Installed vinyl plank flooring…read more He threw the boxes of vinyl planks down on my upstairs floor, as if he were a roofer throwing bundles of shingles down on a roof. It was so hard that he shook the dome off my light fixture down below. The fixture broke, and Frenchy told me I could just superglue that back together ... and he thought that was fine. He was installing some of the planks in a room with a new sink. The room was under construction, and the sink wasn't attached yet. There was no drain, and no faucet. He filled up his water bucket in the shower, and instead of pouring that down that shower drain or the toilet when he was done, he poured it down the sink that had no drain. Water went all over the inside of my new cabinet, which he hardly wiped up. When I went down hours later to see how things were doing, the floor of my brand new thousand dollar cabinet was still covered in a half inch of standing water and the floor of the cabinet was ruined. He didn't think that was any big deal either. He used duct tape to hold down a transition piece. And when I pulled the duct tape up the next day, it pulled the finish off that transition piece. Brand new, and it was also trashed. The planks he laid look good, but he did so much peripheral damage, that I would never, ever recommend Frenchy. Post reply by owner: A few corrections to your reply: You did not offer to replace the vanity. You offered to lay vinyl plank flooring on the floor of the inside of the cabinet, to hide all the waviness from that water you poured down there having sat there. That plank flooring would have added bit of height to the floor, onto which the drawer mounts sat, which would have made the drawers not fit in the space. I left the sink drain in its packaging sitting inside that sink, so that it should have been obvious that the drain wasn't hooked up. And there is absolutely no excuse for your not having totally... totally... wiped up every bit of water you poured down there. You told me you thought you had cleaned it up pretty well. I don't know what a half inch of water standing on the cabinet floor could meet your definition of "pretty well". Even if you had offered to replace the entire cabinet, which you did not, that would have required me to redo all the tile work around the cabinet installation. I am bothered by your diminishing your having broken my kitchen light fixture. It doesn't matter if it was small or big. It was one of a group of nine can lights in my kitchen. HomeDepot no longer carried that exact style, so that I would have had to replace eight of them to match the one you would have replaced. I did not pull up that duct tape until after I had left the original review, so that was another piece of damage I found. I was just down there, cleaning the bathroom, getting ready for houseguest, and I got annoyed with you all over again. You were very careless in several ways that damaged my house. I think it's only fair to warn your customers that you could do that.

I had let it go way too long. The painting was the easy part. Luke had to scrape and sand for three days, a day and a half longer than I thought it would take. I felt bad for him because I don't think he expected it to take that long either. Nevertheless he hammered through it and got it prepped for paint. It looks great! The other reason and maybe more importantly is Luke is a great human. We had a dog named Jax that was dying when Luke was here painting. Our dog couldn't travel anymore so we left him here. Luke was so kind and compassionate in the way he treated Jax while we were out. I didn't expect that to happen. With that in mind, I was extremely impressed with Evergreen Ecoscape and Design. They helped us with a couple of landscape projects for our house in North Colorado Springs (Northgate area), and their services have been nothing short of exceptional. Our first project involved removing some sod in the front yard and replacing it with landscape rocks. This project not only enhanced the aesthetics of our yard but also promised to reduce water usage during the growing season and minimize the effort required for lawn maintenance (mowing, aeration). Evergreen, starting with Wesley, did a fantastic job of listening to our needs. Wesley came up with a proposal that met or exceeded all our expectations. They ordered the rock, installed the contractor-grade weed cloth, and hauled away the debris, making the entire process smooth and efficient. One thing to keep in mind is that many Colorado Springs landscape companies do not work in the winter. Evergreen is a notable exception. They worked around the weather and snow to ensure that the work was done professionally and not that busy winter time. Their commitment to their work is evident in their ability to adapt to challenging conditions without compromising quality. The second project involved building a dry creek bed, or arroyo, in the backyard. This project was designed to help with flood mitigation during summer storms. Tyler and Luke were phenomenal in executing this relatively complex project. As with most projects, we encountered some snags, but Tyler was able to adjust the plan to ensure that the water flowed correctly and made sure that the water gutters from the roofs had an unobstructed path to lower ground. Very important for the torrential down pours we sometime get in the Summer. I was very impressed with Evergreen's professionalism, communication, hard work, and ability to improvise to ensure that the project deliverables were met. They assured me that they would stay until the job was done right and correct, which they did. Our front yard is very small and we have an even smaller patch of turf that we wanted some help mowing/fertilizing. I was satisfied with their pricing structure but for the fact that they wanted to charge an insanely high hourly rate for hand pulling weeds. I called to talk to them about this and to point out that there weren't many weeds that were grown but a lot of fledgling weeds which was the whole reason we needed the help (we handpick / dig up more mature weeds all the time). We reached an agreement we were comfortable with and then when they sent us an upgraded bid, they still had a crazy high amount baked into the bid for handpicking weeds. I called to ask if they could get an eyes on the property before we approved that high amount (as I was comfortable with them spraying instead of handpicking) and they said they didn't have time to send anyone out and that the height of the weed will determine whether they spray or handpick, then they told me we could handpick the weeds that were taller ourselves if we wanted to, which was pretty upsetting. I felt very nickle and dimed by these folks given that our yard is not very big and the cost including the handpicking was the highest bid we received by far. We wanted to work with them but they were so concerned about a team of landscapers having to pick maybe 5-6 weeds, they set a very high price. I even sent them a picture of the yard and they even agreed there arent many weeds but still insisted on the high handpicking charge. Very disappointed.
