This past Saturday, I rented equipment from Quality Equipment Rentals for the first time. I called in advance to reserve a sod cutter. When I got there, the staff explained how use it and helped me to load it into my truck. They also provided ramps to get it in and out of my truck. They also provided written instructions and a labeled diagram of the sod cutter. I rented it on Saturday for the whole day, which meant that I had to return it before 9am on Monday for the single day rate. (They are closed on Sunday.) But I ended up returning it within a few hours, so they refunded me so that I was only paying the 4-hour rate. I had a great experience renting from here and will definitely return - especially since they seem to have everything you could possibly need! read more

Went to rent out a 40' ladder for a huge job in Beverly Hills, and unfortunately the ladder did not extend fully as it had an error with the pulley on the ladder. By this point we can't do the job and spent money to rent the ladder for the day. We took the ladder back just an hour and a half after and explained our problem, and they were happy to assist us, fixed the ladder for the next customer, and gave us a full refund. After being delivered a visibly damaged Scissor lift and having it not work properly, I was aggressively challenged by the dispatch (I will leave his name out, because I'm sure he is a good guy) on the floor requirement a lift would need to work properly. I was ready to call it quits and ask for a return. ONLY with the word and reassurance of OMAR to his dispatcher and Manager (JOHN) was I able to get a replacement lift THAT WAS WORKING! I understand some tools get damaged and refurbished, to be used and rented out again. What concerned me was the fact that I received a visibly and non-working faulty lift, then accused of picking the wrong one. The truth is, without Omar vouching for me, Im sure I would have received the short end of the stick with this Company and that makes me concerned as a customer. read more

The big deal is that I'm a skinny little white girl, but I do a lot of building/carpentry, metalworking and I fix my own damn car. Whenever I go to buy tools or materials I'm used to getting funny looks or stares, or being spoken to like I don't know what I'm talking about. In an attempt to save money, boyfriend and I decided to try and take on painting our loft with an airless paint sprayer. Long story short, we failed miserably and ultimately hired a pro. However, the guys here are fantastic. We told them what we wanted to do, and they hooked us up with the airless paint sprayer, a flood lamp, box fan to help with the fumes, and a heat gun. They were very personable and very knowledgeable about their equipment. We were given a demonstration on how to use everything (not that it helped), and their daily rates were very reasonable and less than renting from Home Depot! Did I mention that they have some awesome goodies in their office? You can grab some free coffee or bag of popcorn while you wait. When I was there on Saturday, there was seriously a box of doughnuts just hanging out for the taking. First, you pull into the yard where there is a clearly marked area for renters to pull up to. Second, the attendant in the yard comes to your car before you're barely out, and asks what you're renting. He then writes up a ticket for you to take inside to make the rental transaction while he retrieves the tool or equipment you're renting. Third, the guys inside ring you up, and explain to you the terms of your rental. Fourth, you go back outside, and the attendants give you a tutorial on how to use the machine. Then they load it into your car. Fifth, you're out of there in no time. * All of this takes place with employees who are very helpful, informative, and friendly. * I rented a concrete chainsaw. I needed it to cut through a vertical concrete block wall. I was a little worried it might be difficult, and slightly dangerous to use, but I was shocked at how easy it was to use. This place deserves 6 stars. We had a very special application needing a transport dolly, a small vertical lift and a flatbed trailer. We had to transport and install an extremely valuable piece of art which was very heavy and delicate. It is so easy for me to post a bad review when a business does something that I don't like, so I'm taking the time out to say you should really consider renting from QER. They have bed bug heaters which is what I've gotten from them the most. All the guys that work there are really nice, helpful and polite. They are open on Saturdays but closed on Sunday's which is great because if you rent on Saturday you basically get an extra rental day. Their staff is knowledgeable and they don't talk down to me like some places do because I'm a girl. When I say they have everything you could think of I mean everything- like those big crane looking things and huge generators. I'm a DIY kind of girl so I'll go here before home depot. There prices are reasonable too. I rented a big generator for about $120 a day, bed bug heaters were about $100 each. I don't usually give 5 stars because I feel like you have to do super above and beyond to deserve it and this place actually does. read more
