnecessary procedure. I have no problems with my teeth - every 6 month cleaning with nothing wrong with my teeth. So what does Dr Wong do - he says I need two fillings replaced. When I told him there was nothing wrong with the teeth he said "well not yet". They are going to break if you don't have the fillings replaced. Little did I know that he meant he would cause these teeth to have problems when he replaced the fillings. After drilling the old filling out on one tooth he said "well this one may need a root canal". When I got irritated that he now caused a problem that wasn't there before he quickly finished drilling and left an assistant (also brand new) to finish up. Then he sent me a letter telling me he didn't want to be my dentist any more. Well that's quite a laugh since I had started looking for a new dentist the minute I walked out of the office. read more

I love Dr. Rickey & Dr. Wong's office. I've been going to him for years and he was my daughters very first dentists at age 4 and she is now 17. My daughter and I have had all kinds of work done, braces, composite fillings, root canals, crowns and now I have a nice new smile from my veneer. they are very friendly and quite thorough with trying to give an accurate estimate.
